138 Masks
Jiang Ming proceeded to spend the next few minutes explaining what the disk was used for. “That disk is going to be used as a transportation device for the necessary pills that I have.”
Hong Ling’s mouth had an ‘O’ shape as she nodded her head.
Although she had never known how Jiang Ming managed to constantly supply the Moon Bazaar with an abundant amount of pills with extreme miraculous effects, she would never question him about it.
After all, every person had their own secret and unless Jiang Ming was willing to explain his supply of pills, then she would just keep quiet.
That was the very basic requirement for being a maid. Never question and just do as you’re told without any hesitation.
“I understand, Young Master. I’ll make sure to place this in the secret chamber and if anyone were to touch it without permission, I shall execute them.” Hong Ling said in a solemn tone..
“E-Execute?” Jiang Ming nearly choked on his own food when he heard that. Never did he expect the maid that he easily took under his swing to be such a savage woman. Although it’s savage, he liked it very much.
“Go ahead, Hong Ling. Anyone that dares to provoke us or even tries to kill us shall be executed without mercy.” He added.
Whether it’s in a game or in real life, Jiang Ming knew one must be ruthless when it comes to a cultivation world. He would never be soft-hearted and allow his enemies to escape, only to bite them back in the end.
The dinner proceeded smoothly and before everyone knew it, there was a big earthquake just 20 kilometers away from the city.
“It’s finally here, aunt.” Jiang Ming said, clad in a uniformed outfit designed by Yang Liqin.
“Un, seems like all those powerful clans are already rushing toward there.” Yang Liqin replied, dressed in a beautiful tight outfit. The outfit was similar to those red military uniforms, just perfect for her to fight in. She oozed out a mature and heavenly aura, one that would make Jiang Ming drool all over.
Alas, now was not the time to flirt or tease her. Time was of essential importance and he needed to rush to the opening of the ancient ruin.
“Young Master, Madam Yang, please be safe.” Hong Ling stood by the side of the door as she wished them good luck. Since she was not going to stay with them, she could only pray for their safety.
“Mhmm, I’ll leave the Moon Bazaar to you.” Jiang Ming replied calmly.
“Remember, Hong Ling… if there’s any trouble, use the tricks I’ve taught you. We are no longer someone that could be trampled upon.” Yang Liqin said, giving her last bit of advice to Hong Ling. Something that was secret between them.
Hong Ling’s lips curled upward as she nodded her head. Her eyes showed a fierce glint and exuded a murderous aura as she kept her advice in mind. ‘Rest assured, Madam Yang. This maid would not forget your teaching.’
Sometime later, Jiang Ming and Yang Liqin started heading toward the location of the sudden earthquake. Normally, people would avoid such a natural disaster, but for cultivators, earthquakes are like nothing to them. After all, they could easily float above the skies to avoid collateral damage. Not to mention, their bodies are not like mortals that are fragile and easily damaged when hit by concrete.
Within a few minutes, Jiang Ming managed to see a large group of people ahead of them with his spiritual perception. He halted his movement and turned around to look at Yang Liqin.
“Aunt, do you want to proceed with my idea?” He asked gently.
Yang Liqin pondered for a moment before using her own spiritual perception. Her spiritual perception was more wider and profound than Jiang Ming, prompting him to be a bit embarrassed.
A few seconds later, she retracted her perception and nodded her head. “Seems like the crowd had turned big enough to hold a large concert. I guess we have no choice but to follow your idea.”
“Don’t feel so bad, aunt. You’ll look even sexier when you put on a mask concealing our aura.” Jiang Ming said cheekily, bringing out two masks that he had purchased from the GLCS store.
The mask is designed specifically to match the user’s facial feature, meaning that no matter how wide or small your face is, the moment you put it on, the mask would automatically change its size to fit your face perfectly.
In addition, the masks purchased from the GLCS store were by no means common or regular. It had a special function of concealing the person’s entire aura and spiritual qi, prompting the other people to be unable to recognize them.
Yang Liqin was a bit displeased to wear a mask since it made her look like a criminal on the run. “Sigh, I really don’t want to hide like some rats again.”
Memories of her past had traumatized her which caused her to be extremely reluctant. It was also the first time she was pouting like some little girl, not wanting to do something.
Jiang Ming might not know what she had experienced, but he knew it must have been something unpleasant. He took a step forward and embraced her gently, putting her head on his chest.
“I’m sorry, aunt. But if we were to reveal ourselves in front of the entire group, then who knows how many of them would be targeting us right away.” He apologized sincerely.
With his current position and rise to power, it didn’t matter if he had offended the 6 powerful clans before or not. They would still target him because he was an outsider and a threat to them. Hence, Jiang Ming didn’t care about trampling them since they were irreconcilable, to begin with.
Feeling his warm temperature, Yang Liqin bit her lips softly as she placed on the mask.
“You are really my only weakness, Jiang Ming. I could never say no to your request…”
