Global Lords: Starting with Female Hero Fusion
Chapter 506 - 334: Fireworks Filling the Sky (6)
Before long, a multitude of squeaking sounds could be heard from underground.
It was a racket.
Some of the squeals were especially frantic, as if they were arguing.
But in the end, the rat-men relented.
They cautiously stuck their heads out of the hole, hesitantly crawling out.
Before long, all the rat-men had surrendered.
The system sent out the battle summary.
[Congratulations, you are victorious!]

Another easy haul.
The experience gain wasn’t much, far less than from the Ogres.
Both rat-men and Ogres are Initial Tier Magical Beasts.
But even Initial Tier Magical Beasts have higher and lower rankings.
The rat-men belonged to the Low Tier among them.
They stood only about a meter tall and couldn’t use weapons, attacking only with their teeth and claws.
In a frontal assault, they were about the same as Goblins, but Goblins can use weapons.
Quite a few of our people were hit by their sneak attacks just now.
But even with the element of surprise, they only managed to scratch the Female Elves in Leather Armor, dealing minimal Damage.
So when fighting rat-men, you couldn’t expect to get much experience.
Zhao Chi saw his 529 experience points and almost laughed out loud.
An Ordinary Lord encountering rat-men might have a bit of trouble.
After all, it was pest extermination; it took some time.
But it was hard for rat-men to pose much of a threat to a Lord.
This time, being ambushed by the rat-men, the Armor’s Durability was slightly reduced.
The Elves also used up some Arrows, but far fewer than they did against the Ogres yesterday.
There were no other losses.
"Zhao Chi, these rat-men and corpses are useless to me, so I don’t want them. You can just take them."
Su Qin was being deferential again.
Zhao Chi smiled. "When you said that yesterday, I thought you were serious. But the more I thought about it, the more it felt wrong. I realized you were deliberately giving them to me. You don’t have to do that."
Su Qin denied it. "No, you’re overthinking it."
Zhao Chi said, "The prerequisite for good, long-term cooperation is to set the rules in advance. Even blood brothers settle accounts clearly. There’s already a default rule for distributing spoils that everyone agrees on, so we should stick to it."
Su Qin was a little unhappy.
"Zhao Chi, why are you being like this? Have you forgotten who I am?"
"Huh? Aren’t you Su Qin?"
Su Qin rolled her eyes. "Don’t play dumb! In your family’s genealogy, where is my name written?"
"Under... my name."
"Exactly! Am I your brother? Settle accounts clearly, my foot! I’m your woman. We’re a family. There’s only one account, no need to calculate! Why does it feel like you’re always treating me like an outsider?"
"I’m not..."
"You’re not? Then with our relationship, why do you still insist on following distribution rules? All the spoils are for you; I don’t want a single thing. You’ve given me so many good things, any one of which is worth far more than all of this. Didn’t I accept all of those?"
Zhao Chi said, "I understand. Then let’s not follow the old distribution rules. Let’s follow my rules!"
Su Qin frowned. "Your rules?"
"That’s right. I’ll do the dividing. What I say goes. Your territory also needs to develop. I can’t possibly take everything. You have to listen to me, understand?"
Zhao Chi became assertive, which instead left Su Qin a bit stunned.
She nodded lightly. "Oh... okay, I’ll listen to you."
"The rat-man corpses are yours. The meat is too lean, I don’t need it. If I took it, I’d just sell it to Zhao Cang and have to pay tax; it’s not worth selling. You’re short on food, so you can feed it to your Beastmen. I have no use for the rat-man pelts either, so you can stockpile them."
Zhao Chi’s tone was unquestionable.
"...Oh." Su Qin nodded obediently.
The rat-men weren’t large.
They were about 1 meter in Height, with a Body Weight of only around 20 kilograms.
Those 261 corpses only amounted to 5.2 tons and would yield just 3.6 tons of meat. That was less meat than the six Ogres from yesterday.
Furthermore, the rat-man pelts were very thin and had no Special Effects.
Zhao Chi really had no use for them.
It was better for Su Qin to use them to make Leather Armor. Her Elves all wore Leather Armor, so she would need it.
Zhao Chi continued, "These rat-men are half-man, half-rat, after all. I don’t want the male ones, so they’re yours. I’ll take all the female ones. That’s how we’ll divide them."
Su Qin nodded. "In that case... I’ll keep them."
Zhao Chi smiled. "So from now on, we’ll divide things according to my rules. You don’t have any objections, do you?"
Su Qin said softly, "Of course not. I’ll listen to you. I just felt like you were being too distant with me earlier, that’s why I said that."
Zhao Chi said, "It’s mainly that things between us have progressed too quickly. I haven’t fully adjusted yet. Give me some time."
Su Qin whispered, "Okay, I’ll give you time. Make some time to come to my place tonight. Let me help you get more used to me, so you can adapt sooner."
After speaking, she glanced over at Gu Qing and the others.
Only to find Gu Qing and her group all looking their way with various expressions, though thankfully without any hostility.
Su Qin immediately blushed, her heart racing. She didn’t dare look at them again and turned to stare at Zhao Chi’s chest instead.
Zhao Chi asked, "Tonight? Isn’t your wound healed yet?"
Su Qin said in a small voice, "Gu Qing’s Silk Thread just stuck to me and healed me, so... you’ll have to help me pierce it open again."
Zhao Chi was speechless. "So that’s how it is... Well then, wait for me tonight."
"Okay~" Su Qin smiled.
While they spoke, the Female Soldiers and Elves had already finished cleaning up the battlefield.
The Female Elves carried the rat-man corpses in pairs.
