Global Dungeon: I Can See the Status Bar
Chapter 716 - 328: Dragon God: Stop Ascending, You’re Scaring Me!
The majestic mountains towered, and countless young dragons chased and danced in the air.
The arrival of Isidro seemed to bring a different change to this place, causing many young dragons to stop playing and look up at this powerful silver dragon, both elegant and handsome.
Entering the largest of the caves, Isidro finally stopped, and Lu Wenwu dismounted from his back, surveying the primitive and rugged architecture.
This was a large cave that hadn’t been shaped much, at least a hundred meters high, still maintaining its ancient primitiveness from countless years ago.
The stone walls of the cave had been polished smooth and round by dragon scales and dragon power due to many dragons living and inhabiting there, as if they had been meticulously polished.
As they walked inside, some little heads, thinking they were well hidden, peeked out cautiously from behind the rocks, curiously observing these two sudden "strangers."
Isidro said with emotion, "I haven’t returned to Dragon Island for a full hundred years, missing out on many Ten Thousand Dragons Conferences. The number of young dragons is slightly less than when I last came; breeding issues have always troubled us."
"Is it okay not to attend the mating conference...?" Lu Wenwu asked doubtfully, "I see that in human society, elders urge those who haven’t married and had children for a long time. The elders of the Dragon Race should be even more concerned about this, right?"
"They are." Isidro shook his head, his face full of sadness, "It’s just that somehow, I’m not very popular with the female dragons. Over time, my father stopped urging me to return for the Ten Thousand Dragons Conference."
Lu Wenwu: "..."
I think it must be difficult for you to be favored by female dragons...
The old father Silver Dragon might indeed feel powerless as if his son came out, and he is unable to do anything.
It seems Goodell must be truly formidable, still hale and hearty even now.
Otherwise, an ordinary knight riding off with the son of the Silver Dragon Legion Commander as his steed for hundreds of years would have had the whole family reduced to dust by now.
"Let’s not talk about these distressing matters, first follow me to worship the Dragon God."
Isidro quickly shed that state and once again became spirited.
"You’ve always wanted to know about the gods when we were at school, haven’t you? Now is the chance."
"We are currently at the Ancestral Dragon Nest, which was the living area the Dragon God created for many dragons to reproduce and live."
"In the depths of the Ancestral Dragon Nest, there’s a statue of the Dragon God. The first thing every giant dragon returning to Dragon Island must do is come here to worship the Dragon God, showing respect for their ancestors."
"When you sincerely pray to the Dragon God, it is the moment when the mysteries in your heart are resolved."
As they talked, they walked, and soon arrived at a meticulously crafted cave entrance.
There was no guard here, only a brightly lit path extending inward.
At the end of the path was a dim, colorful halo, making it hard to see clearly.
On both sides of the path stood statues of giant dragons, slightly smaller than their original size and in different forms, from all races.
According to Isidro’s introduction, these were the most powerful ancient dragons in the history of the Dragon Race.
His dream is to one day have a statue of his own left here.
As they reached the end of the path, the halo slightly dispersed, revealing the true statue of the Dragon God inside.
A sense of solemnity descended upon them, changing from the playful and lively atmosphere of the outer Ancestral Dragon Nest.
Lu Wenwu didn’t know how to describe his current state.
He stared at the stone sculpture in front of him, feeling as if it weren’t lifeless, but alive.
Moreover, when he tried to memorize the face and form of the Dragon God statue, he was amazed to find that the images memorized in his mind had strangely vanished completely!
Unforgettable?
Lu Wenwu was startled.
Isidro lowered his head, transmitting a small voice, "Don’t glance around, do as I taught you before."
Lu Wenwu snapped out of it, also lowering his head, and worshiping as Isidro had instructed before coming here.
"I, the Invincible Tyrannosaurus War God, pay my respects to the ancestor of the dragons—the Dragon God." He slightly lowered his head, crossed his arms in front of his head, and whispered.
As the words fell, a hazy will seemed to descend here.
It felt somewhat like when Lu Wenwu cast a "forbidden curse," fully enraging the fire element.
But this will was evidently more agile and clear than the fire element.
"Your bloodline... is somewhat strange..."
An old and majestic voice faintly drifted into Lu Wenwu’s ears, sounding vast and ethereal, like the Tathagata Buddha naturally carrying reverberations when speaking.
"Dragon God?"
Lu Wenwu was stunned, restrained his delight, and tried to ask internally.
The voice did not answer, only increasing in puzzlement: "You seem... not my child?"
"But I am still part of the Dragon Race, am I not?" Lu Wenwu answered internally.
"Yes... without a doubt... you indeed belong to the Dragon Race... and are one of the most powerful... a bloodline I have never seen before..."
This time the Dragon God did respond to him but still immersed in a somewhat chaotic state, like a person half-asleep, and one could immediately tell his current mental state was somewhat off.
"Breaking the shackles... a new ancient dragon will be born... you will ascend to divinity..."
"Whatever you do... don’t do it!!!!"
"Absolutely don’t!!!!"
