31 Emperor’s Rage

BANG!

The emperor slammed at the desk he was sitting in as he glared at the servant who delivered this news.

“Good, good, the Lei Clan is really good.” The emperor’s forehead veins seemed to pop out as he said in a menacing tone.

He then shouted at the servant, “Do I need to tell you what needs to be done to the Lei Clan now?”

The servant shook his head.

“I know what to do to the Lei Clan for their actions, your majesty.” The servant bowed slightly.

“Hmph, make sure the Lei Clan feel my wrath for daring to attack my precious daughter.” The emperor said as he exuded a dominant aura, causing the desk to split in half.

His anger was rising whenever he imagined how scared his daughter must have been to be attacked in the Central District and in public.

Not even he would lay a hand on his daughter as he would give her the best and listen to whatever she wants. He knew he was spoiling her but so what?.

He was the emperor of the Northern Continent, above everyone except for his father and daughter.

Attacking his precious daughter was no different than declaring war on him and the emperor would gladly show them hell.

While the pressure in the room became deadly, the servant gnashed his teeth as he knelt down, “E-Emperor Zhao Tong… Princess Bing Tong would soon arrive back at the imperial house and she would not be happy if she heard about your temper rising again.”

Emperor Zhao Tong suddenly flinched when he heard his daughter would be arriving soon.

His aura quickly diminished and his anger was replaced with a calm and pleasing expression.

“Do I look calm to you now?” Emperor Zhao Tong then said as he asked the servant for confirmation.

The servant nodded his head.

“Emperor Zhao Tong is calm and collected.” The servant said and even went as far as praising him for being rational.

“That’s right, I was never angry at all and I was simply relieved that my daughter is safe and sound.” Emperor Zhao Tong said happily.

Afterward, he stepped outside the room to wait for her to return and before disappearing, Emperor Zhao Tong made sure the servant remembered his previous order.

“I don’t want to see the Lei Clan in the Northern Continent anymore.”

Those were his final words for the servant who simply bowed and nodded.

Meanwhile, Bing Tong who was riding a carriage with Jiang Ming and Hong Ling suddenly clapped her hand.

“We have arrived at our imperial house.” Bing Tong said and the carriage suddenly stopped in place.

“You really know your house well.” Jiang Ming praised in the meantime since she was able to tell when she arrived back home since the carriage had no windows.

In fact, it has a formation in the carriage, preventing any attacks from the outside to disturb the people inside.

Bing Tong opened the door as she headed outside and said, “Well, wouldn’t it be awkward if a person does not know when they arrive at their own house?”

“You’re right about that. It would really be awkward.”

Sometime later, Bing Tong guided Jiang Ming inside her house where multiple imperial guards were standing still or on the lookout for any intruders.

When Bing Tong walked past them, they all bowed in unison and greeted the princess politely.

“Those imperial guards… they are trained well,” Jiang Ming added when he noticed they were all professional as none of them had stopped her to ask who they were.

After all, it was Jiang Ming and Hong Ling first time in the impartial house but because Bing Tong was the one guiding them, no one dared to utter any complaints and simply let them walk freely.

“I’m glad that my imperial guards did not disappoint you, Jiang Ming” Bing Tong showed a smile as she waved her hand and ordered the servant.

“These two are my honorable guests so please treat them with the utmost respect and serve the best tea.”

Afterward, Bing Tong excused herself temporarily as she explained that she needed to see her father and bring him here to discuss the technique in further details.

As she left, the servant bowed slightly before standing up and asked Jiang Ming and Hong Ling to please take a seat.

“Honorable guest, may I ask what kind of tea do you prefer or want to drink?” The servant then asked politely.

Jiang Ming rubbed his chin softly as he was well-versed in tea from the virtual game, Cultivation Omega.

However, the tea he preferred wouldn’t be available here as he knew how precious and rare the ingredients are needed to brew the tea he liked.

Thus, he tilted his head and glanced at Hong Ling. “What tea do you want to drink?”

Hong Ling was surprised that Jiang Ming would ask what she preferred when she was just a maid.

She lowered her head in embarrassment and it was clear that she was nervous in the imperial house.

She was of lowly status so she would never expect there would come a day where she would be treated as an ‘honorable guest’ in the imperial house.

People dreamed about being able to visit here daily and yet she had done something impossible.

“I-I will have whatever tea is easy for you to brew,” Hong Ling said in a low tone.

She didn’t dare to act haughtily to the servant in the imperial house as she was clear of her own status. She was different from Jiang Ming who was held in high regard by the princess.

The servant merely glanced at Jiang Ming briefly who nodded his head in response.

“I see, in that case, we would make some High Mountain Oolong Tea for you.” The servant bowed as he left the room shortly after.

When Jiang Ming saw no one else in the room, he placed his hand at Hong Ling and asked, “Why are you acting like you do not belong here?”
