Chapter 815: Chapter 547: Lei "Moonlight Spokesperson" Luo
"Her Highness Princess... she... what is this...?"
It tried hard to organize its words, or rather, its spiritual fluctuations. But clearly, the scene before its eyes had exceeded the bounds of its comprehension from a thousand-year slumber. The royal bloodline was incomparably noble. How could it transform into this... weak, harmless pet form? And how could she be so intimately close to a human?
"This is Moonlight’s personal habit," Raylo explained without batting an eye. "She prefers it this way. It’s convenient for movement."
It wondered how this could possibly be convenient for movement. Silver Moon Blade stared at the large white cat curled up comfortably on the human’s shoulder and sank into a deeper silence. It simply couldn’t connect this soft, adorable creature with the majestic and sacred royalty in its memories.
"We are preparing to return to our territory," Raylo continued. "Follow us, Silver Moon Blade."
With that said, he ignored the existential crisis Silver Moon Blade was going through and signaled Lightning to move forward at full speed.
The lightning on Lightning’s wings flashed brilliantly, transforming into a streak of blue electricity as it sped straight toward the Giant Valley! Clinging tightly to Raylo’s other shoulder, the black cat form of Coal Ball glanced back with curiosity.
BOOM!
Behind them, a massive current of air was stirred up. After a brief moment of shock, the thousand-meter-long Silver Dragon immediately snapped out of it. It spread those sky-obscuring Dragon Wings and gave a light flap.
WHOOSH!
A terrifying hurricane materialized out of thin air! The forest below was bent over in massive swaths, as if bowing to a monarch.
Its speed was unbelievable. The colossal body glided through the air, yet it barely made a sound, like a silent ghost. It followed closely behind and to the side of Lightning, maintaining a perfect guarding distance. Meanwhile, those silver eyes stared unblinkingly... at the large white cat on Raylo’s shoulder. That gaze was filled with protectiveness, fanaticism, and a lingering trace of... confusion.
The lightning on Lightning’s dragon body flickered to its absolute peak, and its flight speed had soared to its very limit. However, it was completely useless.
Behind and to its side, that sky-blotting shadow followed like a ghost. No matter how much Lightning accelerated, the other simply kept pace leisurely. Its relaxed posture made it look like a giant taking a stroll with a toddler. This made Lightning feel crushed under a mountain of pressure. The bloodline suppression from a superior being caused every scale on its body to tighten.
Raylo, on the other hand, was very relaxed. He even had the leisure to comfort the still-dazed Moonlight in his arms while asking questions he was curious about through the Spiritual Link.
"Silver Moon Blade, when did you awaken?"
"Reporting to Lord Guardian." Silver Moon Blade respectfully replied, seemingly having accepted Raylo’s identity as the Princess’s Guardian. "About three years ago, I finally awoke from my long slumber. I have been wandering ever since, searching for my kin.
"I heard that a Silver Dragon had appeared in the Endless Forest Sea, so I came here."
"What exactly was this ’Moonfall’ catastrophe you mentioned from a thousand years ago?" Raylo asked the question he cared about most.
Silver Moon Blade fell silent for a moment, seemingly organizing its fragmented memories.
"The catastrophe... was a sudden disaster. Our home was upon the White Moon. A thousand years ago, we were suddenly invaded by outer Divine Spirits. ℯ𝐥.𝒄ℴ𝓶
"The Divine Spirits’ Palaces suddenly appeared, and the Queen led us into a hasty battle.
"The enemy’s power was beyond imagination, and we were defeated.
"In the end, the Queen was heavily injured, and the White Moon crumbled under the Divine Spirits’ assault. Finally, for the continuation of our race, the Queen sacrificed herself. She used her remaining Power to protect the largest piece of the White Moon Remains, shielding the final strength of our race as it plummeted into the Giant Dragon Realm.
"And I, as one of the Queen’s guards, was swept into a spatial turbulence while covering the retreat. I was gravely wounded and fell into the deep sea." Its voice carried a trace of profound sorrow that spanned a millennium.
Raylo’s heart skipped a beat. Moon Remains? The home of the Silver Dragon Race was actually on the moon?
"So, you’ve been waiting here all this time just for the royal bloodline to appear?"
"Yes." Silver Moon Blade’s voice became resolute. "Before Her Majesty the Queen fell, she left behind a prophecy. A new Queen would inevitably be born from the final bloodline. She will gather our kin once more, raise the fallen Moon Remains back into the sky, and rebuild the home of the Silver Dragons!"
Its tone was brimming with fanaticism.
Raylo felt his blood surge with excitement. Good heavens! Moonlight was not just a princess; she was the future Queen! And from the sound of it, there were still surviving members of the Silver Dragon Race scattered in some corner of the world? If he could gather them all together...
Raylo’s breathing grew rapid. He thought, "A Catastrophe Level Silver Dragon legion? I don’t dare to imagine it! I don’t dare to imagine it!"
While they conversed, a stretch of rolling, majestic mountains appeared on the horizon ahead. They had arrived at the Giant Valley!
As their group—especially the sky-obscuring figure of Silver Moon Blade—appeared in the airspace above the Giant Valley, a vast, ocean-like will suddenly awakened from the tallest stone tower in the center of the valley!
BUZZ!
It was the Great Elder, Gu! This Spiritual Power transformed into an invisible tidal wave, sweeping toward the uninvited guest in the sky!
Silver Moon Blade’s body suddenly stiffened. Its silver eyes instantly turned razor-sharp, and a terrifying Catastrophe Level Dragon Mighty explosively erupted from it, ready to counterattack this probing Spiritual Power! Its guardian instincts compelled it to flap its wings the moment it sensed a threat. It positioned itself in front of Lightning, entering a battle stance.
"We’re on the same side!" Raylo’s voice rang out right on time.
Almost simultaneously, the surging wave of Spiritual Power came to a sudden halt upon making contact with Raylo’s aura. It then gently swept over them, lingering particularly on Silver Moon Blade. The next second, the tsunami-like Spiritual Power receded like the tide, retracting back into the stone tower as if it had never appeared.
The tense aura radiating from Silver Moon Blade slowly relaxed in tandem. It looked at Raylo with a hint of confusion.
"This is the territory of the Hill Giant Race," Raylo explained. "That being is their Guardian, and our ally."
An ally? A trace of surprise flashed through Silver Moon Blade’s giant eyes. This human was not only Her Highness Princess’s Guardian, but he had also formed an alliance with another supreme expert at the Catastrophe Level? Its estimation of Raylo couldn’t help but rise a few notches.
The group didn’t stop, flying straight toward the Giant City-State. The towering silhouette of the Giant City-State came into clear view below. Within the city-state, the Hill Giants—each as large as a small hill—noticed the anomaly in the sky. They all paused their movements and raised their massive heads. When they clearly saw the colossal shadow blotting out half the sky, even the naturally gigantic Hill Giants couldn’t help but gasp.
Raylo paid no mind to the commotion below. He patted Lightning’s neck, signaling it to lower its altitude and fly toward the stone house that belonged to them in the Giant City-State.
Silver Moon Blade followed silently. Soon, they arrived in the airspace above the stone house. They didn’t land. If a creature with Silver Moon Blade’s massive size were to land here, an entire row of houses below would be crushed flat.
"Coal Ball," Raylo called out.
"MEOW?" The black cat, Coal Ball, clinging to his other shoulder, raised its little head.
"Open a spatial rift back to the Black Stone Territory right here in mid-air!" Raylo instructed.
"YOWL!" Coal Ball acknowledged. It leaped down nimbly from Raylo’s shoulder and hovered in mid-air. It let out a low growl, and the Power of Space converged around it. The Space Stone Wall—placed inside Raylo’s stone house below and containing the hidden Space Anchor Point—floated up into the sky.
BUZZ!
A spatial rift a few meters tall appeared in mid-air.
Raylo, "..."
Coal Ball, "..."
Coal Ball turned its head. It looked at Raylo with its round eyes, then at the "Silver Mountain Range" beside them. Finally, it lowered its head and stared at the tiny tear it had ripped open.
