93 Large Traffic
The clunking sound of the high heel from Yuan Chunhua had finally stopped when she stopped walking.
However, Jiang Ming wasn’t a bit pleased by it because she was now standing directly in front of him.
Even if he wanted to escape, it was already way too late.
‘Those damn instructors. I swear I will make them pay for this.’ Jiang Ming cursed silently.
How could they possibly be so selfish and not give him a heads-up?
While Jiang Ming was cursing at the instructors that had fled for their lives, Yuan Chunhua kept her blissful smile as she patted his shoulder.
“Jiang Ming, would you want to repay the debt that you owed?” She asked nicely.
Jiang Ming twitched his mouth.
Was that even a question to begin with?
She knew something that could ruin his plan and he was sure that if he refused her request, then she would expose the Batron’s incident to others.
“What do you want?” Jiang Ming asked in a deadpan tone. Being forced to comply is never a good feeling, but what can he do?.
Yuan Chunhua hadn’t offended him nor done anything harmful to him. If it were still Cultivation Omega, then yes, he would have slain her for being a nuisance.
Alas, he wasn’t playing Cultivation Omega, and Jiang Ming still needed to live within the Northern Continent for the time being.
“I have a fantastic mission on hand, and you can be my assistance. After all, you have shown your deduction skill back in that hidden cave.” Yuan Chunhua said and spent the next few minutes, relaying the information she obtained from Lin Jinyun.
Sometime later, Jiang Ming sighed aloud when there was more detective crap to do.
“Why me? Like why specifically me? I’m just a goddamn student, trying to pass an examination.”
“Like a goddamn student could possibly defeat a Spiritual Grandmaster Realm solo.”
“…”
“Cat got your tongue?” Yuan Chunhua teased when she saw Jiang Ming keeping his mouth shut.
Jiang Ming clicked his tongue in annoyance.
He stood up and tidied his clothes. “Hmph, I’m heading back to the Central District first.”
“Go ahead, but make sure to meet me by my office tomorrow morning.”
After that, Jiang Ming left the academy and proceeded to head toward the Central District.
By the time he reached the gates of the Central District, Jiang Ming was surprised to not see Chen Zhiqiang anywhere.
“Hmm, did Chen Zhiqiang not have guard duty today?” Jiang Ming asked one of the guards.
The guard recognized Jiang Ming and bowed respectfully.
Who doesn’t know how influential Jiang Ming is? Only a fool would dare to show an ounce of disrespectfulness to him.
“Replying to Jiang Ming, Chen Zhiqiang has been promoted already and no longer has to stand here to guard the Central District.” The guard said calmly.
Jiang Ming nodded his head.
“I see… seems like Chen Zhiqiang is doing well for himself.” He muttered.
A few seconds later, Jiang Ming retrieved a spirit stone and gave it to the guard who answered his question.
“I-I can’t possibly take it, Jiang Ming,” The guard tried to refuse the spirit stone, but his eyes were practically sparkling at it.
That was because spirit stones were still rare in the Northern Continent, and not even a guard from the Royal Family would dare to spend it carelessly.
There are only a few people within the Northern Continent that could afford to waste spirit stones like it’s nothing.
“Just take it, consider it my thanks for the information,” Jiang Ming smiled and stuffed the spirit stone into the guard’s hand.
He might be calculative and stingy with money, but there are times when connections are more important than wealth.
By giving a small favor of a spirit stone in exchange for a person’s goodwill, that was a bargain.
With Jiang Ming practically stuffing it into his pocket, the guard flashed a smile and thanked him sincerely.
“Thank you, Jiang Ming.”
“You’ve worked hard and earned it. Thank yourself instead.”
Jiang Ming waved his hand and proceeded inside the Central District.
Although it hasn’t been long since he had left the Central District, Jiang Ming noticed a lot of change in the area.
It was still the same bustling streets, but the size and amount of people seemed to rise even further.
‘Just what is with this traffic?’ Jiang Ming wondered silently.
Unwilling to be squashed in between the people, Jiang Ming decided to propel himself in the air and hopped onto the roof of the stores.
Once he got high ground, Jiang Ming finally saw the crowd were all lining up in some sort of a single file.
His vision continued to trail off to try to find the source, and when he finally realized the source, he couldn’t help but smile like a fool.
After all, they were all lining up to try and enter his store, Moon Bazaar.
“Aunt is really a businesswoman… just a few days and she managed to increase the popularity of the Moon Bazaar to this much.” Jiang Ming was awestruck by her ability and knew he didn’t choose the wrong person for the job.
Who said a woman cannot handle a business?
Women are even scarier and more clever than men in a lot of aspects. It was just that most men have their stuck-up pride that refused to acknowledge these kinds of facts.
Luckily, Jiang Ming was not the stuck-up man that believed such nonsense.
Women or men, as long as you show your talents and skills, then you will be valued highly by him.
After glancing for another moment, Jiang Ming decided to go through the 2nd floor of the Moon Bazaar to enter.
He did not wish to be suffocated when trying to enter his own store.
Alas, before he could even sneak through, Jiang Ming sensed danger from behind.
Without hesitation, he quickly activated his movement technique and avoided a spear that was flying at him at godspeed.
BOOM!
The spear collided with a nearby wall, but thanks to a formation, the wall remained intact.
Jiang Ming twitched his mouth at this scene. ‘There goes my plan of being sneaky.’
