Fuck!!!! I'm Having The Alpha Princess's Baby.
Chapter 445: Kiara’s Arc (5)
Obviously, Faye knew Kiara was up to no good, and despite that, she still wanted to help because of the deal they had made. Princess had warned her multiple times that dealing with Kiara was like dealing with a two-faced bitch. Faye had put that warning at the back of her mind instead of actually putting it into action, and now she was on the playground floor, bleeding and gasping for air, her eyes staring at the smirking brunette crouched in front of her.
Her skin felt ice cold where the red liquid ran down her skin, soaking straight into her collar. Her lungs burned with every small effort to draw breath, her vision shaking around the edges while she lay completely stuck against the sand.
"You see, Faye, you were born lucky. To be the Moon Wolf is a blessing. You get to live your life as you please, even if the world counts on you for some revenge stunt or whatever they need you for. You are useful to the less privileged and a threat to the higher privileged. Alphas... you can create whatever you want with that Level 5 brain of yours in a person. That is a good superpower."
Kiara paused. Her fingers tapped against her knee, totally calm while Faye’s chest heaved.
"And me, I came second. I have nothing to worry about, not a single thing. I had my friends, and the girl I liked. Then the one who was supposed to suffer a very cruel fate broke her curse and passed it down to the second one, me..."
Kiara stood up, tied her hair into a ponytail, and rolled it back. She looked at her bloody hand, the same one she had used to slit Faye’s throat. She tilted her palm under the bright overhead light, watching the red drops fall off her skin and hit the ground.
"What do they expect me to do, the fucking same thing? And who am I going to pass it down to? I have no younger siblings. My parents claim to be together, but the Alpha one has been away for like seven years now. They did not let me live my remaining eight years in peace and now I got less than a month. Every single time a Night Walker is in town, I get used as some weapon to kill them, forced to date someone I do not love and watch the one I love suffer my pain."
Kiara clenched her bloody hand into a hard fist, her knuckles turning pale under the dried stains.
"I hate it here. Sometimes, I just wish I could burn every single person living in this town and just let the Walkers have their homes back. That is fair. They brought something into the town to use as a weapon. They could not get rid of it, so they slaughtered them like chickens. I haven’t been slaughtered yet, but I can feel it. Every past dead one who was killed unjustly... every eighteen years, passed down from one family to the other family."
Kiara turned back to Faye and bent down, staring at her as she continued bleeding and choking. Faye’s hands twitched uselessly against the soil, her ribs tight as she struggled against the heavy weight pressing down on her chest.
"Oh, Faye, this is just a little. That is not how we are being slaughtered. They use a fucking silver dagger to do the job..."
Kiara looked at the angry face Faye was giving her. Faye glared straight back through the pain, her teeth grit so tight her jaw hurt, even while her throat kept leaking heat into her shirt.
"Oh, are you angry? Tsk, tsk, tsk. Don’t worry, it won’t take long. You should have healed by now, but time is not on our side, so you are going to keep pumping blood. I need your blood to lure him here. For some reason, he cares about you. I don’t know why. He refuses to share his memories with me."
Kiara smiled.
"But you know, I’m really glad that you returned to Oakland. I had given up hope that I was going to be another fallen victim of their occult practices. And then you sparked and dug your claws into me that very morning. I realized that the demon has a weakness, and that is you."
Kiara used one of her nails to trace Faye’s face. Every line brought out more blood. Sharp pain sliced across Faye’s cheek, making her body jerk.
Faye tried to use her other hand to fight back, swinging her arm up with everything she had left, but Kiara held her hand easily, pinning her wrist flat to the ground.
"This is my domain, and you cannot do anything here. You are in my mind. I control whatever happens here.... My patience is wearing thin..."
Kiara dug her nails deeper into Faye’s heart and looked up at the sky. A fresh spike of agony tore through Faye’s body, forcing a choked scream out of her tight throat while her toes dug into the dirt.
"Come, D. Show yourself and let’s make a deal, or whatever she is to you dies right here in my domain. And I don’t think she is going to reincarnate ever again after this death. You will never see her again..."
Kiara waited a few seconds, her nails digging deeper into Faye’s chest as Faye coughed out blood. Dark spots danced in front of Faye’s eyes, her body shaking from the loss of pressure as her pulse slowed down.
"I just got these nails done yesterday... Maybe I should use my claws instead....."
She muttered, and then the shining sun came running down from the sky towards Kiara. The air grew instantly hot, scorching the grass and soil around them into dust as the sky turned strange and dark.
It landed on the ground with a heavy force that shook the whole playground, sending ripples through the earth.
Kiara watched as the sun formed into a human shape, but it was still the bright color of the sun. Blinding white and gold light burned around the tall figure, radiating pure heat that made the fake air bend and distort.
"What do you want, Kiara Petrova...?"
