Chapter 275: Chapter 226: Trade

Ye Yun nodded in approval. "Very good. Zhou Mei, Leo, your work is crucial. We need to ensure this trade conference proceeds smoothly and brings us the greatest possible benefits."

"We plan to hold the conference in one week," Zhou Mei continued. "We’re already preparing the relevant presentation materials and draft trade agreements."

Leo added, "We’ll also be showcasing some of our latest technological achievements, like our energy converters and medical equipment. I’m confident these will attract a great deal of interest."

As the date of the conference drew near, Zhou Mei and Leo became incredibly busy. They organized a dedicated team to prepare the presentation materials and collaborated with the research and development team to ensure all the technological products could be perfectly demonstrated at the event.

"Our energy management system is one of the shelter’s greatest strengths," Zhou Mei told her team. "We need to prepare a detailed introductory brochure so visitors can understand its operating principles and advantages at a glance."

Meanwhile, Leo was guiding the team preparing the medical equipment demonstration. "Our latest medical devices have shown remarkable results in treating radiation sickness and traumatic injuries. We need to prepare some live demonstrations to show the visitors how effective our equipment is."

During the preparations, Zhou Mei and Leo also placed special emphasis on reception services for the conference. They arranged for a professional reception team to ensure every visitor would receive a warm welcome and that their questions and needs would be addressed promptly.

"We need to make our visitors feel our sincerity and professionalism," Zhou Mei said at a meeting with the reception team. "This isn’t just a trade negotiation; it’s also an opportunity to showcase our shelter’s culture and spirit."

Leo also stressed the importance of details. "From the venue’s layout to the catering arrangements, every single detail must reflect our professionalism and thoughtfulness."

Finally, the day of the trade conference arrived. The shelter’s central plaza had been converted into a temporary exhibition and negotiation area. Zhou Mei and Leo led their teams, welcoming representatives from various other shelters and settlements.

"Welcome to our shelter," Zhou Mei said with a smile to each arriving representative. "We are very pleased to have this opportunity for exchange and cooperation with you."

Leo, for his part, gave the representatives a detailed introduction to the shelter’s technological achievements. "Please take a look at our energy management system. It can significantly improve energy efficiency and reduce consumption."

The representatives showed great interest in the shelter’s exhibits. They stopped at each booth, engaging in deep discussions with the shelter’s staff.

"Your medical equipment is truly impressive," said a representative from Oasis Shelter. "We desperately need devices like these to improve the quality of our medical services."

"We’re also very interested in your energy management system," a representative from the Steel Fortress stated. "We’d like to understand its operating principles and installation requirements in detail."

Over the next few days, Zhou Mei and Leo held detailed negotiations with the various representatives. They discussed all sorts of potential trade proposals, from resource exchanges to technological cooperation, and every discussion was filled with the possibility of partnership.

"We believe that through this conference, we’ve not only been able to establish new trade relations but also build deeper cooperative relationships with other shelters," Zhou Mei said during the conference’s closing meeting.

Leo also expressed his satisfaction with the conference’s results. "The technological achievements and resources we showcased received high praise from the representatives. I’m confident this will bring us even more opportunities for collaboration."

With the successful conclusion of the conference, the residents of the shelter offered high praise for Zhou Mei and Leo’s work. They knew that the event’s success not only brought new resources and cooperative opportunities to the shelter but also paved a broader path for their future.

Ye Yun was extremely pleased with the results of Zhou Mei and Leo’s work. He knew these new trade relationships and cooperative opportunities would provide powerful support for the shelter’s long-term development.

"You’ve all done outstanding work," Ye Yun said to everyone at the celebration party. "It is your courage and wisdom that have made our home even stronger."

Bena stood at the front of the conference room, a detailed geological map of the wasteland spread out on the table before him. His sharp gaze swept over the team members seated around the table; each one had been carefully selected—engineers and researchers with diverse skills and experience.

"Our energy systems need to be diversified," Bena’s voice was firm and powerful. "We cannot rely on a single energy source, especially in this Wasteland World where resources are increasingly scarce."

"You’re right, Captain," Engineer Li nodded in agreement. "We need to explore new energy solutions to ensure the shelter’s energy security."

Bena pointed to some markings on the geological map. "According to our geological survey data, these areas possess abundant geothermal resources. We can harness these natural resources to establish a stable geothermal energy system."

"Geothermal energy?" a young engineer asked curiously. "What kind of energy is that? How do we use it?"

Bena explained patiently, "Geothermal energy is thermal energy from the Earth’s interior. We can build geothermal wells to extract underground hot water or steam, then convert it into electricity using special equipment."
