He must have been processing the whole thing.

It wasn’t until Chloe Sinclair glanced at the time and said, "Gabriel, I’ll take you out to find some food."

"Where would there be any food?"

Gabriel Sinclair had already spent the entire afternoon searching. Forget meat; he hadn’t even found a single vegetable leaf.

"Forget it. I asked Simon Lawson, and he told me the production team is providing breakfast tomorrow morning."

With that, Gabriel Sinclair stood up and said regretfully, "I’ll just get up at eight tomorrow. I can go to bed early tonight so I won’t feel hungry."

Chloe Sinclair was speechless.

She grabbed Gabriel Sinclair, who had already walked through the door intending to lie down and play dead until morning, and pulled him back.

"I have a way."

Chloe Sinclair led Gabriel Sinclair to the edge of a small stream. "There are fish and crabs in here," she said.

The stream was surrounded by a lush, dense bamboo forest.

The thick bamboo, combined with the dimming light, made it hard to see any movement in the water clearly.

However, you could still make out the pebbles at the bottom.

Chloe Sinclair overturned a rock and happened to find a crab.

"See?"

Gabriel Sinclair’s eyes lit up, and he quickly handed her the bucket he was holding.

Before long, the two of them had caught a good number of crabs and fish.

As they were about to leave, Gabriel Sinclair spotted a cluster of mushrooms growing by a crack in the rocks. They looked vibrant and tempting, and he swallowed hard. "Chloe," he proposed, "how about we pick some of these mushrooms to take back? I heard the mushrooms in Yarrow are especially fragrant."

Chloe Sinclair followed Gabriel Sinclair’s gaze.

Little red caps, little white stems.

Good grief. The sight of those mushrooms instantly reminded her of that addictively catchy song from ten years in the future.

Seeing Gabriel Sinclair leaning in so close his eyes were almost touching them, Chloe Sinclair could only tug on her brother’s sleeve and say helplessly, "Those are poisonous."

Gabriel Sinclair scratched his head. "How do you know?"

Chloe Sinclair, however, simply turned to face him, her expression calm and serious.

Then, she opened her mouth and sang the jingle from a viral video that would be popular ten years from now.

"Red little cap, white little stem... eat it and we all lie stiff then..."

"Pfft!"

Gabriel Sinclair couldn’t hold it in and burst out laughing, covering his mouth.

Seeing Chloe Sinclair’s deadpan expression made him laugh even harder.

"Chloe, who taught you that? That song is so addictively catchy."

He had somehow memorized it after hearing it just once.

As they left, Gabriel Sinclair glanced back at the patch of red mushrooms, still a bit reluctant to leave them behind.

’They look so pretty. Why can’t we eat them?’

The two returned to the villa, their harvest for the day quite bountiful.

Once in the kitchen, Chloe Sinclair started by washing the crabs and fish they had caught.

A thought occurred to her, and she suddenly turned her head. "Gabriel, go invite the other guests over."

She had a feeling that none of the others had managed to find any food.

They had found crabs and fish today, probably weighing around ten pounds in total.

They couldn’t finish it all anyway, so they might as well invite everyone.

"Invite Nina Sinclair, too."

Just as Gabriel Sinclair reached the door, Chloe Sinclair suddenly added a reminder.

She was certain that if she didn’t specifically mention it, her brother wouldn’t even think to invite Nina Sinclair.

Although she didn’t like Nina Sinclair either, they were on a live stream. She didn’t want to give those clickbait accounts any ammunition. Besides, it wasn’t as if they couldn’t spare the food for one more person, so inviting her was fine.

After her reminder, Gabriel Sinclair, who wasn’t stupid, immediately understood Chloe Sinclair’s intentions.

The other guests weren’t far away. They were all in the same village, just a short walk from each other.

Just as he expected, none of them had found any food and had been planning to skip dinner that night.

Everyone was stunned for a moment when Gabriel Sinclair invited them over to eat.

"Gabriel, where did you guys find food?"

Gabriel Sinclair said, quite proudly, "My sister found it."
