"Yeah, right. Does crying make you a victim? They’re the ones who did something wrong, but now they’re acting like they’re the ones who got hurt. It’s ridiculous."

"Infringing on portrait rights is illegal..."

"Tangerine Live, you better pay our girl’s appearance fee."

"I’ve heard of Tangerine Live. Isn’t that the platform where streamers are always getting into trouble? That one influencer who got banned used to be on Tangerine Live."

"When is the government going to clean up all this filth online?"

But despite all this, many dissenting voices still appeared online.

"Look, I know those people were in the wrong, but was it really necessary for Jasper Shaw to just throw them out and smash their camera? Is that polite?"

"And shouldn’t Chloe Sinclair give us an explanation? The fans have been waiting for so long. She presented the evidence, and then nothing?"

"If I were the one being interviewed, I’d be thrilled."

"Exactly. It’s just an interview. It’s not like she hasn’t done livestreams before. Who is she putting on this act for?"

"So Chloe Sinclair should be the one apologizing now, right?"

"Fuck you. I’m a fan of our girl, so don’t lump me in with this. I respect her decision. As a fan, I’m not going to guilt-trip my idol."

"Well said. Tangerine Live led the charge in digging up painful memories. How is that polite? Our girl said a long time ago that she refuses to do livestreams or any kind of interview without her consent. It’s obvious those people were the ones in the wrong."

"Those few people above me saying Chloe Sinclair and Jasper Shaw are in the wrong are well-known paid shills. They’ve bad-mouthed plenty of other people before."

"Dumbasses. If you’re going to trash talk, at least use a burner. You’re just making your idol look bad."

...

Online, the fans and haters were in a complete uproar.

When you laid all the facts out, it was clear that the reporters and cameramen were in the wrong.

Naturally, there was a lot of condemnation for them online.

After Jasper Shaw returned to his office, he had Ian Winters deal with all the companies whose people he’d thrown out.

Less than an hour later, sharp-eyed netizens discovered that several of those companies had either been acquired or gone bankrupt.

Tangerine Live, in particular, was hit with a compensation claim for thirty million.

Suddenly, every clickbait account that had ever slandered Chloe Sinclair began to fear for their own survival.

But the fans thought it was fantastic.

"Haha, Boss Shaw did a great job."

"You can bully me, but bully my wife? Not a chance."

"Chairman Shaw is total boyfriend goals!"

"As expected of a publicly traded company. Their efficiency is insane! It hasn’t even been an hour since it happened, and they’ve already taken down so many companies."

"Umm, am I the only one wondering just how much money Jasper Shaw has? Last year’s financial report said his personal assets exceeded three hundred billion. I’m finding that a little hard to believe."

"Damn, that much?"

"Which financial report? I want to see it too."

"Sis, I just went and looked. The Financial Daily is a reputable domestic newspaper, so it’s unlikely to be fake. Jasper Shaw’s assets must be real."

"In that case, Jasper Shaw is seriously impressive. And that was last year’s number. This year, the robots and over a dozen patents launched by the Shaw Group have all become profitable. If all goes as expected, he’s going to make a killing this year."

"Hey, person above me, can you analyze how much Chairman Shaw made this year?"

"Impossible to estimate..."

"The person above is full of it. If his wealth doubled, would that make Jasper Shaw the richest man in the country? He’s only thirty this year. Is that even possible?"

"Uh, to the person above, I’m not exaggerating. Jasper Shaw’s fortune is really on another level..."

"So what if he earns a lot? Our girl is still the one who controls the money [doge face]."

"Bullshit. It’s obvious Chairman Shaw only gets five hundred bucks a month for allowance."

"More bullshit! It’s only a hundred bucks!"

The online conversation instantly shifted from how much Jasper Shaw’s assets were worth to how much his monthly allowance was.

It got more and more ridiculous, with people claiming Jasper Shaw had to submit a request to Chloe Sinclair just to buy something.

Seeing these comments, Chloe Sinclair’s mood improved considerably. She showed all the bizarre remarks from the netizens to Jasper Shaw.

"Chloe, if you want, I can write you a request every month when I need to buy something."

Chloe Sinclair froze, her face suddenly flushing beet red. "I don’t need that," she mumbled.

Then, she glanced at Jasper Shaw again. "Just do your own work. Why are you staring at me?"

She had been in his office for over an hour. Aside from when he first had Ian Winters come in to discuss something, Jasper Shaw had been staring at her the entire time.

He hadn’t signed a single word on the dozens of contracts in front of him.

A hint of a smile in his eyes, Jasper Shaw said earnestly, "Because you’re beautiful."

The young woman’s face had fully blossomed. Beneath her slightly wavy hair, her eyes were dark and clear, her nose was high and straight, and her red lips had a plump quality to them. The contours of her face formed a spellbinding line.

He couldn’t take his eyes off Chloe Sinclair’s every move.

Jasper Shaw stared straight at her and said again, "How is my wife so beautiful?"

The man’s voice was deep, as captivating and alluring as a deep, ancient well.

Chloe Sinclair’s face flushed slightly, and she actually felt a little shy.

’In her last life, Jasper Shaw would never have dared to praise her like this.’

’Back then, she didn’t like him. After marrying into the Shaw Family, she’d unilaterally given him the cold shoulder for several whole years.’

’If Jasper Shaw hadn’t been so good to her, any other man would have probably killed her.’

’The more she thought about it, the more she felt she had been way too unreasonable in her past life.’

She looked at Jasper Shaw, a trace of apology in her eyes.

After a moment’s thought, Chloe Sinclair felt she should praise him in return. "Jasper, you’re very handsome, too," she said. "Lots of girls stare at you every time you walk into the company."

Chloe Sinclair wasn’t jealous; she was giving him a sincere compliment.

’Even ten years from now, there would still be no shortage of women who wanted to be Jasper Shaw’s.’

’It just showed how immense Jasper Shaw’s charm was.’

However, Jasper Shaw misunderstood.

Panic flashed across his face. He quickly stood up from his office chair, walked over to the young woman’s side, and knelt on both knees. "Chloe, you have to believe me," he said seriously. "You’re the only girlfriend I have."

Before, he would occasionally go out for a couple of drinks with friends, but now he rarely agreed to go out.

Seeing Chloe Sinclair remain silent, Jasper Shaw truly thought she’d misunderstood. He spoke again, "Believe me, the receptionists are all handled by the HR department. In all these years, I don’t even know what they look like. I would never have any contact with them. If you’re worried, I’ll have them..."

Before he could finish, Chloe Sinclair covered his mouth with her hand.

"What if I’m still worried? Are you going to make them all quit?"

Chloe Sinclair cut Jasper Shaw off, her tone somewhat stern. "It’s not easy for those young women to find a job. If they haven’t broken any rules, you absolutely cannot fire them."

Jasper Shaw paused for a moment.

’He had actually been about to say he’d transfer them elsewhere and replace the receptionists with men.’

But seeing that Chloe Sinclair had misunderstood, Jasper Shaw kept his mouth shut.
