Chapter 291: Chapter 30: Decent Spoils, a Chance to Create a Mo Ning Formula

Her teacher, Buck, had never mentioned anything about spatial projection. She had always assumed the scenery outside the window was just a realistic illusion created by some kind of Witchcraft.

Anya, however, was utterly shocked. "Can we really go in?"

She knew more about it, aware that the Great White Birch Forest was a real place, just extremely far from the academy.

Legend had it that a former dean of the academy had spent decades on a research project for a Third Level Witchcraft, and in the process, constructed a powerful Space Magic system for the academy.

The scenery outside the newcomers’ dormitories was one of the "byproducts" of that Space Magic.

Mo Ning smiled lightly and nodded. "Of course, we can!"

In front of the two girls, he activated the exquisite brooch and pushed open the door to the luxurious apartment.

What greeted them was no longer the dreamlike valley of Apprentice Town.

A crisp autumn breeze from the Birch Forest, carrying the distinct, cool scent of birch wood, howled into the spacious living room.

The two girls froze instantly, as if hit by a Petrification Technique, their minds reeling from an unprecedentedly powerful shock.

Mo Ning led the way, stepping into the Great White Birch Forest and appearing at the door of the Cabin in the Woods.

The spatial passage opened by [Walking into the Painting] lasted for two seconds, more than enough time to transport three people.

"Come on in,"

he called with a smile.

Anya and Reina snapped out of their stupor and followed him into the cabin, only to be shocked once again by the sight of a vast hall that was completely disproportionate to the building’s exterior.

Two feather dusters and a cleaning roller, as if having discovered their fated enemies, flew over to sweep the dust from the guests.

The two girls looked down at the roller, which was cheerfully rolling about, then their gazes drifted to the young man standing beside them. The same thought arose in both their minds:

’Is the academy Mo Ning attends really the same Wizard Academy as ours?’

’It really doesn’t seem like it!’

"Two beautiful young ladies, please have a glass of fresh Birch Juice, tapped just this morning."

Flower was a very competent butler, immediately presenting two glasses of the beverage.

The two girls were already aware of the existence of Artificial Souls, so they weren’t too surprised.

They accepted the Birch Juice and took a light sip, quite satisfied with its delicate flavor.

Afterwards, their gazes were drawn to and held by the most eye-catching furniture in the living room—the bookshelves.

One of the bookshelves held several hundred unusually thick tomes, but since the bookshelf itself was enormous, they didn’t stand out too much.

But the other bookshelf was a different story.

It was filled with neat stacks of perfectly bound manuscripts. A rough estimate put the number at over a thousand volumes.

Even if each volume was only a hundred-odd pages, the total would still be a staggering number in the hundreds of thousands.

Flower thoughtfully explained, "These are all the notes Mr. Mo Ning has taken during his studies since entering the academy."

It was as if an earthquake had gone off behind the two girls’ eyes.

’They had been enrolled for less than five months, and someone had already written this many manuscripts?’

’Just the cost of buying the blank scale pattern paper must have been an astronomical sum, right?’

Reina, ever the blunt one, directly asked the question on her mind, "Ms. Flower, how many pages of manuscripts are stored here in total?"

Flower replied in a cheerful tone, "As of an hour ago, a total of 192,544 pages. The cost of the scale pattern paper alone was several hundred Black Tower Points."

The enormous number was like a clap of thunder exploding in the two girls’ minds. Both pairs of beautiful eyes went wide as saucers.

The way they looked at Mo Ning was as if they were looking at something "not human."

Mo Ning’s gaze swept over the manuscript bookshelf. He didn’t usually think much of it, but seeing how much had accumulated without him realizing, even he felt it was a bit insane.

After a moment of thought, he generously opened up his precious treasury of knowledge to his two teammates:

"Aside from any manuscripts that might violate the Truth Oath, you can freely read any of these notes I’ve left behind."

Flower knew exactly which manuscripts couldn’t be shown to others, so he didn’t need to worry about it.

He did this, of course, with the intention of developing his teammates.

In an instant, brilliant smiles bloomed across the two girls’ pretty faces.

Naturally, they weren’t going to refuse.

They both understood that this promise not only meant a sea of knowledge, but also the power countless people yearned for, and even more so, a chance to change their destinies.

Countless people in the academy could only dream of such an opportunity, yet they had obtained it with ease.

Only a fool would refuse.

Anya thanked him with utmost sincerity, "Thank you, Mo Ning!"

Reina, on the other hand, went straight for the ultimate loyalty pledge: "Mr. Mo Ning, I will be loyal to you forever!"

The Dazed Girl then sighed with emotion. "This whole cabinet of manuscripts... I probably couldn’t finish reading it all in six or seven years."

Her silly little cowlick seemed to sense its owner’s mood, sticking up at an exaggerated angle.

Reina still found it hard to imagine that someone could write in less than a tenth of the time what would take her years to read.

Mo Ning watched the two girls with a smile, feeling the tiny bit of irritation that had just started to surface in his heart get instantly wiped away.

’This kind of "showing off" was a bit crude, but he had to admit, it was still very effective in certain situations.’

Anya had always been proactive. "Right, where is the Screaming Goblin Tribe? Let’s go gather Spiritual Materials now!"

Mo Ning gestured toward the door. "It’s a ways from the cabin. I’ll take you there."

This time, as he headed to the Monster Tribe with two beautiful girls by his side, feeling the wind wander through the Birch Forest and listening to the whispers of the leaves, his mood was entirely different.
