The Spiral Theme Park covered a vast area, with a gloomy sky above that showed no sign of its top.

The tendril monster carried Lin Ye through various attractions, and Lin Ye didn't try any of the amusement rides. His physical condition was average right now, and a moment of carelessness could easily get him killed on one of those rides.

After all, nobody here performed regular safety inspections.

"Ahead is the Spiral Creature Exhibition Hall. The cheapest spiral creature only costs one trade point."

The tendril monster naturally wouldn't pass up the chance to earn trade points.

"Even if I buy one, I can't take it with me. Do you have a creature delivery service?"

Lin Ye was actually quite interested in these spiral creatures.

The tendril monster brought Lin Ye into the Spiral Creature Exhibition Hall, where many visitors were present. Some of them were holding small spiral creatures like pets.

Those spiral creatures looked extremely docile, with spiral structures growing on their bodies.

"There's a close-contact facility over there. Would you like to experience it?"

The tendril monster continued pitching its merchandise.

"Sure."

Lin Ye wondered what that colored space had become by now, but he planned to go back later.

The tendril monster led Lin Ye into an area for raising spiral creatures, where various creatures with different structures curiously watched them from all around.

A small spiral creature hopped onto the tendril monster, its body covered in red curly fur, looking like a chaotic ball of yarn.

Lin Ye pushed his fingers into the fur and felt the creature's soft, warm body underneath.

"This one. Have the system deliver it to my bedroom."

Lin Ye handed the ball of yarn to the small tendril monster beside him.

"Don't you want to look at others? This is the cheapest spiral creature, only one trade point."

The tendril monster hadn't expected Lin Ye to choose this kind of spiral creature.

"It's fine. Complex things are nice, but I occasionally enjoy simple things too."

Lin Ye looked at some of the other display cases nearby before riding the tendril monster out of the theme park.

It took half an hour for the tendril monster to bring Lin Ye to Spiral City. The first three-quarters of the journey took less than ten minutes, but the section approaching Spiral City was trickier.

Spiral City was a massive mechanical construct built in midair, rotating endlessly.

The city was filled with intricate mechanical structures everywhere. The roads were like roller coaster tracks, constantly winding around the buildings without a moment's pause.

"...So how exactly do I get up there?"

Lin Ye looked down at the tendril monster. The closest point of Spiral City to the ground was over a kilometer high, and he couldn't exactly fly up.

"That's why this place is called a Spiral Wonder. Some say the Spiral Maze was once a place where deities lived, and only deities could leave through the true exit."

The tendril monster looked at Lin Ye with innocent eyes.

"What about the other two Spiral Wonders? Are they also places you can't even get up to?"

Lin Ye wasn't here for sightseeing. He genuinely planned to leave through the true exit.

"At least you can come here for sightseeing. The other two Spiral Wonders are dangerous just to approach. At most, I can take you to their outskirts."

The tendril monster gazed at Spiral City in the sky. If not for earning trade points, it wouldn't even want to come near this place.

"Hey, isn't that a rope over there?"

Lin Ye pointed into the distance.

He saw what looked like a rope hanging down from above.

"It really is a rope. Could someone have gone up?"

The tendril monster let out a surprised voice.

"Can you take me over there? I want to go up and take a look."

If not for this rope, Lin Ye might have just found any exit and left the maze. But now that there was a way up, since he was already here, he had to go up and see for himself.

"Are you sure you want to go up? I have no idea what's up there."

The tendril monster circled around nearby a few times before bringing Lin Ye to the rope.

"It's fine. After I go up, wait here for me for five minutes. If I haven't climbed back down after five minutes, you can leave."

Lin Ye paid through his consciousness, transferring the previous trade points to the tendril monster.

"Forget it, I'll take you a bit further. But I'm definitely not going inside."

The tendril monster secured Lin Ye, then grabbed the rope with its tendrils and began rapidly climbing upward.

In just a few minutes, the tendril monster reached the end of the rope, which was secured to a platform.

"You'll have to go on your own from here. I don't dare climb any higher."

The tendril monster used its tendrils to set Lin Ye down on the platform.

"Thanks. I'll find you again next time."

Lin Ye stood on the platform, watching the tendril monster slide swiftly back toward the ground.

'Hope I can find the exit, or I'll have to climb back down.'

Lin Ye looked around. Apart from the fact that this city block was constantly shifting shape, the area nearby looked like a fairly normal neighborhood.

The platform was slowly moving beneath his feet. It seemed nothing here stayed completely still.

'Doesn't this place need a foundation?'

Lin Ye continuously scanned the surrounding terrain and structures. Without mental energy now, he could only gather information through his vision.

'Hm? Is that a... human?'

Lin Ye focused his gaze on a restaurant not far away. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, he spotted a figure in a gray-white coat.

The person was sitting on a chair beside a dining table, savoring some kind of food.

"Hey there, buddy, did our rope work well for you?"

A hard object pressed against Lin Ye's back. Judging by the voice, the speaker was a young woman.

"Worked great. Without that rope, I wouldn't have been able to get up here."

Lin Ye didn't make any rash moves. He hadn't noticed anyone approaching at all just now.

"What are you doing?"

The woman in the gray-white coat walked out of the restaurant. She had long orange hair and wore something resembling a school uniform underneath.

"Someone came close, so of course I had to come check. What if they were a bad person?"

The other person moved the object away from Lin Ye's back and walked around to face him with light, brisk steps.
