With a thunderous impact, Caelum charged straight through the storm of bullets, his speed erupting to a terrifying degree. In the blink of an eye, he had crashed into the ranks of the red skinned alien troops.

He spread his arms to widen his range as much as possible and swept several alien soldiers into his grasp. The force of impact shattered their organs and snapped their spines before they could even struggle.

Blood burst from their mouths as they collapsed.

The aliens had no time to react. Caelum seized the nearest soldier by the head and crushed it, then turned with a sweeping kick that almost cut another alien in half at the waist.

Infinite Overload, potential release.

Strength: 33 tons.

Infinite Overload, potential release.

Strength: 37 tons.

"He is here!"

The aliens shouted in fear, yet none of them ran. They swung their guns around and kept firing wildly at Caelum, but the bullets struck his body and only left a stinging sensation.

Other than making his skin turn red, they had no effect at all.

A vicious look crossed Caelum’s face.

He grabbed one of the aliens and swung him like a weapon.

Heavy impacts rang out one after another. Several nearby aliens were swept away in succession, bursting into clouds of blood and dying on the spot. Caelum released the body in his hand and used it to smash another alien to death.

Infinite Overload, potential release.

Strength: 42 tons.

His strength was rising madly.

Caelum’s defense grew more terrifying with every kill.

Once he had broken into the alien formation, it was like a wolf tearing into a flock of sheep. He became death itself. Wherever he passed, blood and flesh flew, and no one could stop him.

"What do we do? We cannot hurt him!"

"Let me!"

A red skinned alien hoisted a rocket launcher onto his shoulder. After aiming at Caelum, he fired without hesitation, roaring at the top of his lungs.

"Die, alien race!"

White smoke trailed through the air.

Caelum shifted aside and avoided the rocket, only for more rockets to come from every direction the next second. One of them struck him.

The explosion swallowed him in violent firelight. Shrapnel flew outward and caused heavy damage even among the nearby aliens.

But they no longer cared.

They only wanted to kill Caelum.

"Is he dead?"

The shockwave pushed Caelum back, but he soon steadied himself. His weight was too great, and that degree of force could not drive him far.

His skin was burning hot, but there was not a single wound. The only thing damaged was his clothing. His upper garment had been blown away.

Caelum’s eyes were bloodshot, scorched by the flames of the rocket explosion. His cold gaze swept over the alien soldiers present, like a volcano on the verge of eruption.

It made their skin crawl.

"Hurry, notify headquarters!"

An alien shouted.

The next moment, an unstoppable body tore through the air. The astonishing speed stirred up a screaming gale, and everywhere he passed, blood sprayed while severed limbs flew.

"Calling headquarters, calling headquarters. Requesting support. A member of an alien race has been found at Position 157. Our forces have suffered heavy losses. Total annihilation is expected. Requesting support..."

The distress signal in the communication channel cut off.

Caelum crushed the radio underfoot and killed the alien soldier requesting support. He looked around, and the battlefield had returned to silence.

Only alien corpses covered the ground.

Infinite Overload, potential release.

Strength: 85 tons.

Infinite Overload, extreme ascent.

Evolution Progress: 10 percent.

A massive increase.

He had not been on this alien planet for long, yet Caelum’s strength had already broken through to 85 tons. For that, the alien force at Position 157 had paid the price of complete destruction.

His weight had become even more frightening. Every step left a clear footprint behind.

Before he could catch his breath, Caelum raised his head and looked toward the sky.

"That is..."

Boom.

Boom, boom, boom, boom.

The support the aliens had called for before death arrived. A huge number of shells rained in from dozens of kilometers away, carrying immense kinetic force as they blanketed Position 157.

Soil flew into the air.

Broken stones shot across the ground.

Position 157 was bombarded for nearly 20 minutes. Craters were everywhere, with not a single intact spot left. The remaining alien bodies had been blasted apart.

Amid the thick smoke, Caelum protected his head, his chest rising and falling. Under the attack of modern artillery, he had finally been wounded, and not lightly.

Drops of blood slid down his face. A shell had torn a wound 20 centimeters long across his arm, and his knotted muscles were tightening to close it.

The skin on his back had almost been ripped away.

Pain.

Pain unlike anything he had ever felt.

Caelum clenched his teeth so hard it felt as though they might crack. Blood vessels crowded his eyes until they turned red like they were weeping blood. Fortunately, no shell had struck him head on. Even so, his injuries were severe.

At least he could still move.

Infinite Overload, extreme ascent.

Evolution Progress: 40 percent.

This confirmed it. The heavier the injuries he suffered in battle, the more evolution progress he accumulated.

But at this moment, Caelum had no mind to pay attention to that.

The sound of helicopter blades cutting through the air approached from afar. A helicopter swept over Position 157, and the alien soldiers aboard scanned the ground with binoculars.

Immediately, one of them shouted into the communication channel.

"Alien race discovered. Target has not been eliminated. He is not dead!"

Rage burned through Caelum. The rush of adrenaline dulled his pain somewhat. The moment he saw the helicopter pass overhead, he broke into a run and leapt.

His body slammed into the helicopter in midair.

Then the helicopter plunged toward the ground and crashed.

Caelum walked out from the wreckage. His wounds felt a little itchy. They were healing. His powerful physique gave him recovery ability beyond that of an ordinary person.

Unfortunately, it was not fast enough to fully heal in a short time.

There was no time to hesitate.

He decisively moved toward the direction of the door. His powerful jumping ability sent him high into the air, and he could even dive and glide for brief moments.

The civilization and technology of this planet seemed roughly similar to Earth’s.

Caelum had now experienced the power of modern firepower. If he wanted to resist modern heavy weapons, he needed to become even stronger.

At the same time, inside the alien wartime headquarters, Caelum’s figure appeared on the screen as he ran and glided at high speed. The image captured by a satellite in low orbit was very clear, and they did not seem surprised by Caelum’s unbelievable physical strength.

"The target alien race is rapidly approaching one of our cities."

"Based on the target’s movement direction, he will encounter our Thirty Eighth Regiment head on in 20 minutes. Medium range artillery support has been confirmed ineffective. Conventional methods cannot inflict effective damage on the target."

"Requesting missile launch authorization."

Headquarters had no time to hesitate. If they delayed any longer, the target would collide with the Thirty Eighth Regiment. Once the Thirty Eighth Regiment was broken through, their city lay behind it.

"Launch authorized."

At once, a missile launcher entered firing procedure.

After confirming the target’s position, the operator pressed the launch button. Thick smoke billowed out, and a missile dragged a bright tail flame behind it like a blade leaving its sheath. Driven by powerful thrust, it kept accelerating, crossed a vast distance, and successfully locked onto the target under satellite guidance.
