Academy City Outer Ring District, Colorful Pearl Street

A young Catvian sporting golden glasses, meticulously styled hair, and holding a book was walking slowly. He wore a rather loose-fitting student uniform, with a faint smile on his freckled face. He seemed quite ordinary, but appearances can be deceiving.

Though it was just a random disguise, Jiawen performed the role of a student whose core values were ’ordinary’ and ’mediocre’ remarkably well. On one hand, she naturally didn’t want to draw attention, and on the other, she was practicing for a perfect portrayal of someone else.

Indeed, practice.

Although the word might seem absurd for such an accomplished Fraud like Jiawen, she never considered any effort wasted. After all, a task is a task; no matter how low the difficulty, it doesn’t mean she can casually lower the technical quality involved.

In short, as she walked through the street, she soon found her target.

It was a man named Cole Shuren, the only hint her boss had given at the start of the mission. Despite only conducting the minimum inquiry due to time constraints, it wasn’t hard to guess that his purpose aligned with hers: to stand in for some inconvenienced individuals at certain social events.

Unfortunately, assuming the title of ’Sin Knight’ in the open posed too many inconveniences for Jiawen, and certain roles that Ah Qing couldn’t carry out for her meant that, although she had completed two misdirection attempts, she only managed to gather a single name in her spare time—Tan Mo.

Cole Shuren served and followed Tan Mo, and if Jiawen remembered correctly, that name had briefly appeared on the Comprehensive Strength Ranking, only to disappear quickly thereafter. Nevertheless, she began to pay attention to this name, as there were very few in this world who shared a similar purpose with her boss.

With a slight smile in her eyes, Jiawen turned into an alley that had been ’cleared’ without notice, only to be stopped by a muscular, Orc man dressed in a silver trench coat.

"Sorry, Law Enforcement Force business."

Although his appearance was quite fierce, his wording was quite polite. The ’young man’ from the Law Enforcement Force, who studied at a certain Knight Academy, shook his head at Jiawen, softly saying, "Please take a detour, student."

"Very well, it seems the timing is perfect. This punctual spirit is quite endearing."

Jiawen gave a small smile, then quickly lifted her head before he could politely ask her to leave again, with a slight arc on her lips: "Within ten minutes, no one needs to detour, no one has been here, no one has seen you..."

"What..."

"Don’t concern yourself with a non-existent person. You’ve done an excellent job; please keep it up."

"..."

"That’s right, just like that."

Jiawen contentedly smiled at the Orc youth who had resumed his meticulous posture, gently patting his arm: "You’ve done very well. The Law Enforcement Force will be proud of you."

"Thank you."

He replied with a smile, but his gaze didn’t shift towards Jiawen’s position, as she fundamentally didn’t exist. From a logical standpoint, her words, form, and scent were invalid. Even if he heard her words, saw her form, or smelled her scent, he would automatically disregard them due to the incongruence.

This was an enigmatic and unfathomable power, yet it wasn’t the whispering power we are familiar with.

The reason is simple: if whispering power were to achieve this level, Jiawen would need power comparable to the former Violet Empire Marshal Duke—Buffy Marshall. The latter was a genuine Epic Tier Powerhouse, far surpassing Jiawen, who couldn’t even enter the top 100 of the rankings.

Thus, she evidently employed a different kind of power.

Of course, we don’t need to know how Jiawen accomplished it right now; we only need to know what she did and the resulting outcome.

Anyhow, she successfully made the young Law Enforcement Force member in front of her ignore her presence, then briskly walked into the alley.

Two minutes later, she saw the man she had already interacted with three times, a young Thief claiming to serve Tan Mo—Cole Shuren.

At this moment, he was donned in an authentic-looking Priest’s Robe, holding an antique-designed pocket watch in one hand and an excellently crafted mask in the other.

Given that the plan involved cooperation with the Law Enforcement Force, Jiawen couldn’t have him stay at his residence, thus the need to circle around.

However, to save time, she had already prepared everything during their third encounter...which was their last meeting, so now all she needed was to activate the arrangement.

"Hey."

Without any superfluous words, Jiawen simply greeted Cole and snapped her fingers as he looked at her: "Congratulations on completing the task, Mr. Cole."

At the same moment, Cole Shuren’s previously clear mind was immediately replaced by another kind of ’clarity,’ revealing a cheerful smile: "I completed the task, indeed."

"Of course you completed the task, and you did it perfectly."
