Guzman lit a cigarette for Geraldine.

Geraldine held it between her lips right there on the street, without the slightest regard for ladylike manners.

"You are the only person who has had close contact with him. Right now, only you can find where he is. Follow the direction of the smoke and help me find him."

That was what Guzman said.

Geraldine answered, "I will do my best."

Snap.

Guzman snapped his fingers.

An owl immediately descended from the sky. It seemed to have been circling above them from the very beginning.

He wrote a note and handed it to the owl. The owl then beat its wings and flew off somewhere.

Guzman took out his pocket watch and checked the time.

"Miss Geraldine, we have to find him within thirty minutes."

In thirty minutes, reinforcements from the Secret Investigation Bureau would arrive.

Not much time had passed since the incident. Caelum should still be within Cton.

Guzman had to deal with him as soon as possible.

A madman who dared make a deal with an ancient god.

No one knew how much reason he still had left.

Someone like that absolutely could not be allowed to remain in this world.

Cton train station.

The whistle sounded.

A train slowly pulled into the station. After it stopped, passengers stepped out one after another.

Javier, who should have left long ago, had returned to Cton.

His face looked terrible.

A group of oddly dressed people followed beside him.

Their leader was an old man so withered he looked almost like a skeleton, lifeless, as if he could be buried at any moment.

Beside this old man, Javier did not dare make any careless move.

There was no other reason.

This old man was the Grand Archbishop of the Crossbone Order.

The relic left behind by the Outer God was in the Grand Archbishop’s hands.

Because of that, the Grand Archbishop’s strength stood above everyone else in the order.

Javier and Soros had failed their mission and had not brought Geraldine back to the order. After learning of this, the Grand Archbishop had decisively come in person.

Geraldine concerned the revival of an ancient god. Nothing could go wrong.

Because the matter was so important, the Grand Archbishop had not only come personally, he had also brought a group of high ranking members of the order.

The group carried an air as if they would kill anyone or anything that stood in their way.

Javier clearly did not want to return.

But he was the only person in the order who knew Geraldine’s identity and had seen her before, so the Grand Archbishop had dragged him along.

Throughout the journey, Javier had spoken himself almost hoarse, warning them again and again.

After getting off the train, he still tried once more to persuade the Grand Archbishop.

"Grand Archbishop, Cton is truly dangerous."

"Javier, did one failure frighten you out of your courage? Have you forgotten the teachings of the order? Or are you questioning my strength?"

The Grand Archbishop glanced at Javier coldly, his tone unpleasant.

Javier continued trying to give him warning in advance.

"In any case, Grand Archbishop, if you meet a certain person, I strongly suggest that you absolutely do not fight him."

"Hmph."

Being questioned again and again made the Grand Archbishop’s face grow worse.

With the Outer God’s relic in his hand, he feared nothing.

Still, Javier was a Prophet Sequence user. His words might hold some truth.

The Grand Archbishop was quite curious about who this person Javier kept mentioning actually was.

"Who exactly is this person you speak of?"

"He..."

Before Javier could finish, his steps suddenly stopped.

His gaze fixed ahead, and his scalp went numb.

In the crowd surging before them, a figure in a black suit walked against the flow.

Steady as a boulder in the current.

His eyes were calm like ice, enough to make others shrink back from a single look.

Javier unconsciously took one step back.

The Grand Archbishop was surprised. Following Javier’s gaze, he saw Caelum at once.

Then he understood.

"The person you spoke of is him?"

Javier did not answer.

Instead, he very decisively raised both hands and shouted in a clear, loud voice.

"I have no hostility toward you. I surrender!"

No one could sense danger earlier than a Prophet Sequence user.

The instant Javier saw Caelum, the violent killing intent and aura of death rushing toward him almost made him unable to breathe.

Without hesitation, he gave up resisting.

Perhaps this way, there might still be a slim chance of survival.

When a person was unlucky, even drinking cold water could get stuck between his teeth.

He had just gotten off the train and immediately run into this killing god. Who could he complain to?

Fortunately, Javier realized that Caelum did not seem to have come for him.

That was why he surrendered so cleanly.

He did not want to be dragged into this battle.

The Grand Archbishop’s face turned dark.

But this was clearly not the time to teach Javier a lesson.

Before this, Javier had repeatedly warned him not to fight Caelum.

He had not taken it seriously.

Now he knew why.

That reason and killing intent, pure to the extreme, made even the Grand Archbishop feel a chill.

Most important of all, he sensed a trace of an ancient god’s aura on Caelum.

His pupils tightened.

He made the decision instantly and shouted.

"Careful..."

The word had barely left his mouth.

Caelum swept past with ghostlike speed.

The dozen or so high ranking members of the order who had come with them were all killed in an instant.

Hot blood from severed arteries sprayed out and splashed across the Grand Archbishop’s face.

There was no time to react.

No matter what Sequence path power they possessed, all of it was broken by One Hit Kill.

Their lives were severed at the root and on the conceptual level.

The Grand Archbishop felt his courage split apart.

The black tide surged wildly.

At the critical moment, it swept outward, trying to swallow Caelum whole.

From this sight alone, it could be seen that the Grand Archbishop’s Sequence path was Night Watcher Sequence.

Night Watcher Sequence Stage Four.

Caelum’s figure paused.

With one slash, he tore apart the rushing black tide.

The Grand Archbishop did not find this unexpected.

In that instant bought by the black tide, he pulled a blood colored spear from within it and thrust it at Caelum.

From somewhere unseen, Caelum’s intuition told him that this was a true hit strike.

In that flash of time, a fierce smile appeared on the Grand Archbishop’s face.

The spear stabbed straight into Caelum.

At once, powerful force erupted from the blood colored spear.

It seemed ready to drain all of Caelum’s strength dry.

However, the spear could not even break Caelum’s defense.

Having erased every negative state from himself, it was even more impossible for him to have his power drained away by the blood spear.

The Grand Archbishop’s smile did not last.

Under his horrified gaze, Caelum grabbed the blood colored spear and seized it with irresistible force.

Then he turned it around and drove it through the Grand Archbishop’s body.

The blood spear carried a true hit effect.

There was no avoiding it.

"How is this possible?"

Those were the Grand Archbishop’s last words.

Disbelief filled his face.

Even at death, he could not understand why the blood spear had been useless against Caelum.

One Hit Kill erased the Grand Archbishop’s life.

At the same time, the moment the spear pierced his body, all the power inside him was drawn into the blood spear.

Then it poured into Caelum.
