Chapter 338: Chapter 192: Tsk, Tsk, Tsk, I’m So Amazing

"Young Master Arthur, this Mr. Su’s identity information appears to be specially encrypted. Even the family’s professional intelligence team was only able to find scattered pieces of information." A flicker of surprise crossed Fleur’s eyes as she spoke.

The Morgan family was known as the world’s creditor, with incredibly far-reaching business interests. Yet now, trying to investigate one person, they had only managed to find a few scraps of information, nothing detailed at all.

How could this not shock her? Only after getting a glimpse of the Morgan family’s true, immense scale did one realize that what the public saw was just the tip of the iceberg. She was no exception.

But now, with this Mr. Su, they had hit a brick wall.

Arthur took the tablet from Fleur. The screen displayed the results of their investigation. Su Chen’s file was remarkably simple.

Apart from his name, Su Chen, the only thing they knew was that he was the ultimate boss behind IPS. And even that was only confirmed after reports from their subordinates led to a thorough investigation.

"How very interesting," Arthur murmured, the corners of his lips curling up slightly.

The Morgan family had been operating from behind the scenes for many years, rarely making public appearances. For the most part, proxies handled the affairs of the Morgan Group.

The only reason Arthur had come forward this time was because the information reported from within the group had piqued the family patriarch’s interest in this Su Chen. That, combined with the importance of the new weak artificial intelligence technology, was why the family had specifically dispatched him to handle the matter...

And, on the side, to befriend Su Chen. After all... one can never have too many friends.

Just then, Jiang Hui emerged from the villa with two security guards. Seeing this, Fleur, who was in the passenger seat, opened her door and stepped out. From their prior investigation, she naturally knew this middle-aged man was Jiang Hui, Mr. Su’s personal steward.

Arthur watched silently as Fleur and Jiang Hui spoke at the door. After about twenty seconds, Fleur strode back to the car window.

"What did he say?" Arthur asked, his tone flat as he lowered the window.

"He said that Mr. Su left early this morning with some people. He offered to call him if necessary. Young Master, what do you think...?"

Arthur glanced at the diamond-encrusted watch on his wrist. It was 11:20. He turned his head and said, "Let’s set a time. Three in the afternoon!"

With that, Arthur raised the car window.

Upon hearing this, Fleur turned back to Jiang Hui. After confirming the time, she returned to the car and got in.

After the convoy of luxury cars had departed, Jiang Hui immediately pulled out his phone and called Su Chen.

At that moment, Su Chen’s face was flushed as he struggled to brace the fishing rod against his waist. The rod was bent far beyond a simple arc; the massive fish in the sea was about to pull it in half.

"Damn it, this fish is way too strong," Su Chen cursed, but inwardly, he was ecstatic.

’If I can just land this huge fish, the sense of accomplishment... it’ll be off the charts!’

"The sky, an azure hue, awaits the misty rain, and I am waiting for you... Your chimney smoke drifts and rises, beyond a river a thousand miles wide..."

The sudden ringing of the phone in his pocket made Su Chen’s grip falter for a second, and the massive fish nearly dragged him into the water. Fortunately, the quick-eyed Raymond, who was standing by, grabbed Su Chen just in time, helping him regain his balance.

Su Chen knew that the only person who would call at a time like this was Jiang Hui, back at the mountainside villa. It had to be something important. He figured, as expected, that the people from Morgan and BlackRock had arrived.

He glanced at Chen Fei, who was standing nearby, and said, "Get the phone."

Chen Fei hurried forward and pulled the phone from Su Chen’s pocket. After a glance at the caller ID, Su Chen identified the caller as Steward Jiang, and Chen Fei answered.

"Yes... yes... I understand. I’ll tell Mr. Su right away." The call lasted less than a minute.

Su Chen didn’t ask, and Chen Fei didn’t elaborate. They both knew the most critical task at hand was landing the massive fish. As for that other business... it could wait.

About ten minutes passed in a flash. Su Chen’s whole body was starting to feel like jelly, but thankfully, the massive fish had finally surfaced.

When everyone saw what the fish looked like, they all cried out in amazement.

"Holy shit, it’s a giant grouper!"

It was nearly the size of a grown man, with a mouth so large it looked like it could swallow a person whole.

Two crewmen worked together to gaff the giant grouper. It took every ounce of their strength to haul it onto the deck.

"Good heavens, this thing must weigh at least two or three hundred pounds!" Chen Fei’s jaw dropped.

Su Chen gazed at the giant grouper on the deck, his smile growing even wider.

’Heh heh... I really am something else. When I get back, I’ve got to show this off to them!’

After posing for several photos with one foot on the giant grouper, Su Chen instructed the crew to bleed it and put it in the ice hold so it wouldn’t spoil before they got back to shore.

He was, after all, planning a full grouper feast for that evening.

After freshening up, Su Chen lounged on the sofa and finally remembered the earlier phone call. He looked over at Chen Fei and asked, "So, what did Old Jiang want?"

"Sir, Steward Jiang said the people from Morgan have arrived. And what’s more, it’s a direct heir from the Morgan family!"

At these words, a flicker of surprise crossed not only Su Chen’s eyes but Raymond’s as well. The Morgans had long since retreated behind the scenes; it was unexpected that they would personally step forward again just for a matter of weak artificial intelligence.

Su Chen stroked his chin. "And the people from Morgan?"

"The call said that since you weren’t there, Sir, they’ve already left. They scheduled a meeting for three this afternoon!" Chen Fei replied hastily.

Su Chen nodded, then looked at Raymond. "Let’s head back."

"Yes, Boss!" Raymond immediately left the cabin to tell the crew to head back.

The fishing boat’s engine soon rumbled to life, and they began the journey back. Su Chen’s gaze passed through the window toward San Francisco as he muttered under his breath, "The Morgan people are here. What about the people from BlackRock?"

In the Transamerica Pyramid, at the branch office of BlackRock, Charles was currently organizing a meeting. The main topic on the agenda, of course, was how to acquire Longteng Technology.

But he never would have imagined that the people from Morgan had already beaten them to it, and had already scheduled a meeting with Su Chen.
