23 Condition
Jiang Ming smirked at the words that Chen Peizhi uttered.
He glanced at Hong Ling and nodded his head to signal her to state the condition.
Hong Ling smiled and opened the gate as she glared at Chen Peizhi.
“My master is willing to forgive you if you give up one of your profitable stores in the Central District.” Hong Ling said.
Chen Peizhi was stunned by the condition that Jiang Ming set. It was a daylight robbery to obtain one of his profitable stores.
“I-Impossible, do you have any idea how much my stores earn yearly?” Chen Peizhi shouted in anger.
At the same time, he started glancing at the people that came with him, clearly asking them to help him out due to their connection.
The crowd began debating whether or not to help Chen Peizhi and soon, one middle-aged man decided to step forward..
He cupped his fist at Jiang Ming and said, “My name is Luo Geming and I hoped the young master would not push things too far. After all, anyone here that is capable of living in the Central District has a reputation and multiple connections.”
Jiang Ming chuckled softly at this brave middle-aged man for walking forward. “You seem to want to suffer the same fate as Chen Peizhi- not that I mind wasting more energy on you with my sword formation.”
Luo Geming shuddered briefly but quickly shook his head as he regained his composure.
“Indeed, you have a powerful sword formation that even we were caught off-guard by. However, can you deal with everyone here and survive our retaliation if we go against you.” Luo Geming threatened, hoping Jiang Ming would back off and leave things peacefully.
“You senile old man are truly hilarious. You think that you’re the only bigshot here and that I’m just someone lucky enough to be in the Central District.” Jiang Ming said and his expression soon darkened.
His tone became cold as he signaled Hong Ling to reveal the item.
Hong Ling caught his signal as she quickly retrieved a gold card and showed it to Luo Geming.
The gold card shone brightly and caught everyone’s attention. By the time Luo Geming realized what that gold card was, it was already too late for him.
He has thought that Jiang Ming would be a pushover as long as he showed off some authority but never did he expect Jiang Ming would be capable of holding a gold card status.
A gold card meant that Jiang Ming was connected with a 4th tier alchemist and everyone knows, offending a friend of an alchemist is equivalent to offending the alchemist and the entire association.
Luo Geming quickly bowed as he apologized for his insolent behavior and begged Jiang Ming to forgive his old brain for not thinking straight.
The rest of the crowd sighed in relief when they were merely spectating without stepping forward to help Chen Peizhi out.
Meanwhile, Luo Geming joined Chen Peizhi in kneeling as they both cursed their luck inwardly.
They came here to try and obtain a natural treasure that descended down from the sky but now that there is a gold card with Jiang Ming. They knew it must have something to do with the refinement of a pill that caused such a sensation.
“I have already stated my condition for Chen Peizhi if he wants my forgiveness.” Jiang Ming shrugged his shoulders as he said.
“I-I understand young master, I will give you my Moon Bazaar that has the most profitable business ever. Please accept my store,” Chen Peizhi quickly said and banged his head on the ground as he begged him to accept it.
As a merchant, he relied heavily on the pills that he received from the alchemists and if he offended the entire batch then his business would soon go out of place.
Thus, he rather gave up one business over his entire business and wished that Jiang Ming would forgive his prior offense.
Jiang Ming nodded his head in approval.
“Very well, Chen Peizhi. Since you kindly offer the Moon Bazaar to me then please sign the contract right away from my maid, Hong Ling.” Jiang Ming then said, shocking Chen Peizhi as he witnessed Hong Ling taking out a contract form.
It was like Jiang Ming knew that he would give up a store today for him and Chen Peizhi started to ponder if he had fallen into a trap.
Alas, he didn’t have much time to think when Hong Ling handed him the paper and a small knife.
Chen Peizhi gritted his teeth as he grabbed the small knife and made a small cut in his finger as blood started to drip down.
Afterward, Chen Peizhi stamped his finger in the contract, officially handing over the ownership of the Moon Bazaar to Jiang Ming.
“Master, here’s the contract,” Hong Ling grabbed the contract and handed it over for Jiang Ming to inspect.
Jiang Ming smiled inwardly as to how easy it was to earn a profitable store without lifting a finger.
Right when Chen Peizhi was about to leave, Jiang Ming suddenly shouted to halt his movement.
“Is there still a problem, sir?” Chen Peizhi managed to say it politely without raising his tone.
“Yes, for being generous in giving me the Moon Bazaar, I will return the favor.” Jiang Ming smiled.
As much as he didn’t want to help Chen Peizhi out because of his rotten behavior, he still needed to maintain some good relationships and not have them leave in a bitter taste.
Having a friend is better than having an enemy that wants to plot against you every day.
Meanwhile, Chen Peizhi raised his eyebrow slightly in confusion.
‘What is this brat plotting?’ Chen Peizhi questioned inwardly as he cupped his fist and asked.
“What does the young master mean?”
“You haven’t been able to satisfy your wife because of your condition right?” Jiang Ming said and he could see Chen Peizhi trembled slightly.
“What if I tell you that I have a way to cure you?” Jiang Ming continued with a grin.
