It wasn’t just him; even Frank Hayes and Hailey Beckett’s faces fell.

"But we sold so much before." Gabriel pondered for a long while, unable to figure out how they’d lost money.

Chloe said grimly, "But your lowest price before was thirty cents."

Then, Chloe said, "Let’s go. We’ll meet up first. I have a way to earn your money back."

The three men exchanged a look and all nodded.

Since there were only a few dozen pounds of radishes left, it was easy to carry them all at once.

Chloe didn’t help them. After saying her piece, she returned to her own stall and loaded her remaining radishes onto the truck.

When the rest of them arrived, they saw Chloe looking as if she was ready to leave.

"Chloe, you still have so much left. You’re not thinking of going back, are you?"

Nina glanced at the three full baskets of produce still on the truck and felt a sense of smug satisfaction.

’Even if I don’t get to eat the big meal the production team prepared today, Chloe won’t get to either!’

But Chloe couldn’t even be bothered to spare her a glance, simply saying, "We’re going to drive somewhere else and see."

"Somewhere else? Why not stay here?"

Chloe didn’t really want to ride in that kind of vehicle.

The ride over had been so bumpy she had almost thrown up her breakfast from that morning.

She glanced at the time and suggested, "Why don’t we go get something to eat first?"

They had spent over four hours at the market today, and the entire place was filled with the reek of rotting meat, an overpowering stench.

That was why Nina had gone out for a walk by herself and only just returned; she couldn’t stand the strange smells of the market.

It was already almost one o’clock, and she hadn’t even had a single sip of water.

"No."

Chloe rejected the idea without a second thought.

She shot Nina a frosty look, raised an eyebrow, and asked, "Do you have money?"

Nina replied matter-of-factly, "Didn’t we make a lot of money today?"

"That’s not our money."

Today’s task was to help the village farmers sell their radishes.

Many households in the village grew radishes, but this year they were short-staffed and couldn’t sell them. If a few more days passed, the radishes would be even harder to sell.

By then, who knows how much money they would lose.

"We can’t touch a single cent without their permission."

A few of them had originally planned to take some money for a bite to eat, but after hearing what Chloe said, they quickly came to their senses.

"Right, this is the farmers’ money. We can’t touch a single cent."

With that, all eyes turned to the bag in Nina’s hand.

Gabriel paused, then said, "Let’s just bear with it for now. The production team won’t leave us without lunch."

Hailey Beckett also chimed in, "Chloe’s right. There’s hardly anyone left at the market now. Staying here won’t solve anything. We might as well go look elsewhere. If we really can’t sell them, we’ll figure something else out."

The radishes might not have looked pretty, but they were only ugly on the surface.

Meanwhile, Yara Garrison and Jessica Ford already had complete faith in Chloe.

The group got into the truck, leaving only Nina Sinclair standing below.

"Nina Sinclair, are you getting in or not? If you don’t, we’re leaving."

Nina gritted her teeth and reluctantly climbed into the truck.

Chloe got her phone from a staff member, checked a route, and after a thirty-minute drive, they arrived at a tourist area.

The area was a famous ancient town in Yarrow Province. Even though it was already one o’clock, the place was still bustling with an endless stream of people.

Gabriel’s eyes lit up. "My sister really has the best ideas! With so many people here, there’s no way we won’t find buyers, right?"

However, Chloe just shook her head.

She got out of the truck and had someone hand her a radish.

"Everyone here is a tourist. Who’s going to buy your radishes?"

With that, Chloe walked into the ancient town.

Gabriel quickly jumped out of the truck and ran after her, asking, "Then what are we doing here?"

Seeing the two of them walk off, the rest of the group followed.

Then, the group realized that Chloe had led them to a specialty shop that made pickled dried radishes.

Chloe was clearly at home in market settings. After entering the shop, she scanned her surroundings and immediately identified the owner.

She walked up to him and asked point-blank, "Sir, does your shop need radishes?"

The owner, who had been looking down at his phone, subconsciously shook his head at the sound of her voice. But when he looked up and saw the group of handsome young men and women before him, he froze.

"You’re trying to sell radishes?"

The owner glanced at the radish in Chloe’s hand and shook his head. "The quality’s no good. I don’t want them."

Hearing this, Chloe didn’t get flustered. She said truthfully, "The appearance isn’t great, I’ll admit, but these radishes were all grown by the villagers themselves without any pesticides. They just look a little rough; they’re not spoiled."

With that, she wiped the radish on her sleeve.

To everyone’s surprise, she bit right into the radish with a loud CRUNCH, not hesitating for a second.

"See? It’s not spoiled."

"Nice and crunchy!"

At this point, you’d have to be blind not to understand what Chloe was doing.

Gabriel added, "Your business is doing so well, you must need a lot of radishes, right? Ours are Fengshui radishes. Not only are they crisp and crunchy raw, but they stay crisp even after pickling."

The owner was amused. "Alright, you’ve made your point. I have no problem buying them, but how much are you asking per pound?"

Chloe immediately said, "Seventy cents!"

"Seventy cents?"

The owner quickly shook his head. "Too expensive."

Chloe feigned a troubled expression. "To be honest with you, we were selling them for eighty cents a pound at the market. Seventy cents is already the lowest we can go. If you think that’s still too expensive... look, I’ll make a concession for you. How about sixty cents a pound?"

The owner hesitated.

He’d been in this business for many years; of course he could recognize the quality of the radishes.

Although the radish in the young lady’s hand didn’t look good, it was perfectly fine underneath the peel.

"Fifty cents a pound. If you agree to that, I’ll take them all."

Hearing this, Chloe hesitated for a moment.

But she still nodded. "Alright. Fifty cents it is."

With that, Chloe turned her head.
