Chapter 2134: Absolutely Not
Chapter 2134: Absolutely Not
Sylas appeared in the Golden Grove with Cassarae by his side. By this point, he was practically a demon to the Golden Race ancestors that headed this place.
Their problem wasn't his own, though. He had seen a use in the Golden Grove, so he took it for himself.
This was the reason why Sylas never really got angry when things went against him. It was only natural for the First Race to want their world back, it was only natural for the Thryskai to try and target Earth, it was only natural for Legacy to weed their way into worlds to take what wasn't theirs.
The world was an inherently cruel place.
Of course, if they could target him, then he could likewise make them suffer. Such was the tit for tat.
If the Golden Grove was capable of fighting back, they should do that.
Well… they had tried. They had just also failed.
He, however, wouldn't fail should, when, and if the situation arose. It was that simple to him.
Sylas didn't even have a chance to step off the teleportation platform when Old Brama suddenly appeared. Though, now that he looked no older than Sylas himself, it was a bit odd still calling him old. Even Megean, his granddaughter, hadn't quite learned how to interact with this new grandfather of hers just yet.
"Do you have any orders?" Old Brama asked.
"You have a method of moving the Golden Grove, don't you." Sylas said it as more of a statement than a question.
Just logically speaking, he doubted the Golden Grove—once part of such a powerful Race—had always been in this exact location. Let alone the fact this Sector was far too weak, if they had been here from the beginning whatever enemies they had would have long found and dealt with them.
Of course, Sylas was only speculating about the enemies, but he was most likely correct. A Race this powerful didn't just fall for no reason. And even if it was their own hubris that caused it, it was impossible that their rise wouldn't have come with some friction.
Old Brama blinked. "Yes. However…"
Sylas didn't follow up, waiting for Old Brama to speak.
"It requires a large amount of Aetherstones."
"How much is a large amount?"
"Probably more than an entire star system has available to it."
"To move how far?"
"Well, theoretically, anywhere within a Sector should be fine with that amount. I wouldn't trust it to move anywhere outside of that range. Though, in the past, there's good reason to believe it was once capable of moving across Heavens."
Sylas' gaze flickered. "No problem. Prepare it."
Old Brama blinked, but in the end he nodded and didn't ask Sylas any more questions.
In the past, this amount of Aetherstones would be a problem. But they had a method of taking them in quite fast now. Didn't they?
Sylas pulled Cassarae along and through the halls of the Golden Grove until they stood beneath an impossibly large golden tree.
Cassarae wrinkled her nose, not liking this place very much for some reason.
"This is where the Demon Wife is." Sylas said.
"I knew I smelled bitch in the air." Cassarae said with a pout. "Why did you marry her again?"
"I didn't. Also, reasons."
"You're talking out of two sides of your mouth. Would you like me to rip it open wider for you?"
"You know, her true body is quite powerful. You have a long way to go if you want to keep talking like that around her."
Cassarae's eyes widened. "You fucking manwhore. What do you mean 'around her'? You plan on keeping that bitch around?"
"Won't really be your choice if you're too weak, now would it?"
"How strong is this slut?"
Sylas smiled. "S-tier."
Cassarae froze for a second, then her eyes narrowed. She couldn't decide whether to be impressed that Sylas had managed to pull an S-tier or if she should be furious.
The Duchess was, indeed, an S-tier. Her body was cloned and striated from the F-tier all the way up to the S-tier, and Sylas had only interacted with the E-tier and D-tier versions so far, but there was no doubt that she was, indeed, an S-tier.
If there ever came a day where Sylas had to live up to his duty as a husband to her—something he didn't really have the intention to do all things considered—it would be quite difficult. He had a long way to go before he could even lay eyes on her true body.
That said, he could get pretty close right now. He bet he could enter up to the A-tier of this mutated Dungeon right now.
Though the Golden Race had certainly been far more powerful in the past, right now this trial zone of theirs was only at a mortal level, likely stripped of whatever higher order difficulty they had because Demi-God and above aura couldn't exist on the Mortal Plane without very special circumstances.
So, if they were going to move it to the Milky Way, and then up to the Demi-God Plane, Sylas figured that he should probably clear as many layers of it right now as he could.
SHIIIIIIIIING.
Cassarae unsheathed her sword.
By this point, many were watching the duo from a distance. Whenever Sylas appeared, something wild was bound to happen in their Golden Grove. But what they had never seen was his wife.
They didn't know that anyone could talk to Sylas like that. Most of them were too afraid to even look him in the eye at this point.
"Let's go meet my sister wife, then." She said with a beaming smile that couldn't hide the murderous intent in her at all.
Sure, Cassarae was fine even if Sylas had multiple women at this point. She might joke about it, but she didn't actually feel like she cared.
However, that was only if there was a clear, divisible hierarchy.
A second wife? Absolutely not.
