Chapter 340: Chapter 45: The First Piece of the Puzzle to Revolutionize Warfare

Flower had watched the entire process of Mo Ning designing the rotor, so she was perfectly clear on its many advantages and couldn’t stop praising it.

The Artificial Soul genuinely believed that this air rotor structure had opened up an entirely new field of design.

Flower also pointed out a major advantage. "Mr. Mo Ning, the rotational speed of the air rotors can get extremely high, can’t it?"

Mo Ning smiled. "According to the current design, it can rotate at a maximum of 1,000 revolutions per second. Its flight speed and maneuverability will be beyond imagination."

Flower was astonished. "I remember the fastest Flying Puppet, the one with vibrating wings, can only flap them 100 times per second at most. And its manufacturing cost is extremely high—at least 2,000 Black Tower Points."

She immediately followed up with an assessment of the Magic Pattern Drone. "Based on the current design, if we use cheaper materials, we could probably make one for just 100 Black Tower Points."

The Artificial Soul exclaimed, "What an incredible design!" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

A tenfold increase in rotational speed, yet a 95% reduction in cost. To Flower, this was nothing short of a miracle.

Mo Ning laughed. "That’s the beauty of the Rotor Puppet. It’s incredibly efficient."

Following the custom of the Wizards, he decided to name the Rotary Wing Magic Pattern Drone the "Rotor Puppet."

The two young women looked at Mo Ning with undisguised adoration in their eyes.

They had just heard Flower say that this would be a "groundbreaking paper," but they hadn’t had a clear grasp of what that meant.

Now, after listening in for so long, they finally realized this was an absolutely revolutionary creation.

’To have their names on this paper... even a Third Level Apprentice would be green with envy!’

"Alright! Let’s get to work!"

Mo Ning ended the discussion with that single sentence.

He didn’t reveal another key piece of information: Rotor Puppets were perfectly suited for swarm combat.

When a single Apprentice could control a dozen, or even dozens, of Rotor Puppets and launch a coordinated attack, it would be enough to strike terror into the heart of any enemy.

It was no exaggeration to say that a First Level Apprentice controlling a swarm of Rotor Puppets would have a high probability of defeating, or even killing, a Second Level Apprentice.

This was the true power of the swarm!

However, the control method for swarm combat was still in the initial research phase. He had not yet begun to deduce and calculate the corresponding Magic Pattern Group.

Because the Magic Pattern Group was highly complex, with a high probability of requiring a Magic Pattern Array for control, its development would take at least half a year.

That was why he didn’t plan to reveal it for the time being.

And the Rotor Puppet was merely the first piece of the puzzle in Mo Ning’s plan to revolutionize warfare.

Mo Ning picked up a piece of Spiritual Material in his left hand and a Spiritual Carving Knife in his right. He began to carve the Magic Pattern Core—the Rotor Puppet’s control system.

Thanks to the cheat-like Simulation Space, his mastery over the art of Magic Pattern carving had already reached an extremely high level.

Although he had only been learning for three months in reality, his carving skill was in no way inferior to that of an Apprentice who had studied Magic Pattern Study for over twenty years.

Another day and night passed.

As morning light once again enveloped the Great White Birch Forest, Anya and Reina entered the Cabin in the Woods.

They immediately saw three silver-white, palm-sized blocks sitting on the wooden table.

The main hall was empty. Only the bedroom door was shut tight.

"Good morning, Miss Anya, Miss Reina!"

Flower’s cheerful greeting immediately reached the two young women’s ears.

"Good morning!"

"Good morning!"

Their two crisp greetings enlivened the atmosphere in the hall.

Flower casually explained, "Mr. Mo Ning worked until three in the morning, then did three hours of Meditation. He’s only just gotten a little sleep."

She had also observed a peculiar phenomenon: during Mo Ning’s Meditation session, a Thunder Eagle formed from slender Electric Snakes had materialized behind him twice.

The Artificial Soul quickly presented the prepared drinks. "Please, help yourselves!"

Two glasses containing a pale green, enticing-looking liquid flew over from the kitchen.

Flower didn’t forget to explain, "This is Birch Juice with added Spiritual Juice. It has the effect of nourishing the skin and can also give your body a pleasant, light fragrance."

It had to be said, the Artificial Soul understood the female psyche very well.

Reina took the glass, her eyes crinkling as she smiled. "I just love the Cabin in the Woods."

Five months had passed, and the Dazed Girl had completely transformed. She had been an ugly duckling when she first entered the academy, but now, her looks could easily be rated an eight out of ten.

She asked casually, "Flower, what kind of Spiritual Fruit is this? How much does it cost?"

The Artificial Soul answered cheerfully, "It’s Spiritual Aijia Fruit. Each one costs 8 Black Tower Points."

Ever since Mo Ning had become wealthy, he’d had Flower periodically purchase a batch of fruit rich in Spiritual Power.

The academy had numerous plantations, several of which specialized in producing Spiritual Fruit. Their main customers were Official Wizards; not many Apprentices were willing to spend the money.

Yet the Cabin in the Woods’ monthly purchasing expenses reached a staggering 400 Black Tower Points.

Anya was taken aback. "That expensive?!"

The Noble Lady had earned a good number of Black Tower Points with Mo Ning, but even she was unwilling to buy such expensive Spiritual Fruit.

Reina’s gaze drifted to the bedroom door. Grinning, she raised her glass in a toast. "To the ever-generous Mr. Mo Ning!"

After taking a sip of the cool, sweet drink, the two young women’s gazes fell upon the three silver-white blocks on the table.

Anya asked curiously, "Are these the Rotor Puppets Mo Ning finished assembling yesterday?"

"Yes!"

Flower replied.

She quickly sent down a wisp of her power, activating one of the blocks.
