Chapter 1425: 1424 Yiyi, are you willing?

Chapter 1425: 1424 Yiyi, are you willing?

Bai Yiyi’s long eyelashes trembled slightly, her mind going blank in an instant.

The man’s scalding kiss, accompanied by his fiery breath, was unmistakably tender. Yet, to her, it came with overwhelming force, like a storm sweeping away all consciousness.

“Close your eyes.”

The husky voice pierced her ears, making her heart jolt hard.

As if bewitched, her eyes slowly fluttered shut.

The man’s hand tightened on her waist, and her soft, delicate body helplessly leaned backward. One of his legs slid across to support her as he gently pried open her lips and teeth, his tongue advancing like a conqueror…

The temperature in the room climbed rapidly.

Their breaths intertwined, their saliva blending. Even the air seemed to be sucked dry in an instant. A soft moan slipped past her lips, as if a barrel of oil had been thrown onto a blazing fire, instantly igniting the flames to their peak.

The man’s sculpted, sensual body pressed down on hers, firmly pinning her beneath him.

Her breath hitched.

Bai Yiyi’s previously closed eyes snapped open.

Through her hazy gaze, a glimmer of clarity shattered through. “Ah Kai.”

“Yiyi, do you want this?” Gu Kai’s fiery gaze locked onto hers. Supporting himself with one arm, his other hand gently cradled her cheek, the heat of his palm matching the burn on her flushed face.

Bai Yiyi was lost in the whirlwind of his presence, her mind failing to process anything rationally. The smoldering heat within her body, and the burgeoning desire that unsettled her heart, pushed away all logic. Under the intensity of his undisguised stare, she pursed her lips and gave a small, almost imperceptible nod.

A trace of joy flashed in Gu Kai’s eyes as his lips curved into an enchanting smile. After gazing deeply at her for two seconds, he leaned in and kissed her tenderly…

Sunlight slipped through the gaps in the afternoon curtains, casting a soft golden glow across the bedroom. In the air, an amorous atmosphere spread inch by inch.

Back then, that night, Bai Yiyi had surrendered herself to Gu Kai, then a stranger, under the influence of medication—her experience a mixture of pain and reluctant pleasure.

Though she had some awareness, it was far from clear—it was disoriented and hazy.

But this afternoon was different. Even with the curtains tightly drawn, the room remained warmly lit, bright enough for them to see every detail of each other clearly, making escape impossible.

“Ah Kai.”

As her flushed body was exposed to the air, a faint chill crept in. Bai Yiyi couldn’t help but slit her closed eyes open, her gaze tinged with a dreamy haze as she nervously looked at the man above her.

“Don’t be afraid.”

Gu Kai’s voice was gentle as he reassured her. His movements slowed and softened as much as possible, treating the woman beneath him as the most precious treasure, cherishing and loving her with an almost unbearable delicacy, afraid that the slightest misstep would hurt her.

Meanwhile, at the airport, Fang Zhiwei hadn’t left. Instead, she stubbornly waited at the café.

She hadn’t called her family’s driver, nor had she made another call to ask for a ride.

She simply sat in the café, lost in thought.

Yesterday, she had overheard Wen Ran speaking on the phone. Judging from the tone, it appeared to be a call with Bai Yiyi. When she approached, Wen Ran had ended the call immediately.

This morning, when she mentioned her return to G City, Wen Ran had turned her down.

Not only that, but Lu Zhiyan, Wen Jin, and the others had pulled her along to hang out. Fang Zhiwei was well aware that their intention was to keep her from returning to G City.

Bai Yiyi and Gu Kai—they definitely shared an unusual connection.

A woman’s intuition told her that Bai Yiyi was in love with Gu Kai. As for whether Gu Kai loved Bai Yiyi, the answer in her heart was a resounding “no.”

Because she simply didn’t want Gu Kai to love Bai Yiyi.

Fang Zhiwei had always believed that it was because of Tongtong that Gu Kai and Bai Yiyi had grown closer and closer.

She envied Bai Yiyi for having a daughter and even felt jealousy.

When her father had died, she had harbored hatred toward both Gu Kai and Bai Yiyi. Yet, despite her hatred, she still couldn’t let go of her feelings for him.

Fang Zhiwei was in pain.

She struggled internally—one part of her wanted to forget Gu Kai, to follow her father’s advice and find a reliable man to marry. Yet another part of her simply couldn’t reconcile with the idea.

Every time she thought about the man she loved being with another woman, the tenderness he used to show her now bestowed upon someone else, she was consumed by bitterness.

The ringing of her phone jolted her back to reality. As she pulled her phone out and looked at the caller ID, she realized she had already been sitting there for two hours.

She stared at the flickering name on the screen for what felt like an eternity, her hand frozen, unable to press the button.

The ringing stopped.

Fang Zhiwei’s eyes were filled with deep disappointment and sadness. She called over the server and ordered another cup of coffee.

When the server brought over the coffee, they noticed her staring blankly at the phone, which had started ringing again. Concerned, they spoke up, “Miss, your phone is ringing.”

“I know.”

Fang Zhiwei frowned slightly and finally pressed the answer button.

The server’s gaze flickered before they turned and walked away.

“Hello!”

Fang Zhiwei’s voice carried a faint trace of sadness.

As soon as she spoke, Jing Xiaocha’s voice came through the line. “Sister Fang, have you made it home yet?”

Her eyes dimmed slightly as she weighed her thoughts before answering truthfully, “No, I’m still at the airport.”

Fang Zhiwei was unaware that Lu Zhiyan and Jing Xiaocha had also followed her by purchasing tickets for the next flight. At this moment, having just landed and passed through security, Jing Xiaocha was calling her.

“Why are you still at the airport, Sister Fang?”

Jing Xiaocha’s concerned question stirred a faint bitterness in Fang Zhiwei’s heart. She recalled having called Gu Kai earlier—it had been two hours, and he still hadn’t come to pick her up, nor had he even returned her call.

Jing Xiaocha, on the other hand, seemed genuinely worried about her.

“I’m waiting for Ah Kai to pick me up. He’s busy, so I’m here waiting,” Fang Zhiwei said, her voice unguardedly tinged with sadness and hurt, evoking pity in anyone who heard it.

“Sister Fang, did you call Doctor Gu?”

Jing Xiaocha’s tone was earnest, with no pretense in her concern for Fang Zhiwei.

Fang Zhiwei’s grip on her phone tightened slightly. “Mm, I called him. He said he was busy, so I stayed here waiting for him.”

“Sister Fang, where exactly are you in the airport?”

“The café.”

And so, Jing Xiaocha asked, and Fang Zhiwei replied. Two minutes later, Fang Zhiwei heard Jing Xiaocha’s voice faintly echo through the café entrance, calling out “Sister Fang.”

Turning her head, she saw Jing Xiaocha and Lu Zhiyan standing at the café door. When their eyes met, Jing Xiaocha’s brow unfurled into a bright smile. Walking up to her, Jing Xiaocha exclaimed happily, “Sister Fang, are you surprised to see me and Brother Lu here?”

Fang Zhiwei’s eyes widened in astonishment as she stared at Jing Xiaocha. Meanwhile, Lu Zhiyan had already pulled out the chair beside her and taken a seat.

“Fang Zhiwei, it’s bad enough that you left, but you scared Xiaocha so much she broke into tears. She’s been blaming herself the whole time, thinking she lost you.”
