The look on his face couldn’t have been more smug.

Still, since dinner was sorted, they were naturally happy.

Each person grabbed their own bowl and chopsticks and headed to the villa.

Nina Sinclair was the last one to be informed.

When Gabriel arrived, Nina was washing some vegetables.

He was a little surprised.

After all, he never expected that the person he had the least confidence in had actually found something to eat.

But then he spotted a familiar color in the basin and narrowed his eyes.

"Wait!"

Gabriel walked over and asked, "Where did you find these mushrooms?"

The mushrooms in Nina’s hands felt familiar to him, but he couldn’t quite place them.

"I found these by the creek in the village."

Nina said proudly, "I’ll treat everyone to dinner."

She had picked a whole basketful.

She’d originally planned to eat them all herself, but since her online reputation was so bad, she changed her mind and decided to invite everyone to eat with her.

Gabriel stared at the red caps. A memory flashed through his mind, and then he slapped his forehead in sudden realization.

"This stuff is poisonous, you idiot!"

The smile on Nina’s face slowly vanished as she stared at him in disbelief.

"That’s impossible!"

Gabriel chanted, "Little red cap, little white stem, eat your fill and you’ll lie with the dead..."

He instantly recalled the rhyme his little sister had sung to him before.

After reciting it, he shuddered.

"Just throw them out."

"But..."

Gabriel said, "Don’t worry. My sister is cooking today. You won’t go hungry."

Hearing this only made Nina feel more aggrieved.

Meanwhile, when the production team heard that a guest had found poisonous mushrooms and was planning to eat them, they rushed to find a local villager to ask about them. The villagers all confirmed that it was a common type of local poisonous mushroom.

When Nina heard that, a wave of fear washed over her.

’Thank God I didn’t eat any... Otherwise...’

Although she didn’t want to go eat somewhere else, she hadn’t had a single bite to eat since the ’robbery’ incident at lunch, and now she was practically starving.

After a long internal struggle, she finally followed Gabriel to the villa.

Everyone arrived at the villa at roughly the same time. By then, a delicious aroma was already wafting from the kitchen.

Yara Garrison glanced at the kitchen curiously and asked in surprise, "Chloe Sinclair can cook?"

"Yep." Hearing the surprise in her voice, Gabriel looked toward his sister and lifted his chin proudly, as if he were the one being praised.

"My sister is a great cook. She doesn’t do it very often, so we’re really in for a treat."

Back when they were in Kennet, Chloe had cooked once or twice, and the whole family had raved about it.

Unfortunately, he was out of town on those occasions and never got to try it.

He only knew how good it was from what his dad and his older brother told him.

He had been so jealous back then.

But today, with his dad and older brother nowhere in sight, he was the only one who would get to taste his little sister’s cooking.

Gabriel was practically giddy.

He snuck to the kitchen entrance, took out his phone to snap a picture, and then sent it to the ’A Loving Family’ group chat.

The chat immediately blew up.

A Loving Family

Pops [Why aren’t you helping? What if your little sister cuts her hand while cooking?]

Big Bro [Take care of your sister on the show. Don’t make your little sister always take care of you.]

Second Bro [No wonder Little Sis isn’t answering my texts. So she went to be on a variety show. @Gabriel Sinclair, what are you doing just standing in the doorway? Get to work! What kind of brother makes his little sister do all the cooking?]
