Adam handed over the fresh vegetables and several packets of rice and flour from his bamboo basket, he spoke softly, "Auntie, I just bought these from the market, living alone, you must take good care of yourself."

Aunt Vina’s eyes grew slightly red, she repeatedly voiced her thanks, gratitude apparent in every word and expression.

Leaving Aunt Vina’s home, Adam hurried toward the riverbank, it was the spring plowing season, and the river had grown turbulent from days of rain, many villagers were worrying about how to irrigate their fields.

Seeing this, Adam rolled up his pant legs without a second word and jumped in, he inspected and reinforced several dams in the water, ensuring the current could be smoothly guided into the farmlands.

The villagers cast admiring glances, and some joined in voluntarily, while working, Adam chatted and laughed merrily with them, asking about the growth of their crops and sharing planting experiences, that warmth and harmony formed a cozy picture of spring.

In the afternoon, the sun grew blazing hot, but Adam showed no sign of stopping, he had heard that Carpenter Jax’s house had accidentally caught fire, though the flames had been extinguished, the home had suffered heavy losses and urgently needed rebuilding.

Adam immediately gathered several strong young villagers and brought tools to Carpenter Jax’s house, they divided the work and cooperated, some cleared debris, some transported timber, and others began planning the structure of the new house.

Adam took the lead, personally wielding the tools, with deft hands, he carved patterns on the doors and windows, axe stroke by chisel mark, every detail revealed his enthusiasm and friendliness, sweat soaked his clothes, but a smile of contentment consistently shone on his face.

As the sun set and the last ray of sunlight fell on the silhouette of the new house, Carpenter Jax tightly grasped Adam’s hands, tears glimmering in his eyes, "Leon, you are truly the pride of our Flowing Town."

When night fell, the small town was enveloped in a faint layer of moonlight, appearing exceptionally quiet and peaceful, Adam did not choose to go home and rest, instead, carrying a lantern, he slowly walked along the bluestone road, beginning his night patrol.

He knew that although the town was tranquil at night, it harbored hidden safety hazards, wherever he went, he carefully checked doors and windows and watched for suspicious figures, if he encountered villagers returning late, he would escort them home.

Sure enough, at the western entrance, he ran into Aunt Nola heading home alone, she was advanced in years with poor eyesight, Adam hurriedly stepped forward, took the lantern from her hand, and said softly, "Aunt Nola, let me escort you back, it’s dark, so watch your step."

Aunt Nola thanked him repeatedly, her heart full of warmth.

The night deepened, by the time Adam finally returned to his humble hut, the moon was high, he took off his soaked clothes, wiped himself down, and sat on the edge of the bed, by dim candlelight, he flipped through several medical books borrowed from the town.

He was also self-studying medicine, hoping to relieve the villagers of ailments during critical moments, he silently memorized the contents as he read.

In Flowing Town, Leon’s story was like a clear spring, nourishing everyone’s heart, Adam set down the medical book and lay on the bed.

He was inside Leon’s body and could not use his own spiritual energy, only the evil qi Leon had erupted with, naturally, he would not use it, therefore, everything he did was just like a normal person, as time trickled by, he still did not know what the Devourer of Desires was planning.

He was somewhat worried about whether Drax could hold on, however, he could still sense Drax’s life signs through a mark he had planted in Drax’s body for tracking purposes, it seemed the flow of time here differed from the outside.

He had calculated that their formations could last three days at most, he had already been here for three days, meaning Drax should have been exposed long ago, the fact that the life signs remained meant Drax was mostly fine, he breathed a slight sigh of relief, closing his eyes, he began to rest.

The next morning, when the first ray of sunlight pierced through the mist and scattered across the town, Adam quietly got up and began a new day’s journey of good deeds.

Unlike the simple labor of past days, today he harbored a special plan, he wanted to build a simple library for the children of the town, to let them swim in the ocean of knowledge and broaden their horizons.

Adam first went to the old carpenter’s house to discuss timber, upon hearing it was for the children, the old carpenter generously donated high-quality timber and offered to help design the blueprints.

After discussion, they decided to start construction on an empty plot on the eastern side of the town, it was close to a small stream with a tranquil environment, perfect for children to read and study.

Following that, Adam visited door to door, asking villagers to donate books or fund the construction, the villagers responded actively, some donated treasured ancient texts, while others brought out silver taels to contribute.

The entire small town was immersed in warm harmony, however, just as construction was in full swing, a sudden accident shattered this tranquility.

In the afternoon, several mischievous children were playing by the river, one little boy slipped into the turbulent water, his cries for help instantly tore through the sky.

Adam rushed over, the little boy was struggling desperately, the situation critical, without hesitation, he jumped in and swam forcefully toward the child.

But the raging currents, coupled with the boy’s flailing, made the rescue incredibly difficult, in this moment of life and death, a power he usually suppressed with all his might suddenly surged within his body, Evil power.

Seeing the boy drifting further away and about to sink, Adam could not care about anything else, at the juncture of life and death, he involuntarily released it.

Bolstered by this power, Adam’s speed and strength instantly multiplied, he quickly reached the little boy, grabbed him, and swam forcefully toward the shore.
