Ye Yun examined the new missions, knowing that each one was crucial for the shelter’s development. He immediately summoned Lin Hao, Zhou Mei, Leo, and Bena to discuss how to assign the tasks.
"Lin Hao, you and the research team will be in charge of the tech upgrade work for New Mission Eight. I’m confident you can rapidly advance our technological strength," Ye Yun said to Lin Hao.
Lin Hao nodded, his eyes shining with a passion for research and a thirst for innovation. "I’ll lead the team and give it my all to complete the technology upgrades."
Ye Yun turned to Zhou Mei and Leo. "The trade expansion in New Mission Nine is vital for the shelter’s long-term development. You two are responsible for contacting new external factions and establishing trade."
Zhou Mei and Leo acknowledged their understanding and promised, "We will plan meticulously to ensure the stable establishment of trade relations, bringing new resources and information to the shelter."
Finally, Ye Yun looked at Bena. "New Mission Ten, Energy Diversification, will require your strategy and execution to ensure the shelter’s power supply becomes more stable."
Bena responded resolutely, "I will organize a team and formulate a detailed plan to diversify our energy structure."
Under Ye Yun’s arrangements, the three teams began their respective missions. Each team understood their responsibilities and would contribute their strength to the shelter’s future.
Lin Hao stood before a control console in the lab, his eyes glued to the complex data and charts displayed on the screen. Behind him, his team members bustled about their tasks. Some observed samples under microscopes, others recorded experimental data, and still others adjusted lab equipment. The laboratory was filled with a tense yet orderly atmosphere, with everyone focused on their assignments, collectively driving the research project forward.
"Lin Hao, we’ve completed a full analysis of the enemy’s equipment materials," the materials scientist, Dr. Zhang, reported to Lin Hao. "The strength and durability of this alloy are astonishing. If we can apply it to our defensive fortifications, it will drastically increase our safety factor."
Lin Hao nodded. "Excellent, Dr. Zhang. You lead your team and take charge of reverse-engineering this alloy. We need to master its manufacturing process as quickly as possible."
Dr. Zhang accepted his orders and left, his eyes glinting with a love for science and a hunger for a challenge. His team quickly dove into their intense work, using high-precision instruments to analyze the alloy sample’s composition, attempting to uncover its unique microstructure and manufacturing process.
Meanwhile, Energy Engineer Li was also reporting his progress to Lin Hao. "Lin Hao, we’ve also reached a preliminary understanding of that new energy conversion technology. This tech can convert radioactive material from the wasteland into clean energy. It would be a huge supplement to our energy structure."
Lin Hao encouraged him, "Engineer Li, you and your team continue researching this technology. We need to develop an energy system suitable for our shelter."
Engineer Li nodded and immediately led his team to delve deeper into the new energy conversion technology. They built a small-scale experimental apparatus in the lab, simulating the radioactive materials of the wasteland to observe their conversion efficiency under the new tech.
Under Lin Hao’s leadership, the research team split into two groups to conduct in-depth studies on the new alloy material and the energy conversion technology, respectively. They worked day and night, constantly making breakthroughs.
A few days later, Dr. Zhang’s team was the first to achieve results. They had successfully replicated the alloy’s key components and produced the first batch of samples in the lab.
"Lin Hao, come take a look at this!" Dr. Zhang excitedly showed Lin Hao a gleaming silver alloy plate. "We did it! This is the first batch of samples we’ve produced based on the analysis of the enemy’s equipment materials."
Lin Hao carefully inspected the alloy plate. He tapped it lightly with a small hammer, and the plate let out a crisp ring, demonstrating its outstanding hardness and resilience.
"Well done, Dr. Zhang!" Lin Hao praised. "This alloy will vastly improve our defensive capabilities. Next, we need to consider how to apply it to the shelter’s construction."
At the same time, Engineer Li’s team also made a critical breakthrough in their experiments. They optimized the energy conversion technology, increased its efficiency, and successfully converted radioactive material into clean energy.
"Lin Hao, we succeeded!" Engineer Li excitedly showed the experimental data to Lin Hao. "Look at this data. Our technology can not only convert radioactive material, but its conversion efficiency is far beyond our expectations."
Lin Hao congratulated Engineer Li’s team and immediately organized an interdisciplinary meeting to discuss how to apply these new technologies to the shelter’s actual construction.
At the meeting, Lin Hao proposed a bold plan. "Everyone, we have achieved critical technological breakthroughs. I now propose we immediately launch a project to apply these new technologies to the shelter’s expansion and upgrades."
The team members all expressed their support and actively discussed specific implementation plans. They decided to use the new alloy for the shelter’s new defensive fortifications to increase its resistance to external attacks. At the same time, they planned to build a new power station, using the new energy conversion technology to provide the shelter with a more stable and environmentally friendly energy source.
Over the next few weeks, the shelter’s engineers began construction based on the research team’s findings. The new defensive fortifications gradually took shape, their solid structure and smooth surface showcasing the new alloy’s superior performance. The new power station also began operating, its core conversion device transforming radioactive material from the wasteland into a continuous supply of clean energy.
With the application of these new technologies, the shelter’s security and self-sufficiency were significantly enhanced. The residents were full of praise for the research team’s achievements, and their lives became more stable and comfortable as a result.
Ye Yun expressed his high praise for Lin Hao and his team. "Lin Hao, your work has brought revolutionary changes to the shelter. The application of these new technologies will make our home stronger and better."
Lin Hao smiled in response. "Ye Yun, this is an honor for our team and our contribution to the shelter. We will continue to work hard, constantly exploring and innovating to provide more technological support for the shelter’s future development."
Thanks to the efforts of Lin Hao and the research team, the shelter’s technological level continuously improved, and the residents’ lives became more prosperous and comfortable.
Zhou Mei and Leo were busy in the shelter’s communications center. Using advanced communication equipment, they sent out trade invitations to surrounding shelters and settlements. These invitations included a list of goods the shelter could provide and a list of resources they were seeking in exchange.
"We’ve already received several positive responses," Zhou Mei said to Ye Yun. "Especially from representatives of the ’Oasis Shelter’ and the ’Iron Fortress.’ They are very interested in our high-efficiency energy management system and medical technology."
