Chapter 1509 1509: Part 4: 10th Order Monster!
From MC’s Perspective:
Time passed.
Noon arrived. My frustration turned to anger. If I continued like this, I wouldn’t be able to complete the mission.
I needed to find a way to escape this monster’s grasp. What should I do? I kept staring at the mirror before making a decision.
I’m still one step away from becoming a Level-9 Wizard. If I become a Level-9 Wizard, the power of my spells would be formidable.
They might even injure Supreme or 10th-Order monsters.
Before that, I decided to try the 6th stage of the magic spell.
Swoosh!
I appeared outside. Numerous roots covered the ground, entangled with each other.
“Gravity Domain!”
I cast the magic spell. The next moment, a black sphere appeared, enveloping me and the roots on the ground.
The roots stretched outside the sphere, making it impossible to cover them fully.
The next second, the spell’s power took effect. Gravitational force began acting on the roots.
Flash!
Many eyes opened in an instant. The next moment, those eyes burst into a bloody mess due to the gravitational pressure.
Boom!
The roots tried to escape the black sphere, but they started breaking apart. The spell’s power included the gravity rule, making it difficult for the 10th-Order monster to act freely.
As time passed, the gravity spell’s power intensified. The dark tree roots trapped inside the sphere lost their color.
They began to disintegrate. Seeing this, I thought the roots would die soon.
Meanwhile,
The 10th-Order Multi-Eyes Monster became alert. It immediately used other tree roots to attack the enemy.
Out of nowhere, more roots approached the black sphere. They began attacking it.
Boom!
But when they struck the black sphere, an explosion occurred. The black domain sphere held strong.
On the other hand, I found it difficult to maintain the spell. The sudden attack caught me off guard. The gravity mana was being consumed at a rapid rate.
Boom!
One after another, the dark tree roots struck the black domain sphere.
Suddenly, cracks started to appear on the sphere. At the same time, I felt the impact force. It was so intense that controlling the spell became challenging.
As the attacks continued, the domain sphere was on the verge of collapse.
Click!
At one point, the black domain sphere exploded. Before the impact force hit my body, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion.
Outside,
The shockwave swept through the surroundings. The dark tree roots were struck by the force but remained intact.
Nothing happened to them. The dark tree roots withstood the impact.
In the control room, I watched the scenes in the control mirror. It was terrifying. As expected, fighting a 10th-Order Monster was no easy task.
I was having this much trouble against just a few dark tree roots. What would happen if I encountered the main body of the 10th-Order Monster?
There’s a saying that monster species are generally more powerful than wizards of the same level. This 10th-Order Monster might be stronger than certain Supreme Wizards.
If it can take down Supreme Wizards, it could easily kill me. I suspect the Multi-Eyes Monster has magical abilities as well.
So far, it’s only used to track my whereabouts. But I suspect it has other magical abilities too.
Fortunately, I had the Gregor Mansion. Otherwise, escaping the clutches of such a monster would have been impossible.
Now, I find myself in a tough situation. I tried my best against the 10th-Order Monster. It’s not easy to destroy the dark tree roots, let alone confront the main body.
To escape this situation, I have only one solution: to become a Level-9 Wizard. As this occurred to me, I felt more certain.
Then I decided to stay inside the Gregor Mansion until the breakthrough. I have the magic resources with me, so there won’t be any problem with practice.
Then I went back to the room to sleep.
Outside,
The dark tree roots continued to stay there. But the roots whose eyes were destroyed inside the domain sphere earlier began to retreat.
The 10th-Order Monster was retracting the damaged roots. Instead, new dark roots occupied the place.
They were waiting for the prey to appear again.
…
Silver Tower:
The wizard seeds started to miss Vincent Carey. They didn’t know what had happened to him. To the outside world, he had been put under some secret training.
But the wizard seeds knew that wasn’t the case.
Even Wizard Celeste knew Vincent Carey was on a confidential mission. So she could only wait for him to return.
Then she would challenge him to a duel.
At the same time, Wizard Seeds Wilfred, Susan, and Jason were after Supreme Wizard Filip.
They were waiting for him to commit a crime so they could catch him red-handed. But every time, they missed their chance.
Even Supreme Wizard Filip sensed something was wrong and started lying low. The forces outside the Silver Tower were monitoring the situation.
They too felt that the Silver Tower had been quiet these days, without any noise. The news about the new wizard, Vincent Carey, had quieted down.
Nobody was talking about Vincent Carey anymore.
But the Wizard Seeds from other magic towers hadn’t forgotten him. They knew the orders given by their official members.
For a long time, the Silver Tower was considered one of the top three magic towers. This was justified, as its Wizards and Wizard Seeds were strong.
Some of them had powerful backgrounds, so no one dared to challenge them. But when it came to a Wizard Seed, the situation was different.
Vincent came from a humble background. If anyone defeated him, they could gain fame without facing consequences.
The higher-ups of the Silver Tower wouldn’t target others for legitimate fights. The magic duel arena was patiently waiting for the day to come when the wizard seeds could start their magic duels.
Meanwhile,
The Forbidden Wizard Remi had been given an important mission by the Black Tower. So he had left the magic city not long ago.
As a result, no one from the Black Tower was thinking about the Silver Tower now.
The current situation had brought a rare period of peace to the magic city, where everyone was minding their own business.
