"Wait, I sense it, he escaped to the other side," said an Evil God with a humanoid body covered in tentacles, looking like an octopus, its blood-red eyes flashing.

"That damned bastard, how dare he play us for fools," the featureless black figure smashed the array under the fading light with a single palm strike.

"Chase him, I refuse to believe he set up that many formations."

All the Evil Gods rushed toward the other side of the Realm.

Adam circled the area once, he found that spatial node very easily, however, he could not shake a feeling of unease, all of this seemed too easy.

The cunning Evil Gods could not possibly have zero defenses, did they all really go to hunt down the decoy? He swept his gaze around, within the boundless abyss of the universe, the stars were dim, as if even light feared this area.

Adam drew the Yellow Emperor’s Sword and looked around vigilantly, something was coming.

"Not bad perception, and commendable courage, but you are still going to die here today," an immature, childlike voice echoed in the void.

A chilling cold swept across Adam’s skin, and he violently swung his sword backward.

Clang! It felt as if the blade had struck extremely hard metal.

Adam turned, pupils violently contracting, he saw a baby with deathly pale skin and pitch-black pupils, the Yellow Emperor’s Sword rested right against its neck, yet had not cut in the slightest.

What kind of bizarre creature is this? Adam retreated abruptly.

"I am the Father of the Evil Gods, and also the First-Generation Evil God, we do not have names, but according to your human customs, you can call me Devourer of Desires."

"I quite like this meaning, because I was born from devouring the desires of you humans."

Adam’s brows furrowed tightly, he knew this entity, the Devourer of Desires was the most evil existence in this universe, although its body was small, it contained power sufficient to destroy stars, its pale skin was like the frost of death, and its black pupils flickered with profound evil light, seemingly capable of seeing through to the deepest fears and desires in human hearts, its very existence was the greatest challenge to universal order.

"Adam, you have already worked hard enough to make it here, now, be a good boy and let me devour you," the Devourer of Desires’ voice was childlike and cold, yet carried unquestionable majesty, with a wave of its small hand, cosmic space began to twist and deform, as if time and space themselves trembled under its will.

Adam’s expression was solemn, he knew what he was facing, but he did not back down, the Yellow Emperor’s Sword radiated dazzling light, the light of humanity eternally fighting against the Evil Gods.

"I don’t care if you’re called the Devourer of Desires or a dumb bird, your evil ends here," Adam’s voice was firm as he prepared for this unprecedented battle.

The Devourer of Desires did not attack immediately, instead, it stared deeply at Adam with those black eyes, suddenly, countless terrifying illusions flooded his mind, the deaths of family and friends, the destruction of the universe, endless darkness and despair, they surged like a tidal wave, attempting to destroy his will.

"Hmph, a mere human dares challenge me?" It sneered, voice echoing in Adam’s mind like a demonic tune, but Adam was not bewildered, he gritted his teeth and resisted with all his strength.

Right then, the Devourer of Desires launched its true attack, its body expanded into a massive black sphere covered in bizarre runes, exuding heart-palpitating evil aura, the sphere violently burst open, and countless pitch-black tentacles and spikes rained down on Adam like a torrential storm.

These tentacles could pierce through the limits of space and time, leaving Adam nowhere to dodge, he could only rely on the Yellow Emperor’s Sword to defend himself.

Sword light and tentacles clashed fiercely, erupting with blinding light and deafening booms, but the Devourer of Desires’ power went beyond this, it could manipulate fear and desire within a person’s heart, transforming negative emotions into physical attacks, countless monsters formed from fear appeared around Adam, lunging with bared fangs.

That was the physical manifestation of his dread, his heart chilled, though these monsters were not real, they could deal a fatal blow to his psyche, he closed his eyes, concentrating all his strength to resist the intrusion.

Deep within his divine soul, an Azure Lotus, elegant as a noble lady, gently swayed its leaves.

Faint pale-azure ripples surged outward, the Yellow Emperor’s Sword erupted with even more dazzling light, wherever sword light and ripples passed, the monsters dissipated into nothingness.

"Hm? The Chaotic Azure Lotus?" The Devourer of Desires’ small face showed confusion.

"How can you possess the power of the Chaotic Azure Lotus?"

"That is none of your business," as Adam raised his sword, the opponent’s mental attacks would no longer be effective.

However, the Devourer of Desires suddenly opened its baby-like mouth, and a powerful suction surged out, ghostly shadows and black winds formed a vortex, as if intending to swallow Adam’s soul whole.

Adam was terrified internally and used all his strength to break free, "Perfect, if I devour you along with the Chaotic Azure Lotus, my strength will be even more unrivaled."

The Devourer of Desires’ face was filled with greed.

"Sword breaks all laws, Grass-Character Sword Technique, Spring Breeze of Triumph," Adam’s voice echoed through the universe, just as he was about to condense the power of the Chaotic Azure Lotus into this sword strike...
