Chapter 451: Talking To Princess

Faye was standing right inside the convenience store buying everyday groceries and tasty snacks while also casually talking to her beautiful Alpha girlfriend on a live video call.

"Ever since I told him that I am pregnant again, my brother has totally refused to talk to me. It literally feels like my very first pregnancy all over again," complained Faye’s girlfriend, who was currently standing in the kitchen preparing lunch for her brothers and all the little children.

"You should have just waited for me to arrive over there, then we could have announced it together as a team,"

"Uh, that would have been so much worse. He would have literally had a massive heart attack right on the spot."

"No offense to you, but your brother is seriously weird."

"And your own brothers are way weirder," Faye quickly replied with a soft smirk.

Princess laughed out loud, and then she turned her phone screen to show Faye her brother Leo, who happened to be standing right there in the kitchen and had clearly heard their entire conversation.

"Hey, Leo. How are you doing today?"

"Hey, future sister-in-law. I’m doing great. Right now, I am happily assisting my favorite sister in the whole world. We are currently making delicious Chinese fried rice together," Leo said so casually. His usual smooth tone was still completely there, but the overall vibe felt much softer than on a normal day when Leo usually said sweet things just to manipulate Princess.

"Good. And I am currently buying groceries for the house."

"Yeah, I heard that. I actually have a question for you, if you don’t mind asking..." Leo said, his sharp face appearing directly on the screen.

"What is it?"

"Is there any real chance that your little nephew belongs to Adam?"

"I have no idea what you are talking about," Faye immediately denied it without missing a single beat.

Then Princess quickly pulled the phone back and returned to the screen.

"Don’t mind him at all, baby. Ever since yesterday, he has been under this weird impression that Kaye might actually be Adam’s biological son, but I personally don’t think so, because he is an omega. And also, it’s true they have a lot of random similarities. They are both super allergic to carrots, they both like keeping all their personal things perfectly tidy, and they both have this possession of makeup... which was honestly something I always thought was just Adam being Adam because he loves to be totally perfect. But that definitely doesn’t mean he is Kaye’s Alpha dad..."

Princess suddenly stopped talking mid-sentence when she noticed her girlfriend’s left eye nervously twitching.

"Faye, are you okay over there?"

"Oh my goodness, I think the signal line is breaking up. I really can’t hear you at all, babe..."

Then Faye immediately hung up the call, taking a huge, deep breath to calm her racing heart.

"WOW, Eriko was completely right about those two crazy detectives..."

Faye was standing right in the donut section, patiently waiting for her donuts to be packed up in a box, when Princess called her back again.

She took a deep breath and picked up the screen.

"Hello, babe."

"You hung up on me."

"No, the phone was just acting super funny and..."

"There’s really no need to lie. I am not going to ask you that big question you are trying so hard to avoid. Your eyes already completely confirmed my doubts."

"Something was just floating in my eyes..." Faye tried her best to defend herself.

"Your eyes are doing that exact twitching thing again, which always means you are lying to me. You are honestly no good at lying at all."

"I am a total perfect liar, just for your information."

"Yeah, yeah, I totally believe you. So tell me right now, how exactly did that whole ritual go yesterday with Kiara?"

"Huh?"

"Faye, you heard me clearly. I knew Kiara was going to do it yesterday. That was the exact reason why I personally asked Beam to watch over you. So, tell me, how did it go?"

Faye just stared blankly at her girlfriend on the small screen. She really was a boss bitch. Even from so far away in another town, she still monitored every single thing happening around her.

"Yesterday, I found out that I actually have an older brother who is much older than Paye, even older than our whole lineage of ancestors."

"Who on earth is that?"

"The Fire Demon. He was actually my brother during my second past life, and my original Beta. That is the exact reason why I don’t get burned by Kiara’s dangerous blood at all. It has zero effect on my skin. I unknowingly created the Fire Demon from my past."

"That is wild. When I get back home, we will sit down and fully discuss it. Right now I need to focus on my cooking. I love you so much."

"I love you too, bae. Kisses."

They finally hung up the phone, and Faye was completely done with her morning shopping. She walked over to the checkout counter to make her electronic payment. Beam was the one standing behind the digital counter attending to her.

"Your girlfriend isn’t around today?" Faye asked, putting her bags down.

"No, she isn’t here. She went away on a nice vacation. I personally told her to go this morning. That girl really needs to rest her body. She has been the main one managing this whole store alone. It’s just a quick one-week break."

"I see how it is. Everyone is just moving around today. Is the doctor inside today?"

"No. Jack is probably hanging out with Silviana, or I honestly don’t know where she is right now. I didn’t see her when I arrived late last night, just the grandparents sitting around."

"Okay. When you see her later, tell her I asked after her. See ya later."

After Faye finished buying everything she wanted, she grabbed her grocery bags, got straight into her car, and drove straight back to the gym.
