From Wizard Apprentice to Conqueror of Myriad Worlds
Chapter 328 - 41: The Conception of Making History
Chapter 328: Chapter 41: The Conception of Making History
A slight smile touched Mo Ning’s lips as he commanded the Leopard Shadow with his gaze: "Come!"
Flower was about to speak when it suddenly witnessed an incredible scene.
The Leopard Shadow leaped up and plunged straight into Mo Ning’s body. A swarm of fine Electric Snakes erupted from him.
The two feather dusters, which had been hovering over ten meters away, were curiously watching the spectacle.
The sudden arcs of electricity seemed to form some kind of force field. The feathers on the dusters all uniformly tilted toward Mo Ning, creating a rather amusing sight.
Like startled rabbits, the two feather dusters hastily retreated another ten meters, no longer daring to get any closer.
Mo Ning lifted a foot and took a step forward.
The moment his Sheepskin Boots touched the ground.
"CRACKLE—"
His entire body transformed into a ball of electric light, vanishing from his spot in an instant and reappearing at the other end of the hall.
In the air between his starting point and destination, extremely fine electrical filaments lingered, slithering for a moment before dissipating.
Flower’s astonished voice broke the hall’s silence. "Mr. Mo Ning, you’ve mastered the Level Zero Witchcraft, *Thunder Shifting*!"
As soon as its voice fell, Mo Ning took another step.
"CRACKLE—"
The crackle of electricity sounded again.
His figure vanished, crossing the several-dozen-meter-wide hall to reappear next to the wooden wall on the other side.
Flower’s tone was filled with excitement. "This is an incredibly powerful movement-type Witchcraft! It allows you to instantly cross hundreds of meters, just like a thunderbolt. As long as it’s within your line of sight, you can arrive with a single thought."
"CRACKLE—"
Mo Ning moved for a third time.
This time, he didn’t travel in a straight line. Instead, he instantly traced a circle around the hall, returning to his original spot.
Countless fine electrical filaments SIZZLED in the air, outlining a faint ring within the hall.
Only then did the Leopard Shadow finally exhaust its power, and the lightning coursing around Mo Ning’s body also dissipated.
He smiled in satisfaction. "This Witchcraft is really quite something."
Quite something?
It was absolutely incredible.
Now that he had mastered *Thunder Shifting*, he could escape with ease even if surrounded by a large group of monsters.
Conversely, when chasing an enemy, he only needed to take a single step to appear right in their face and slam them with a Witchcraft.
Flower’s invisible gaze glinted with immense admiration, but it still diligently performed its duty of providing an explanation:
"*Thunder Shifting* is a very special Level Zero Witchcraft."
"Although its Witchcraft Model is displayed in the Mirror Library, almost no Apprentice has ever been able to learn it."
"This is because the model is missing a crucial component—the Thunder Secret Mark."
"To date, no Wizard has been able to fully explain this mark using Secret Divination."
"It’s not that Wizards lack the ability to analyze it, but rather that the results of their analyses completely lack universal applicability."
"The explanation given by Wizards is that the Thunder Secret Mark involves certain fundamental aspects of the soul."
"In other words, the mark possessed by every Wizard who masters *Thunder Shifting* is different."
"Therefore, a Witchcraft like this is also called a ’Half-Soul Witchcraft,’ meaning it’s half Soul Witchcraft and half Divination Witchcraft."
The Artificial Soul came to another conclusion:
"Mr. Mo Ning, your soul is very special. I believe you will definitely be able to master *Thunder Shifting* in the future."
The "in the future" in that sentence was a clear implication—that he couldn’t master it just yet.
Mo Ning immediately understood the hidden meaning and asked, "What are the learning requirements for this Witchcraft?"
Flower answered quickly, "Different soul characteristics have different affinities for Thunder Power, so the requirements fall within a floating range: roughly 45 to 50 points of Spiritual Strength, and a Magic Pool between 800 and 1000 points."
Mo Ning had been thinking of giving it a try, but after hearing the requirements, he obediently gave up the notion. "Alright then."
If the Spiritual Strength gap were only around 5 points, he might have been able to master the Witchcraft through deep optimization.
But a gap as high as 40 points was a chasm that no amount of optimization could bridge.
In any case, the Leopard Fang Pendant was more than enough. Even if its durability was depleted, it could be restored by absorbing residual Spirituality from the Spiritual World.
The Quality of this pendant had now definitely been elevated to the Zhuoyue Equal Tier.
Mo Ning had another idea. ’I should find some time to study the pendant, use my knowledge of Magic Pattern Study to modify it, and further improve its Quality.’
The Leopard Fang Pendant’s transformation had been a natural evolution, so the operational efficiency of its Spiritual Power was most likely not very high—this was common knowledge for any Apprentice.
If he used a suitable Magic Pattern Group to reorganize its Spiritual Power and optimize the structure of its Magic Circuits, it wouldn’t be impossible to double the number of times the pendant could be used.
And that was the charm of Magic Pattern Study.
Of course, with his current knowledge, he didn’t yet have the ability to modify the pendant. He would need at least two more months of study.
Having mastered a new ability, the thought of ’practicing on some monsters’ once again stirred in Mo Ning’s mind. He asked eagerly:
"Flower, are there any other sizable Monster Tribes around the cabin?"
The Artificial Soul gave him a surprising answer:
"Mr. Mo Ning, there are ruins in the mountains forty kilometers from here. A group of Adventurers has recently taken an interest in them. Perhaps you’d be interested in taking a look."
Mo Ning was stunned for a moment, then it hit him like a flash of insight.
’I get it!’
’Those ruins are most likely one of the follow-up tests arranged by Lord Martin.’
Last time, when he destroyed the Screaming Goblin Tribe, he had found a Metal Token containing a "Maze Puzzle" next to the Evil God Altar.
After returning, he spent several hours studying it and found that the Maze Puzzle was quite difficult, far beyond his current abilities.
He had no choice but to borrow a few books on maze formulas from the Mirror Library, planning to study them slowly when he had time.
But his research wasn’t fruitless—he had basically determined that the Maze Puzzle pointed to a large-scale Maze Lock Magic.
Flower’s sudden mention of the ruins instantly triggered a memory.
Generally speaking, when constructing a Maze Lock Magic, one must set up several "lock points," which can be simply understood as the "foundations" supporting a building.
If the lock points are destroyed, the Maze Lock Magic will lose its support and slowly collapse.
And the ruins those Adventurers had entered were very likely one of those lock points.
Flower was worried the lock point would be destroyed, which was why it was asking him to go check on the situation.
Mo Ning agreed without hesitation. "Of course!"
He had received so many benefits from the former Dean that he could more or less call himself a student of Lord Martin. It was only natural that he do his best to help with such a small matter.
