Chapter 443: Chapter 227: A Little Too Proactive

The international terminal was a real eye-opener for Su Chen and his group. It was only three stories tall with a sky-blue exterior. If they hadn’t just walked out of the building themselves, they would have never guessed it was an airport terminal.

It looked no different from an ordinary apartment building.

What was even more surprising was that the exit of the international terminal opened directly onto a city street. There were no taxis or airport shuttles waiting at the entrance.

"Uh... you didn’t arrange for a car to pick us up?" Xiao Chen asked curiously.

Su Chen shrugged. "Nope. The farm is about a hundred kilometers from here, so arranging a pickup would’ve been a hassle. I figured we could just buy two or three SUVs, drive ourselves, and enjoy the scenery along the way!"

"You’re the rich one, you call the shots!" Xiao Chen shrugged helplessly. ’All I have to do is enjoy the ride.’

With that, they hailed two taxis on the roadside and headed straight for the largest car dealership in Irkutsk.

The airport was near the suburbs, only about ten kilometers from the city center, so it wasn’t far. Plus, with hardly any private cars on the road, Su Chen and his group arrived at the largest dealership in Irkutsk in less than twenty minutes.

Staring at the dealership’s glass-walled building, everyone was curious. ’What kind of luxury cars could be inside?’

But when they stepped inside and saw the cars on display, they were all dumbfounded.

The showroom was filled with Chinese cars from brands like Haval, Chery, and Geely. The prices were also incredibly high. Su Chen glanced at a display placard; most cars were priced at several million Rubles.

He did a quick mental calculation. That came out to hundreds of thousands of RMB, nearly double their price back home.

"So, what’s the verdict, Young Master Su? Still buying?" Xiao Chen teased from the side.

Hearing that title, Su Chen felt an overwhelming urge to roll his eyes.

Just then, a beautiful saleswoman approached them. She was a young, authentic Russian woman, whose figure and looks needed no description. Dressed in a standard saleswoman’s short skirt, her long, fair legs, which looked like they could squeeze a man to death, were truly attracting a lot of stares.

The sound of someone gulping audibly came from behind Su Chen and Xiao Chen. They turned to see the four of them—Tian, Di, Xuan, and Huang—staring intently at the sexy Russian woman.

Seeing their expressions, Xiao Chen shot the four of them an irritated glare. The men shuddered and immediately lowered their heads.

Xiao Chen had been about to scold them, but then he remembered they spent all their time either training or on missions. They really didn’t have much time to get out and see the world, so he could understand their reaction.

’There’s a saying that after three years in the army, even a sow starts to look as beautiful as a goddess. It’s only natural to stare a bit when faced with a gorgeous Russian woman with a curvy figure and long legs.’ After all, he’d taken a few glances himself.

The saleswoman walked up and greeted them enthusiastically. Unfortunately, Su Chen was the only one in the group who could understand Russian, so the others could only stand by and listen to their conversation.

After a brief exchange, Su Chen voiced the question that was nagging him: why weren’t there any luxury cars from brands like Mercedes, BMW, or Audi?

The answer he received stunned him. There were basically no dealerships in Bear Country selling those cars anymore. The reason was simple: sanctions imposed by the alliance led by the Bald Eagle.

Luxury car brands like Mercedes, BMW, and Audi had all gradually pulled out of Bear Country. Currently, besides their own domestic brands, the best-selling vehicles were imports from Huaxia.

This was the first time Su Chen had experienced the impact of sanctions so directly. He had heard about the Bald Eagle sanctioning various companies and groups back home, but it had never really registered with him. You couldn’t truly grasp the feeling until you encountered it yourself.

Led by the saleswoman, they toured the entire dealership. The selection of Chinese cars was impressive; they seemed to have every well-known brand from back home, with a wide variety of models available.

In the end, after a brief discussion with Xiao Chen, they decided to buy three Haval H7s. The main reasons were their spacious interiors and decent horsepower. The three vehicles cost Su Chen nearly twenty million Rubles—more than a million RMB!

Back home, that much money could buy a Mercedes G-Wagen.

Su Chen’s generosity made the saleswoman’s eyes practically glow. While they were signing the contracts, she became even more forward, taking Su Chen by surprise by provocatively rubbing her long, pale leg against his under the table.

’They say foreigners are particularly forward.’ If Su Chen hadn’t been through his fair share of... stimulating situations... and managed to suppress the flutter in his chest, he was sure Xiao Chen would be laughing at him today.

The paperwork was completed with surprising speed. It took less than an hour to process everything.

Amusingly, as they were leaving, the sexy saleswoman openly handed Su Chen a slip of paper. Written on it were a string of numbers and the words, "Waiting for you!"

You didn’t need to be a genius to know it was her personal phone number. The sight left Xiao Chen speechless. He leaned in close to Su Chen and whispered, "Why don’t we stay in Irkutsk for the night? Let you... you know, relax a bit."

"Get outta here. You make it sound like I’m desperate!" Su Chen protested verbally, but he casually slipped the note into his pocket.

Xiao Chen, of course, saw this. The corners of his mouth just twitched into a slight smile, but he didn’t say anything more. ’If he has the charm (and the money) to make beautiful women throw themselves at him, well, that’s a talent in its own right.’

"Let’s find somewhere to get something to eat."

They had eaten a light meal on the plane at noon, but it was barely enough to tide them over. He wasn’t sure about the others, but Su Chen was starting to feel hungry.

As the three new cars slowly pulled out of the dealership, Su Chen, on some strange impulse, glanced back. His eyes met those of the beautiful saleswoman, who enthusiastically made a "call me" gesture at him.
