Chapter 736: Chapter 510: The Truth of the World-Ending War

"I... found enough catalysts."

In her hands, she held several items she had found on the bookshelf, each steeped in a powerful aura of Magic Power.

A Legendary Mage’s insignia, a broken fragment of a Catastrophe Level Magic Staff, and... a copy of the Council Code.

She looked at Mage Morpheus.

"Morpheus, help me recreate... this world’s final battle."

Everyone’s gaze focused on her and the ancient-feeling items in her hands.

’Are we... doing another Time Travel?’

The thought of the inhuman slaughter he had witnessed before at Sky City Atos made Raylo’s heart tighten involuntarily.

He knew that what they were about to see would only be more brutal, more... despairing than the last.

Because this was the seat of the Mage Alliance Council, this world’s last bastion of resistance.

And what they were about to witness was the final, curtain-closing battle of this brilliant Magic Civilization.

Mage Nancy placed the items in front of her.

The familiar circular Array lit up once more.

Golden runes of time and silver runes of space intertwined and merged, emitting a vast and mysterious aura.

"By the witness of space and time, in the name of the Law..."

The space before them rippled, like the surface of water after a stone is tossed in.

When the ripples faded.

The scene before them had changed.

The sky was a dark crimson, as if stained with blood.

Surrounding the plaza were hundreds of Magic Towers soaring into the clouds.

The top of each Magic Tower shone with a blinding light of Magic Power. Thick columns of energy shot skyward, converging high above the city to form an immense, indestructible Magic Shield that glowed with a seven-colored halo.

Beyond the shield was an endless, oppressive darkness.

It was the Angels of Death.

Thousands upon thousands, an innumerable host of Angels of Death!

The lowest rank were Ordinary Angels with two wings.

The next rank up were the Four-winged Angels.

And at their very front were several hundred Six-winged Angels of Death, each radiating the terrifying aura of the Catastrophe Level!

They formed a legion that blotted out the sky, surrounding it completely.

An aura of slaughter and despair shrouded the entire world.

Down below in the city, upon the plaza, tens of thousands of Mages stood in grim formation, already waiting.

They raised their heads to gaze at the sky. On their faces, young and old alike, was fear and unease, but even more than that... was a grim determination to fight to the death.

"They’re here."

Mage Delin said in a low voice.

Raylo’s heart leaped into his throat.

Just then.

In the sky, the oppressive Angel Legion suddenly parted like a tide, slowly separating to either side to open a path.

Immediately after.

An incomparably brilliant and scorching golden light slowly descended from the end of that path.

That light was more dazzling than all the Stars in the sky combined.

It was as if a true Sun had descended upon this world that had long since lost its own.

Everyone subconsciously narrowed their eyes.

When they opened their eyes again, a humanoid Divine Spirit, its features obscured and its body wreathed in golden light, was hovering silently at the forefront of the Angel Legion.

It just stood there silently, yet it seemed to be the center of the entire world.

A terrifying, supreme pressure that surpassed all Catastrophe Levels and transcended all Laws erupted from its body, crashing down!

CRACK!

Below, the indestructible Magic Shield—jointly maintained by hundreds of Magic Towers and tens of thousands of Mages—instantly filled with spiderweb-like cracks under this pressure, as if it were a fragile eggshell!

"This... This is..."

’This is... Tier Seven, World Destruction Level Power!’

On the plaza, the Mages cried out in despair.

Many of the weaker Mages even coughed up blood and fainted dead away under the force of this pressure.

In the sky, the Divine Spirit wreathed in golden light slowly raised its hand.

It extended a single finger and tapped gently at the Magic Shield below, which was already on the verge of shattering.

There was no sound, no explosion.

A fine, almost invisible golden ray of light flashed from its fingertip and vanished.

The next second.

BOOM!

The massive Magic Shield that enveloped the entire city was annihilated in an instant.

Not shattered, not broken.

But... annihilated.

It was as if an invisible hand had forcibly wiped it from existence. 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

Utterly reduced to nothingness.

One strike.

Just a single strike.

Had utterly destroyed the city’s final barrier.

"Kill."

A cold voice slowly emanated from within that "Sun".

The voice reverberated through the heavens and the earth.

It also pronounced the final death sentence for this city, and for this civilization.

"ROAR!"

Behind it, the Angel Legion, tens of thousands strong, began its charge!

Hundreds of Six-winged Angels of Death led the van!

Endless Four-winged and Two-winged Death Angels followed close behind!

Like a golden flood breaking through a dam, they descended from the sky and poured into the defenseless city!

A slaughter.

Another slaughter, even more tragic and hopeless than the one at Sky City Atos.

The final image froze on that golden "Sun".
