32 Emperor Zhao Tong
“W-What do you mean, Jiang Ming?” Hong Ling asked nervously as she felt his intense gaze.
She could feel the warmth coming from his hand that seemed to calm her panicking emotion.
However, it soon made her embarrassed when she started thinking about their intimate contact and they were in the imperial house.
“J-Jiang Ming?” Hong Ling asked again as she heard no response from Jiang Ming.
Jiang Ming continued to ignore Hong Ling, scaring her deeply as she wondered if she made a mistake.
“I-I’m sorry Jiang Ming… please stop ignoring me,” Hong Ling pleaded as she held Jiang Ming’s hand tightly.
She was afraid of being alone again, left to fend for herself and fear for her life at every moment.
“Why are you apologizing when you did nothing wrong?” Jiang Ming shrugged his shoulders as he tried to retract his hand from Hong Ling.
This caused Hong Ling to panic even more as she held him tighter, refusing to let him go. She held a teary expression as she wanted Jiang Ming to forgive her..
Jiang Ming sighed as he could feel she was about to cry as he patted her head softly.
“How many times do I have to remind you, Hong Ling?” Jiang Ming asked as he continued, “You have nothing to be nervous about when I’m here. I don’t wish to see my followers afraid of every single thing.”
Jiang Ming wished to make Hong Ling learn that there is nothing to be afraid of. After all, he had seen even more strong cultivators and heck, he even confronted a true dragon once.
Thus, he wasn’t even afraid of meeting the emperor. He was keeping silent the entire time because he was busy thinking how much he could extort the emperor.
“I-I understand… I will stay calm so please don’t scare me anymore,” Hong Ling suddenly said, breaking Jiang Ming’s thought process.
Jiang Ming gave a slight smile as he tapped her hand, “That’s the correct mindset. I know you will have trouble adapting to this new change but I wish to see you try at least.”
“Un, I will not fail you.” Hong Ling gave a determined expression as she sat with her back straight.
Previously, she was shrinking in fear and didn’t know what to do as she feared that her action might offend the emperor.
Jiang Ming chuckled at her action as he crossed his legs to wait.
Sometime later, the servant came back with a teapot and two teacups as he placed them down on the table.
“Here is your High Mountain Oolong Tea, honorable guest,” The servant said as he poured the tea into the teacup before leaving them alone.
Hong Ling grabbed one of the teacups as she blew on it slowly and handed it over to Jiang Ming.
“Here, Jiang Ming,” Hong Ling said.
“I prefer it if you use your mouth to feed me instead,” Jiang Ming commented, causing Hong Ling to blush slightly from his tease.
“I-If that’s what you want-” Hong Ling pondered for a moment as she drank a bit of the tea in her mouth before leaning closer to Jiang Ming.
Jiang Ming was dumbstruck when he saw Hong Ling was really trying to feed him the tea through her mouth.
‘T-This girl… isn’t she being too serious?’ Jiang Ming exclaimed inwardly when he saw Hong Ling opened her mouth slightly and some of the tea was slowly dripping down.
Jiang Ming laughed inwardly as he wasn’t going to be some coward and refused such an invitation.
Since Hong Ling dared to feed him, he dared to drink it.
Thus, Jiang Ming leaned closer and kissed Hong Ling softly while sucking the tea off her mouth.
“Ahn~”
Hong Ling moaned softly upon feeling Jiang Ming’s slithering tongue in her mouth but instead of shutting him down, she allowed him to roam around her and pushed the tea toward him.
Her hands soon clenched onto his clothes as she tried to balance herself when she noticed Jiang Ming wasn’t done with his movement.
He was slowly sucking on her saliva when he finished drinking the tea from her lips.
‘Hoh, it’s about time they showed up,’ Jiang Ming said inwardly as he pulled away from Hong Ling’s lip slowly.
A thin strip of saliva could be seen forming between them as Hong Ling quickly lowered her head with a flushed expression.
Meanwhile, Jiang Ming licked his lips and smiled at Hong Ling. “I can’t tell if the sweetness comes from the tea or the saliva of someone.”
Hong Ling’s face turned into a tomato color when she heard his teasing tone but was soon relieved when she heard two footsteps.
“Sorry, did I make you wait long?” Bing Tong entered the guest room as she apologized to Jiang Ming, shocking the person behind her as he wondered if he heard wrong.
“M-My daughter is apologizing for making someone wait?” The person mumbled softly but with Bing Tong’s sharp hearing, she was able to hear his words.
“Father, do you want a beating?” Bing Tong glared at her father who was none other than the emperor of the Northern Continent, Emperor Zhao Tong.
Emperor Zhao Tong smiled bitterly as he shook his head in response. “Your father is just joking, don’t get mad, my lovely daughter.”
Bing Tong nodded her head but she was still a bit angry at Zhao Tong for making her look bad in front of Jiang Ming.
His words made it seem like Bing Tong was a spoiled brat that would never show respect to others.
Bing Tong took a seat across from Jiang Ming as Zhao Tong entered the guest room shortly after.
Hong Ling, who saw the emperor for the first time, quickly stood up and bowed as she paid her respect.
Zhao Tong had the look of a middle-aged man, but he was exuding an emperor’s might and holy aura without trying. It was something that he had naturally inherited when he took on the throne of the Northern Continent.
“H-Hong Ling paid her respect to Emperor Zhao Tong,” Hong Ling said nervously, completely frightened by the holy aura he had.
However, the atmosphere soon became quiet when everyone noticed Jiang Ming still had his legs crossed and had zero intention of getting up.
