For a moment, Ms. Mayfield looked at Gabriel Sinclair, at a complete loss for words.

She had heard Gabriel Sinclair’s songs, so she naturally understood what was really going on.

And because of that, she was even more worried.

The online attacks and vitriol were flooding in like a tidal wave. They were large-scale and organized—clearly prepared in advance.

That was precisely why it had caught them so off guard.

"Gabriel, try to find a backup of the song. It’s the only way to prove you didn’t plagiarize."

Hearing this, Gabriel Sinclair’s face fell.

"Ms. Mayfield, you know my habits. How could I possibly have a backup?"

Even the draft papers he used to write the song were gone now.

At his words, Ms. Mayfield frowned.

This really complicated things.

Meanwhile, on Weibo, Gabriel Sinclair’s post instantly fired up his fans.

Everyone was eagerly waiting for Gabriel Sinclair to produce evidence and put the haters in their place.

In the comments section—

"Our guy is as badass as ever!"

"Who said our idol wouldn’t respond? Well, here it is. Are you satisfied now?"

"’Plagiarize my ass?’ I’m 100% sure Gabriel Sinclair posted that himself."

"Ms. Mayfield is probably having a heart attack right now."

"I just want to ask Nina Sinclair, how does it feel to be proven wrong? Hahaha."

"I bet she’s going to eat her words."

"Our idol is incredibly talented. He’s released dozens of original songs since his debut, and every single one is a classic. Nina Sinclair can’t compare for shit."

"As a neutral observer, I’m following the drama on both sides. I don’t know the full story, but I still prefer Gabriel Sinclair’s voice. His humming is just so full of emotion."

"So it’s not just me. I jumped on the bandwagon and bought Nina Sinclair’s album too. I didn’t think there was anything majorly wrong with her voice or the lyrics, but when she sang, it just felt like something was missing."

"Same here. Nina Sinclair’s songs are about the love stories of one’s tender youth, but her delivery always sounds so out of place to me. With Gabriel Sinclair’s voice, though, I hear a kind of warmth that has nothing to do with romance."

Gabriel Sinclair’s aggressive response immediately brought the incident to a boiling point.

However, everyone waited for hours, but nothing more came from Gabriel Sinclair.

The fans were dumbfounded, and the anti-fans started running wild.

"Hahaha, how’s that for getting proven wrong? Your idol is all talk. If he really had evidence, shouldn’t he have released it by now? Why is he still hiding in his shell?"

"I’m dying! He just drops a ’plagiarize my ass’ and that’s it? Your idol is something else, isn’t he!"

"I couldn’t stand Gabriel Sinclair from the start. A while back, my favorite actor was in a show with him. He was a newcomer and wasn’t used to the atmosphere on set, so he accidentally held everyone up for a bit. Our side apologized, but Gabriel Sinclair chewed him out mercilessly. Come on, even the director didn’t say anything at the time."

"Hahaha, isn’t that just classic Gabriel? I feel so bad for your guy."

"Gabriel Sinclair’s career is probably toast."

"The day his career dies, I’m setting off firecrackers to celebrate!"

Gabriel Sinclair didn’t sleep all night.

His PR team was working hard to manage the comments, but more and more neutral parties were starting to join the attack.

Ms. Mayfield also instructed the fans in the fan groups to lay low for now, telling them they were still gathering evidence.

She didn’t want them getting sued for defamation.

The fans, of course, obeyed and all logged off Weibo.

"Ms. Mayfield, don’t you think these anti-fans are sick in the head?"

In the middle of the night, Gabriel Sinclair was still scrolling through the comments on his Weibo. Reading the baseless, fabricated remarks made him fly into a rage.
