Chapter 298: Chapter 32: Bountiful Harvest, Soul Spirit Water Digestion Complete

No. 43 Apprentice Town.

Apartment 68.

Mo Ning changed into the newly delivered Arbiter’s Black Robe and stood before a full-length mirror, studying his reflection with a curious expression.

The style of the Black Robe was largely similar to the novice’s blue robe and the Apprentice Grey Robe, but its material was of a much finer quality.

The fabric looked ordinary, but to the touch, it felt as smooth as silk.

The robe seemed to contain a special Spiritual Power, which made him feel a subtle sense of increased calm in his mind.

Unlike the grey robes, the Black Robe didn’t display one’s Apprentice Level. It had only two simple markings:

One marking was an exquisitely embroidered, small, dark-red sword on the collar, representing a regular Arbiter. The other was two small swords, representing a Senior Arbiter.

The former were almost all Second Level Apprentices. The word "almost" was used because there was now an "anomaly" like Mo Ning.

Before his name was registered on the "Sword of Judgment" list, there hadn’t been a single First Level Apprentice among the more than three thousand members of the entire Arbitration Court.

Although the Fourth Arbitration Institute had arranged the status of "Preparatory Arbiter" for him, he was still ranked within the Arbiter tier.

And with this status came benefits.

First, he would receive a monthly stipend of 50 Black Tower Points.

Second, when an Arbiter was on a mission for the academy, they were entitled to free treatment for any injuries sustained.

Even for non-mission-related injuries, internal benefits included a massive fifty-percent discount.

Third, Mo Ning received a dozen or so thick books from the Arbitration Institute.

They were all "internal training" materials from the Arbitration Court, explaining how to deal with various monsters, how to identify hidden Evil God Cultists, how to battle Dark Wizards, and so on.

To be honest, this was a pleasant surprise for Mo Ning.

Knowledge was wealth. If he were to borrow these from the Mirror Library, it would have cost him several hundred Black Tower Points at the very least.

A few of them, in particular, were about interrogation and torture—books that simply couldn’t be found in the library.

Anya and Reina sat at the wooden table on the large balcony, secretly watching Mo Ning in his Black Robe, the expressions on their pretty faces a mixture of complex emotions.

’A First Level Apprentice actually managed to join the Arbitration Court—is this world for real?!’

In their time as Mo Ning’s teammates, they had truly seen it all.

The Noble Lady thought for a moment, then suddenly chimed in, "Mo Ning, I have a suggestion."

Before she could finish, she saw Mo Ning turn around, an inquisitive look in his eyes.

The young man’s expression was as calm as ever, but paired with the distinctive Black Robe, his aura was noticeably stronger, causing her heart to beat a little faster.

Anya suppressed the fluttering in her heart and offered her suggestion:

"I think you should train in Qi and Blood Secret Skills, try to awaken your Qi and Blood, and become a Warrior."

The Noble Lady then began to elaborate, listing the many advantages of doing so:

"First, a Warrior with Qi and Blood Power has sharper Perception and improved reaction speed.

"This is crucial in battle. You’ll be able to spot enemies faster and react more quickly to attack or defend, significantly increasing your chances of survival on the battlefield.

"Second, while the power of Qi and Blood Combat Skills can’t compare to Level Zero Witchcraft, they might just save your life in a critical moment—like when your Magic Pool is nearly empty, or when you don’t have time to cast Witchcraft.

"Third, Qi and Blood Power greatly stimulates physical growth, giving you an exceptionally strong body.

"In harsh environments, this will allow you to endure for longer and give you a much greater chance of survival."

Mo Ning listened intently to his teammate’s explanation and nodded lightly. "You make a lot of sense."

He was convinced.

’After joining the Arbitration Court, I’ll inevitably face more danger. It wouldn’t be a bad thing to have another ace up my sleeve.’

A brilliant smile bloomed on Anya’s pretty face, creating the strange illusion that "the light in the living room had suddenly grown a little brighter":

"Whether it’s awakening Qi and Blood Power or mastering Qi and Blood Secret Skills, precise control is of the utmost importance.

"That is definitely your strong suit. I believe you should be able to awaken your Qi and Blood Power within... hmm, half a month."

The Noble Lady had originally wanted to say "a month," but she immediately recalled the incredible scene of "the entire Screaming Goblin Tribe getting headshot," and quickly changed it to "half a month."

’Such terrifying control was something she had never seen before—a month would be a gross underestimation of this young genius.’

Anya smiled again. "I’m a Black Iron Knight. I can start teaching you right now, personally guiding you and passing on all my experience. I’m sure it will help you awaken your Qi and Blood Power even faster."

Mo Ning saw it clearly: as the Noble Lady spoke those words, a faint blush crept onto her pretty face.

’That struck him as a bit odd—it was just about teaching Qi and Blood Power, so why was she blushing?’

Mo Ning thought for a moment and said, "How about you teach me tomorrow afternoon?"

’The Spiritual Power from the [Soul Spirit Water] hasn’t been fully digested yet. Today isn’t a good day to start learning.’

Anya gave a dazzling smile. "Okay."

Seizing the rare chance to instruct Mo Ning, the Noble Lady was exceptionally proactive. "I’ll go back and prepare a lesson plan first."

Reina stood up as well. "Mr. Mo Ning, I’ll go take care of the Spiritual Materials from the Goblin Tribe."

Thanks to her master-disciple relationship with Old Buck, Miss Dazed had access to a good trade channel, which was why Mo Ning had entrusted this matter to her.

Soon, the two young women left.

Mo Ning turned back to the black-robed figure in the mirror. The smile vanished from his face, replaced by an icy indifference.

He glanced a few more times, then whispered to himself, "This cold expression definitely matches the Black Robe best. Smiling just isn’t as cool."
