From Wizard Apprentice to Conqueror of Myriad Worlds
Chapter 295 - 31: Is Stopping an Evil God’s Descent a Job for a Level 1 Apprentice?
Chapter 295: Chapter 31: Is Stopping an Evil God’s Descent a Job for a Level 1 Apprentice?
"Understood!"
Flower replied cheerfully.
The two young women subconsciously glanced at each other, only then realizing they were witnessing something incredible.
For newcomers, this was indeed a major event.
Mo Ning issued another command to the Artificial Soul:
"Right. The Evil God’s descent was only halfway complete when I destroyed the Crystal Diamond. The consciousness that had seeped through suffered a fatal blow.
"The Evil God’s residual power may have attached itself to some of the Crystal Diamond fragments, forming a small number of items with extremely high research value. Can you find them?"
After the Will of the Evil God suffered a devastating blow, it would often form some peculiar contaminated items. This was something he had read about in certain notes.
And "extremely high research value" was just another way of saying "extremely valuable."
Because these items were exceptionally rare, their actual value was on another level.
An ignorant, ordinary Apprentice would have likely missed out on this windfall.
But these things were too dangerous. Mo Ning knew his own strength was meager and didn’t even entertain the thought of touching them himself.
The Artificial Soul was a creation of Lord Martin. Lacking a soul in the true sense of the word, it had no fear of contamination from the Will of the Evil God, making her the perfect searcher.
"Of course! I’d be delighted to be of service!"
Flower agreed readily.
The metal dragonfly skimmed rapidly across the ground, meticulously searching every corner of the area covered by the Crystal Diamond’s explosion.
Visually, it seemed to be constantly teleporting—one moment it was hovering next to a weed, the next it had landed at the foot of a birch tree.
Soon, Flower made her first discovery.
She exclaimed in a voice full of surprise and delight, "Mr. Mo Ning, your prediction was spot on! I’ve found a [Filthy Crystal] formed from the Will of the Evil God!"
The Artificial Soul added cheerfully, "This tiny little Filthy Crystal is worth at least 1,000 Black Tower Points!"
A smile immediately appeared on Mo Ning’s face.
’So this is called a [Filthy Crystal]? This stuff is rare. Trading it directly for Black Tower Points would be a huge loss.’
’He figured there must be more than one crystal, probably several more.’
’This unexpected encounter with the Evil God doesn’t seem so bad after all.’
The two young women were stunned when they heard the number "1,000 Black Tower Points."
Curious, they drew closer, cautiously maintaining a five-meter distance to observe the Filthy Crystal’s appearance.
This particular crystal was minuscule, less than one-twentieth the size of a pinky fingernail.
It was pitch-black and had a faint, illusory quality, as if it weren’t a physical object.
Extremely fine black threads continuously escaped from the crystal, swirled around it once, and then retracted back inside.
The two young women had only taken a single glance before their breathing unconsciously grew heavy, and a strange flush crept onto their faces.
Evidently, the strange aura emanating from the crystal had stimulated the desires hidden in their hearts.
Flower immediately manipulated the dragonfly’s claws, retracting the crystal into the storage space in its abdomen.
The Artificial Soul added a friendly reminder, "Your Spiritual Strength is too low. You’re very susceptible to the crystal’s influence, so it’s best not to look at it for too long."
The two young women snapped out of it, sharing a look of lingering fear. ℴℴ𝘮
Only then did they realize just how terrifying an Evil God was. A single, tiny crystal, tainted with a minuscule trace of the Evil God’s power, had been enough to make them nearly lose control.
It was unbelievable that Mo Ning had the power to stop an Evil God’s consciousness from descending upon this place.

「Black Tower Academy.」
「Third Black Tower, Arbitration Court.」
Anyone familiar with this powerful organization knew that the Arbitration Court was internally divided into several Arbitration Institutes, each with its own duties.
For instance, the First and Second Arbitration Institutes were dedicated to combating Dark Wizards and the Forbidden Sect, and were also the two most powerful institutes.
The Third and Fourth Arbitration Institutes, on the other hand, specialized in handling matters related to Evil Gods.
At that moment, First Level Wizard Lin Te was sitting in an office in the Fourth Arbitration Institute, quietly perusing the latest issue of the journal *Mystery*.
An exquisitely crafted little puppet, seemingly woven from metal threads, held the journal aloft, perfectly still. This allowed Lin Te to lean back comfortably in his chair without needing to look down.
Although in the eyes of outsiders, the Wizards of the Arbitration Court were a bunch of cold-blooded, Black Robe-clad murderers who spent their days pondering how to efficiently spread fear and death.
But this was a complete and utter stereotype.
The Wizards and Apprentices within the Arbitration Court spent far more time studying Divination than they did carrying out missions.
However, the Arbiters never bothered to correct these public misconceptions, as maintaining a fearsome and mysterious aura around the Arbitration Institutes was not a bad thing.
A few minutes later, Lin Te finished an article from the first section and shook his head slightly. ’The quality of *Mystery* these past few months feels a bit inferior to *Shine*.’
As a Lord Wizard, he naturally knew the reason why.
A few months ago, a First Level Apprentice from the academy, writing under the pen name "The River Flows Eastward," had suddenly appeared and submitted over twenty high-quality papers to *Shine* in quick succession.
A new submission every few days—this frightening "output" had truly shocked many people.
Two of them had even been featured on the cover of *Shine*, making him the first First Level Apprentice to receive such an honor since the journal’s inception.
After some discussion, the Reviewing Editors-in-Chief of *Shine* made a stunning decision—to make an exception and award the Golden Pen Badge to this Apprentice.
