His gaze swept across all the elders. Jason Nicholson was sitting beside him. He was deeply thinking as well. No one dares to attack the Magic Tower, let alone attack the Silver Tower.

Hearing the Family Head’s question, the family elders began to ponder. The eldest one who deals with rules and crimes stood up and said, “Family Head, we don’t have enemies inside the Magic City.”

Hearing that, a look of understanding dawned on everyone.

The majority of them thought the law enforcement elder was right.

But Rick Nicholson’s eyes flickered. He didn’t agree with the elder’s words. He believed desperate people could do anything.

Jason Nicholson recalled something before saying, “Father, there was a similar attack reported not long ago. A flying cab engulfed in flames. It was reported that the driver self-immolated.”

Gasp!

The next second, a surprised exclamation sounded inside the room. They almost forgot about the report.

The law enforcement elder’s eyes lit.

He said, “Young Master is right. I read a similar report not long ago.”

Then one after another, a couple of elders spoke about the report. The report was real. The flying cab was engulfed in flames. The fire was set from inside.

No one used a magic spell to attack. This was confirmed in the magic forensic report.

Rick Nicholson furrowed his eyebrows. He had arranged the emergency meeting to find out clues. Instead of clearing the doubts, the meeting caused more doubts to appear.

“Is someone stirring up unnecessary trouble?” Rick Nicholson thought to himself.

If the attack was carried out by the same mastermind, then why target the wizard seeds of the Silver Tower?

Rick then collected his thoughts before saying, “From tomorrow onwards, a level-9 Wizard will be acting as your protector.”

“You can’t leave without him,” he added.

Jason Nicholson’s expression turned ugly. He didn’t like anyone to know about his activities.

He then immediately said, “The magic arena duel is tomorrow.”

“I have to be there,” he added.

Rick Nicholson nodded before saying, “I’m going there as well. But still, the protector will follow you. Who knows, there could be another attack tomorrow?”

Jason Nicholson unwillingly agreed. Until the mystery surrounding the attack clears up, he won’t feel at ease.

Rick then said, “I hope it’s not related to the Silver Tower.”

Jason’s expression changed drastically. “Father, we are not even official members yet. It’s impossible for a big organization to target us.”

Rick Nicholson smiled helplessly before saying, “You have no idea about the Mage Union. Once you become an official member, you will know everything.”

Jason Nicholson shook his head. He knew he couldn’t get answers from his father.

Then their family meeting ended quickly. Jason Nicholson returned to his room.

Cox Family:

A similar kind of meeting was happening inside the Cox family building. Wilfred Cox was grilled by his father. His father knew that he liked to use his illusion magic everywhere on anyone.

Wilfred assured them that he didn’t do anything. He wouldn’t attack anyone without knowing their background. He was aware of the undercurrents surging in the city.

So he wouldn’t make such foolish mistakes. Finally, after getting his confirmation, his family started to think in other angles.

Wilfred Cox was pissed off. He wished he could find the mastermind behind the attack. Then he would use his illusion magic to make him live in terror.

Unfortunately, he didn’t know who attacked him. Only from Manager Lara did he learn that someone targeted their vehicle.

It didn’t take long for them to verify whether it was the work of their enemy or not. Their enemies were some organizations, but they were not capable of fighting against the Mage Union.

So they removed the doubts from their minds.

Wilfred Cox was afraid his family wouldn’t let him leave. Tomorrow is a big day. He wanted to watch the duel live between Vincent Carey and Tom Doyle.

Then he told his father about his plan. The family had also made a bet on Vincent Carey, so his father agreed quickly.

Wilfred decided to discuss with others about the attack tomorrow. Since the family had confirmed it was not their enemy, he planned to ask the other two tomorrow.

From the beginning to the end, the name of Vincent Carey didn’t cross his mind. It’s because of Vincent Carey’s humble background.

No one would have imagined the person behind the attack was the forbidden wizard Remi of the Black Tower.

If people were to know about the news, then the whole magic city would be shaken. The Mage Union wouldn’t let go of the Black Tower.

The Black Tower has bad remarks to begin with. This incident could cause serious consequences for them.

But so far no one knows about the attacker, let alone the mastermind behind them.
