137 Awkwardness
Jiang Ming was baffled when Hong Ling suddenly mentioned the ancient ruin.
“Did aunt tell you about our plan already?” He asked in a mild tone. He was still in the process of thinking about what to assign for Hong Ling while he was away.
After all, the Moon Bazaar’s business was rapidly extending, and there needed to be close ties with the alchemist guild. Not to mention, the security required for the Moon Bazaar must be prepped carefully.
So many things had to be taken care of, and Jiang Ming feared that it might overload Hong Ling too much. Hence, he tried to coax Chau Heung and bring her over to the Moon Bazaar.
To put things bluntly, he was scouting for Chau Heung to work alongside Hong Ling to manage the Moon Bazaar while they were away.
While he was enjoying the mood with Yang Liqin, he told her this plan, so he was unsure if Hong Ling’s words meant this.
And as expected, Hong Ling kindly replied, “Un, you wanted me to work with Chau Heung while you are away with Madam Yang, right? I understand your dilemma, Young Master. So please rest assured, and allow me to help lessen your burden.”.
The moment he heard such caring words from Hong Ling, he was stunned and froze in place. This was the clear definition of a perfect maid that will take care of their Young Master’s well-being.
“Thank you, Hong Ling.” Jiang Ming smiled lightly, patting her head in the meantime. “Now I can relax when the ancient ruin appears. With you managing on our behalf, I doubt anything will go wrong.”
“Un, now can you go to the diner table and wait a while? I’m trying to cook here.”
“Haha, so harsh~”
Sometime later, Jiang Ming went toward the diner table and took a seat. Once he sat down, he opened his inventory to check the items there.
Besides the pills that he yoinked from Alchemist Ren and Chau Zhimen, there were more pills coming from the Automatic Refinement.
However, the problem now was how was he supposed to transport the pills created by the Automatic Refinement to the Moon Bazaar? Normally, he would go in there once in a while to refill the pills on the shelves, but with him gone, he wouldn’t be able to manually refill them.
They could still manage for a few days, but within a few weeks or even months later, the shelves would be emptied without his pills. Of course, Alchemist Ren and Chau Zhimen could occasionally help supply the pills, but the difference is the quality and effects.
The Automatic Refinement is one of the best functions there is in the GLCS that produced miraculous pills that an alchemist could not refine.
Effects such as bonus stats increased temporarily or the pill dosage was doubled, increasing its efficiency. All of these could not be done by Alchemist Ren or Chau Zhimen even if they tried. It was something that only players in Cultivation Omega could produce due to the system’s help.
‘GLCS, do you have a solution for this? If the regular customers realized the pills they usually bought have a deficiency or it’s not the usual ones, then it’ll be problematic.’ Jiang Ming asked the system for help. He did not want the Moon Bazaar’s reputation to be tarnished because of his negligence.
Quality must always be guaranteed in a store no matter what era or place you are in. Without quality, there is basically no point in continuing the business.
Ding!
<Player Jiang Ming can put a checkpoint in the Moon Bazaar for the Automatic Refinement to place its completed pills there>
–
‘Really? That’s perfect then.’ Jiang Ming was jubilant about the news that he could actually place a checkpoint for the transfer. Now all his previous worries were for naught.
Quickly, GLCS, tell me how to set up the checkpoint.’ Jiang Ming commanded. Soon, a set of manuals appeared in front of him on a transparent screen, showing the step-by-step instructions.
With his knowledge, it was a piece of cake for him to memorize the instructions in a matter of seconds.
Sometime later, Yang Liqin came downstairs with a refreshed face, acting like she wasn’t doing some intense exercise before. She sat across Jiang Ming and patiently waited for Hong Ling to place all the dishes on the table.
Of course, when Hong Ling and Yang Liqin’s eyes met, they would inadvertently try to avoid each other’s gaze, clearly a bit ashamed of themselves.
Jiang Ming stared at the two of them with an awkward expression.
‘Are these two going to be embarrassed at each other from now on? If that’s the case, then I guess we must do a threesome to nullify the embarrassment.’ He thought.
His lips soon curled into a wicked manner as he tried to suppress the joy of enjoying a dream that every man had hoped to obtain.
Alas, his wicked grin was quickly noticed by Hong Ling and Yang Liqin. And with their perspectives of him, it didn’t take long before they knew he was most likely thinking something naughty.
“You are really helpless, Jiang Ming.” Yang Liqin scolded in an angry manner. “Is your brain filled with lust and only lust?”
“Un, Young Master… you shouldn’t keep thinking about nasty stuff and focus on the important task ahead.” Hong Ling added.
“B-But I didn’t even say anything aloud.”
“Your expression alone is enough.”
Just like that, a casual dinner commenced between them as they discussed their plans when the ancient ruin began. It was a heartfelt dinner that was shared between them, and no one could take that away.
“Oh right Hong Ling, before I forget, take this disk and place it in the secret chamber in the Moon Bazaar.” Jiang Ming said, handing the disk out to Hong Ling.
Hong Ling held the disk with a perplexed expression.
“What is this disk for, Young Master?” Hong Ling asked.
“I feel a chill aura emitting from the disk. Is this some kind of protection item?”
