Black Tower:

It’s midnight. It didn’t take long for the Forbidden Wizard Remi to learn the truth. After discovering that the wizard seeds had survived, he wasn’t surprised.

He had guessed before that this could be possible. But he was shocked and disappointed to know that the target was alive. He was not in the vehicle at all during the attack.

Remi realizes that he has made a mistake. It will be a matter of time before the Forbidden Wizards of the Silver Tower take action.

He knows that if the Forbidden Wizards decide to investigate, they could easily find me. There are many special and unique wizards working for the mage union.

Including the most mysterious ones known as Fate Wizards. Remi’s eyes flickered. Only the Fate Wizards can block another Fate Wizard’s prying magic.

Remi decides to leave immediately to meet one person. He won’t be coming back anytime soon. He then left the Black Tower in a hurry. It didn’t take long for him to exit the magic city.

The whole magic city is sleeping in silence. Yet they don’t know the main culprit has left the city.

From MC’s Perspective:

Inside the room, I’m lying on the bed, looking at the ceiling. I didn’t expect the Forbidden Wizard Remi to attack them as well. I don’t know what’s going on.

“Was he targeting me or others?” I asked myself.

If his target was me, then there was no need to target others. Did he make a mistake? I doubt the Forbidden Wizard could make such a low-level mistake.

He must have known there were other wizard seeds in the vehicle as well. Yet he went on to attack them. I felt goosebumps all over my body.

I don’t think it’s a simple rivalry between the Silver Tower and the Black Tower. It’s something else. I must figure out the motive of the Forbidden Wizard Remi.

But before that, there is a chance that Forbidden Wizard Charlotte and Manager Lara could find out the culprit. If they find him, then the truth could be revealed faster.

Whether it’s a rivalry between the two magic towers or something beyond.

Then I pushed down these thoughts. I have my own match tomorrow. But somehow the excitement has faded away.

Then I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

I got out of bed early in the morning and started doing my morning work. Compared to before, I woke up two hours earlier. I decided to practice inside the mana chamber to increase my strength.

Final preparations are ongoing in the magic area. The Duel Arena Manager Garrett is checking the important area, which is the duel platform.

Last time, Vincent Carey’s magic had shattered the arena tiles. So this time he had brought tiles from a company that were made with new technology.

He hopes that the new tiles will last long today. After that, he spends time inspecting the audience area. He is checking whether the place is safe or not.

He had heard about the attack on the Silver Tower Wizards yesterday. He was terrified. He doesn’t know who was responsible for the attack. He doesn’t want any mishap to happen today.

So he is taking his time with the inspection.

On the other hand, the people who have bought tickets are hesitating. The fear from yesterday’s attack has gripped their hearts.

They don’t know what to do if a similar attack takes place today. So the majority of them have decided not to come. Yet there are people who are ready to attend because of the bets.

Some have placed bets on Vincent Carey, while others on Peter Doyle. If they wanted, they could stay at home to watch the duel.

But they don’t want to waste their tickets. The prices of the tickets were not enormous. Yet, unwillingly, some of them have decided to attend the event.

Not only the general public has these doubts; even the wizard families are pondering whether to attend the event or not. They could still watch it from home.

So some of the wizard families have decided not to come as well. They have only one life. Even if they were injured, there is a risk of foundational damage as well. So they don’t want to take any risks.

Those who can target Wizard seeds of the Silver Tower can target them as well.

Manager Garrett returned to his office after the inspection. But the mood of the office was not good. The staff are discussing whether it’s okay to delay the event.

The city authorities haven’t found the culprit yet. They are taking a risk by continuing with the event. In yesterday’s attack, many nearby locals suffered injuries because of the aftermath.

The shockwave had destroyed many nearby shops and buildings. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported. But if the attack had taken place inside the commercial buildings, the casualties would have been higher.

Manager Garrett was pissed off hearing this conversation. He had almost forgotten about the people who had bought tickets. But fortunately, it’s up to them whether they are willing to come or not. There are no refunds.

But for safety, he decided to request help from the higher-ups. If they send a Forbidden Wizard here, then he could be at ease. The Forbidden Wizard would take care of the things here.

He then sent a request to the higher-ups without waiting further. Then he started texting the managers of both the magic towers to confirm about the duel.

Especially, he asked Manager Lara many times about Vincent Carey. After learning that Vincent Carey was fine, he sighed in relief.

If Vincent Carey were to postpone the event, then no one could blame him. Someone had attacked the Silver Tower’s wizard seeds.

They could possibly target the new wizard seed of the Silver Tower, who is popular these days.

So Manager Garrett is happy that the duel event is going to happen like scheduled.
