24 A Cure for Impotence
Chen Peizhi was dumbfounded to hear Jiang Ming detecting his health problem as he became embarrassed.
After all, his injury was something that brought disgrace and something that no man would ever want to talk about.
“I-Is it possible to discuss this privately?” Chen Peizhi asked nervously, hoping that Jiang Ming would spare him the humiliation.
Jiang Ming nodded his head as he quickly dismissed the other people except for Luo Geming.
After all, he still has to deal with him for trying to threaten him and Jiang Ming was not a kind person to let him get away easily.
“Y-Young master, please forgive my foolishness. M-My family works for the imperial family and it would cause chaos if something happened to me.” Luo Geming pleaded while adding on values about his family, hinting that he was not some third-rate person that can be gotten rid of.
At the same time, Luo Geming glanced at Chen Peizhi secretly as he was in this situation because he stood up for him..
Chen Peizhi also noticed his dilemma was due to his fault so he decided to step in.
“Y-Young master, I know that Luo Geming deserves punishment as he has eyes but failed to recognize mountain Tai. But he did it for me and I hope you can be lenient to him.” Chen Peizhi said in a respectful tone as he made sure he did not offend Jiang Ming.
Jiang Ming didn’t say anything and merely glanced at Hong Ling.
Hong Ling nodded her head and walked toward Luo Geming. “My young master is just and fair so as long as you paid some money for my young master then you can leave.”
Luo Geming brightened up as he only needed to pay money to be free. Thus, he quickly retrieved a large brown bag that contained a lot of spirit stones for Hong Ling.
Hong Ling glanced at the spirit stones contained inside as she waved her hand to shoo Luo Geming away.
Afterward, Hong Ling stored the brown bag into the storage ring that Jiang Ming gave her and walked toward him.
Jiang Ming gave a thumbs up at Hong Ling for understanding his thought process which caused Hong Ling to blush slightly as she lowered her head.
“Uhh- young master?” Chen Peizhi said as he wanted Jiang Ming to tell him the cure now.
“Call me Jiang Ming from now on, I don’t like it when a middle-aged man calls me a young master. I’ll get goosebumps,” Jiang Ming directly said without caring for Chen Peizhi.
“Yes yes, Jiang Ming,” Chen Peizhi quickly corrected himself as he rubbed his hand together slightly.
He was anxious and agitated at the same time in knowing there would be a cure for his problem as his wife has been suspecting him of having a mistress.
He loved his wife but he couldn’t do the deed because of his condition that happened during an unfortunate event when he was doing a deal outside.
Jiang Ming was a bit disgusted at the current expression of Chen Peizhi as he stepped away slightly.
“Stay right there and listen carefully to the ingredients I’m telling you to get.” Jiang Ming then said as he halted Chen Peizhi who tried to follow after him.
Chen Peizhi nodded his head vigorously as he perked his ears up.
Jiang Ming started naming ingredients after ingredients and Chen Peizhi would memorize them completely, without missing a single ingredient even though Jiang Ming was saying it extremely fast.
By the time Jiang Ming was finished, over 40 ingredients were named and Chen Peizhi was able to memorize them.
“You know where to find all those ingredients right?” Jiang Ming then asked him.
“Yes, even though some ingredients are rare and expensive, I can manage to get them for myself,” Chen Peizhi replied respectfully.
Jiang Ming nodded his head and made sure to emphasize that missing a single ingredient in the list he said would cause his condition to worsen or even death will become a possibility.
Chen Peizhi paled when he realized the severity as he reassured Jiang Ming that he would get all those ingredients.
“Gather all those ingredients then come to me at that time. After all, the usage of those ingredients is complicated and I doubt you would trust some other alchemist to help you when your condition has been around for a long time.” Jiang Ming smirked as he saw Chen Peizhi unconsciously covering his bottom part.
“I-I will find them now and be back as soon as possible.” Chen Peizhi said as he dashed away quickly, obviously in a rush to get his hands on those ingredients.
“This old man sure is a failure in life. How can he be a merchant when he’s impotent and I really pity the lonely wife at home?” Jiang Ming started laughing as he got another pawn in his hand.
“Do you really have the cure for impotence?” Hong Ling asked as they started heading back to the house.
“Of course, did you think I would boast about something that I’m incapable of doing?” Jiang Ming said as he wrapped his hand around her shoulders.
Hong Ling didn’t mind but she soon noticed that Jiang Ming’s back was soaking wet, almost like he had gone through a long exercise.
“J-Jiang Ming, what happened to you,” Hong Ling said in a panic when she felt Jiang Ming was using her as a strength to continue walking and wasn’t taking advantage of her.
“Nothing much, it’s just that my spiritual qi is depleted because of the sword formation,” Jiang Ming managed to chuckle softly despite his exhaustion.
Using the sword formation required a lot of focus and spiritual qi.
He has been bluffing those people the entire time while putting up a facade that he was still strong enough to handle them.
“You need to rest now, Jiang Ming,” Hong Ling suddenly said in an authoritative tone, surprising Jiang Ming for her attitude as she carried Jiang Ming’s arm to his room.
