94 Blackheart Team
The spear might not have caused any damage to the buildings, but it managed to catch a lot of attention from the crowd.
“Just what kind of fool is trying to sneak inside Moon Bazaar?”
“Clearly someone who has been living under a rock. Who would still try to sneak in after that incident?”
“I know right. Let’s just wait and see how the Blackheart Team is going to slaughter that intruder.”
The crowd started sneering and laughing coldly at Jiang Ming.
Given the fact that Jiang Ming had his back turned and no one would expect the owner to sneak into his store. Hence, the crowd deemed him as another fool.
Meanwhile, Jiang Ming himself was dumbfounded to see such a high increase in terms of security.
‘When did the Moon Bazaar turn into some sort of defense fortress?’ He wondered silently.
Sometime later, a group of black-cloaked men appeared on the roof with their swords out..
“Halt, and identify yourself.” One of the black-cloaked men said in a solemn tone at Jiang Ming.
Jiang Ming twitched his brows in disbelief at the scene.
“I’m Jiang Ming, the owner of Moon Bazaar.” He responded in a deadpan voice.
“I should be asking who you people are and why are you hovering around my Moon Bazaar.”
“We are the Blackheart Team, hired specifically by Madam Yang. If you said you are the owner, then please provide evidence to back it up. Otherwise, don’t blame us for resorting to violence.”
“…”
While the situation started to get out of hand, a loud female voice echoed from inside.
“Huang Bao, can you stop the ruckus already and get rid of the intruder? Madam Yang is worried sick for her son and does not want to be disturbed.”
“Apologies, Lady Hong Ling. But the intruder identified himself as the owner, and we wanted to clarify it.” Huang Bao, the commander of the Blackheart Team responded swiftly.
“T-The owner?” Hong Ling raised an eyebrow before opening the window and glancing at the top.
“Young Master, you’re finally back.” She exclaimed happily as soon as she noticed Jiang Ming.
“Heh, I didn’t expect you had hired a team to guard the Moon Bazaar, but who would have thought that they would attack the owner.” Jiang Ming laughed sarcastically as he leaped across the building and landed inside the room that Hong Ling had opened up.
Hong Ling showed a blissful smile as she ran toward him and bowed. “It’s great that you’re back. Madam Yang has been worrying sick about your examination.”
Jiang Ming nodded his head.
“Seems like I need to pay her visit now,” he said calmly.
He then turned around and glanced at Huang Bao in confusion. “And they are?”
“He’s Huang Bao, one of the commanders of the Blackheart Team that Madam Yang had scouted when you left.” Hong Ling explained.
Meanwhile, Huang Bao quickly entered the room with one knee on the floor.
“Apologies to the Young Master, we didn’t know you were the owner and attacked you.” He apologized.
“It’s alright, Huang Bao. Part of it was my fault for trying to enter through the 2nd floor sneakily.” Jiang Ming shook his head and raised his hand.
Since Huang Bao was merely doing his duty as a guard, there was nothing to blame on him.
In fact, Jiang Ming was surprised and impressed by Huang Bao and the Blackheart Team’s detection skill for spotting him right away.
Such skills and talents are definitely valued.
“Anyway, Hong Ling, I’ll leave the commotion and the crowd to you. I’ll go meet with Yang Liqin now.” Jiang Ming said.
He was about to refer to Yang Liqin as his aunt, but managed to halt himself since the rest of the people did not know that fact. This was also a reason why Hong Ling stopped Huang Bao and said Yang Liqin was worrying sick for her ‘son’ and not nephew.
Some things are better left unknown until the right time comes across.
And Jiang Ming doesn’t know much about Huang Bao to expose such details, so he decided to leave quickly.
Hong Ling knew what he was thinking as well, so she didn’t stop him and informed him where Yang Liqin is currently staying.
“Madam Yang is in your office, going through some paperwork.” Hong Ling said right before Jiang Ming had exited the room.
Once his presence was gone, Hong Ling’s smile vanished as she held a darkened expression.
“Do you know how much consequence you would face if Madam Yang was to ever know about this incident?” Hong Ling asked in a fierce tone.
“I-I-I’m sorry Lady Hong Ling. This will not happen ever again.”
“Hmph, you’re lucky that the young master didn’t pursue further. Otherwise, you and your current team would have been killed today.”
“Yes, I understand. Thank you for the mercy, Lady Hong Ling.” Huang Bao’s forehead was filled with sweat as he kept his head lowered.
Hong Ling gave a final look at Huang Bao before waving her sleeve.
“Get out and continue to survey in the shadows. Now that the Young Master has returned safe and sound, Madam Yang will be back in command soon.”
“Yes, we will wait for further orders.” Huang Bao said nervously before turning around and leaving through the window. The rest of the members quickly followed Huang Bao’s lead as they vanished from the scene.
As for the crowd, they were already thanking heaven for not being implicated when they were dissing at Jiang Ming.
Who would still dare to question or talk about the previous scene?
Some of them, if not, most of them were coming to the Moon Bazaar in hopes to catch a glimpse of Jiang Ming and strike a connection between them. Yet, they had not almost spoiled their plan, but could possibly incur their family’s death by speaking nonsense.
Of course, Jiang Ming never really cared about these people and was more concerned about how to pacify Yang Liqin.
‘Ugh, with aunt’s capability… she must have heard of the incident in the Guilong Forest already.’ Jiang Ming scratched his head as he walked around in a circle outside of his office.
