“Don’t worry. Just think of them as the Skeletons from the Great Tomb. They won’t hurt you,” Li Ziyu explained, leading Guli Geli upstairs.

‘They’re not the same as the Skeletons in the Great Tomb!’

Guli Geli desperately wanted to say so, but she didn’t dare speak up.

The Skeleton Undead in the Great Tomb were all low-level and looked a bit dopey, so Guli Geli never found them scary. But here in the main building, the Black Knights, the Elite Heavy Hammer Skeleton Warriors, and the Gargoyles were all far stronger than the Skeleton Undead. It was only natural for her to be terrified.

Li Ziyu didn’t say anything more. Guli Geli would adapt after living in the main building for a while, just like the Cat Girl Sisters. They had been in even worse shape than Guli Geli when they first arrived. Weren’t they used to it now? They even went to play with the Undead from time to time.

He took Guli Geli to the roof, which offered an excellent, sweeping view of the entire Undead Fortress.

Leaving Guli Geli to amuse herself, Li Ziyu looked up at the sun hanging high in the sky, his brow furrowing slightly.

‘Something’s wrong. Something’s wrong with this sun!’

On his way to the main building earlier, Li Ziyu had already noticed something was off. The sun was supposed to have a suppressive effect on the Undead. Under the brilliant sunshine, their Soul Fires would be inhibited, making the Skeleton Undead appear fatigued, as if they were completely drained after a long night of battle. Even their walk would become unsteady.

But here in the Void Land, with the bright sun hanging in the sky, the Undead seemed completely unaffected. They were full of vigor, no different from how they were at night.

‘This sun in the sky now is not the same thing as the one in the Otherworld Wasteland!’

‘Even though they’re both bright and both have warmth, they are definitely not the same.’

‘This is actually good news. In the Void Land, the Undead can maintain their full combat strength at all times. It’ll save a lot of trouble, and I won’t have to be so on edge during the day.’

As for what exactly the sun in the Void Land’s sky was, Li Ziyu had no desire to investigate further. It was pointless. He wasn’t an astronomer; all that mattered was knowing this was beneficial to him.

“Forward!” Li Ziyu said softly, waving a hand forward.

The Undead Fortress shuddered, then began to move slowly, gradually picking up speed as it traveled along the edge of the forest.

Watching the scenery recede, Guli Geli was once again stunned. ‘It… It can really move?!’

‘The city beneath her feet could actually move!’

At this, Guli Geli was completely stumped. This was beyond her comprehension.

‘She had seen Tribes march out to battle, but she’d never seen one carry their entire Tribe into battle. No wonder her master wasn’t worried about attacks from Void Creatures or other Tribes. He had every advantage—what was there to be afraid of?’

‘As long as they didn’t run into a massive swarm of Void Creatures, there would be no problems at all.’

A profound sense of security washed over her.

At this moment, Guli Geli was incredibly grateful she had signed the Soul Contract. ‘It’s so wonderful to be able to live in this city.’

As the Undead Fortress moved forward, the Evil Spirit Wanderers had already been dispatched ahead to scout the path.

After traveling for more than half an hour with everything remaining normal, Li Ziyu scratched his head. ‘This isn’t right. This isn’t how it’s supposed to go. My Undead Fortress is this huge, and it’s right next to the forest. Can’t the Void Creatures in there see it? Why aren’t they coming out?!’

He had actually been hoping to run into some Void Creatures. He was still missing one material for the Soul Energy Collector and was planning on luring some Void Creatures to him so he could build one and see how it worked.

But half an hour had passed, and he hadn’t seen a thing. No tribespeople of the Void Land, no Void Creatures. It was really quite a disappointment.

“Guli Geli!”

“Yes, Master.”

“Where can I find some Void Creatures?”

“Huh?”

“I need to hunt a few Void Creatures.”

“…Well, Master, why don’t you send some people into the forest to take a look?”
