Chapter 286: Chapter 29: The Evil God Priest Appears, Mo Ning’s Crushing Attack

This Throwing Trick was extremely effective in the dense Birch Forest.

Most importantly, he was hidden in the dense forest, keeping him out of the monsters’ sight and ensuring his own safety.

He strongly suspected that being seen by a single goblin was the same as being seen by the Evil God Priest.

And the consequence of being seen would be the Priest sacrificing a goblin to inflict a vicious curse or contamination upon him.

’Otherwise, why would the Priest intentionally send so many goblins to their deaths?’

Above the forest, the metal dragonfly was cloaked, taking in everything on the battlefield with a panoramic view far beyond human capability.

Flower watched Mo Ning, a stream of admiration flowing through her consciousness:

’To achieve such accuracy with those Black Iron Pills from nearly a hundred meters away... that’s definitely the level of Magic Power control you’d expect from the most outstanding Second Level Apprentice.’

’On top of that, Mr. Mo Ning seems to have incredibly sharp battlefield instincts.’

’He’s anticipated the Evil God Priest’s every move. Now the Priest has been suppressed and can’t do a thing!’

The Artificial Soul happily graded her master’s performance:

’So far, it’s a definite five stars!’

A perfect five out of five!

To someone who didn’t understand strategy, this battle was an exceptionally brilliant display of Witchcraft.

But to someone who did, it was a glimpse into the brilliant intellectual game playing out behind the scenes.

Flower found herself recalling something Lord Martin once said:

"I believe that in battle, a truly outstanding Wizard should use the most meticulous thought and the most precise calculations to slowly tighten their grip on the enemy’s throat, leaving them to die in endless despair."

"I don’t consider those Wizards who need to take risky gambles to win, or who rely on clever schemes to turn the tables, to be particularly outstanding."

"For the latter, while they may seem to achieve victory on the surface, they are in fact taking a step closer to the abyss."

"They inevitably become more and more reliant on such dangerous strategies, even growing addicted to the thrill of dancing on the edge of the abyss."

"And sooner or later, when they encounter a more cunning enemy, those so-called brilliant strategies will become a noose in their enemy’s hands."

"The most laughable part is that they will willingly put their own necks into this noose, right up until the enemy uses it to hang them high."

Flower felt that Mr. Mo Ning was exactly the kind of "truly outstanding Wizard" Lord Martin had described.

The battlefield, shrouded in the thick stench of blood, fell silent for nearly three minutes.

Only the trademark shrieks of the Screaming Goblins occasionally drifted through the trees.

But some authority within the nest seemed to be forcefully restraining the noisy creatures, keeping their shrieks to a minimum.

Flower continued to watch her master’s every move.

She saw her master quietly reposition himself, moving from the three o’clock position relative to the nest to the nine o’clock position, and putting an additional twenty-plus meters between himself and the nest.

Meanwhile, the Leopard Shadow paced relentlessly near the nest, sometimes approaching, sometimes retreating, constantly fraying the enemy’s nerves.

Then, she saw Mo Ning frequently look up at the sky, using his fingers as a ruler to measure against the surrounding trees, apparently using them as reference points.

His actions were baffling.

But the well-traveled Flower understood instantly. ’My master is preparing to use high-angle projectiles to attack the goblin nest.’

It was, without a doubt, a very clever method of attack.

High-angle trajectories would allow for a much greater attack range. The Goblin Priest’s Evil Magic couldn’t possibly reach her master, leaving the Priest to be attacked with no way to retaliate.

’Faced with such an absolute disadvantage, how much longer can the Goblin Tribe hold out?’

The next second, Flower’s guess became reality.

Mo Ning took out three Blazing Fireballs and, once again using Powerful Curve Throw, launched them high into the sky.

This throw was exceptionally skillful.

He imbued each ball with a different fluctuation of Magic Power, causing them to fly at completely different angles.

Most notably, the instant they cleared the canopy, they suddenly changed direction.

Anyone trying to calculate the thrower’s position from these parabolic arcs would be wildly inaccurate.

Furthermore, the three completely different trajectories would create another piece of misdirection: that there were three throwers.

Flower noticed this immediately and couldn’t help but laugh. ’Such a cunning master!’

With this cunning little trick, Mo Ning completely concealed his position.

’The Evil God Priest might be powerful, but how could he fight an enemy whose location he didn’t even know?’

The three Blazing Fireballs soared through the sky for a moment before plunging back into the canopy.

With jaw-dropping precision, the three small spheres passed through the "net" of branches without touching a single twig, striking the Screaming Goblins’ nest from different directions.

Watching this, Flower couldn’t help but offer another word of praise. ’So precise!’

She saw in it the height of calculation and precision.

It was a seemingly simple throw, yet it was a feat that even a Third Level Apprentice would find difficult to accomplish.

The combination of the two created a completely one-sided, crushing attack.

The so-called "nest" was actually a cluster of conical huts.

They were built by layering a hodgepodge of materials—mud, branches, stones—held together by a viscous liquid the goblins concocted as an adhesive.

Beneath the nest, a network of crisscrossing tunnels had also been dug, supported by wood and stone beams to prevent collapse.
