Chapter 125: Chapter 125: Tough Nut to Crack

Qiao Suluo thought of what Chu Moyuan had endured, feeling both furious and heartbroken. If she were her predecessor, she would absolutely not bear to treat Chu Moyuan like that. They were all such wonderful people. Chu Moyuan didn’t know she wasn’t the original owner of this body, yet he was still willing to believe in her and treat her well. In the Ancient Secret Forest, he had the chance to kill her but didn’t make a move.

It would have been fine if Qin Siyan hadn’t said those words, but the moment she did, she instantly enraged Chu Moyuan. With a sweep of his sleeve, a surge of power struck Qin Siyan directly, sending her stumbling back several steps before crashing to the ground.

"You... you dare strike me?" Qin Siyan shouted. "What are you all standing around for? Get him!"

Qin Siyan had brought two subordinates with her, and she ordered them to attack.

Chu Moyuan said coldly, "It seems Patriarch Qin didn’t tell you. When I went to the Ancient Secret Forest to complete the mission, Patriarch Qin gave me my indenture contract, and I tore it up long ago. Didn’t Miss Qin know?"

When Chu Moyuan spoke to Qin Siyan, his entire being was as cold as frost, radiating a chilling killing intent. He released a wave of oppressive aura, rendering the two subordinates behind Qin Siyan completely immobile. For some reason, they felt suppressed by Chu Moyuan’s bloodline, unable to move or exert any of their strength.

"Since you want to kneel, I will grant your wish." Chu Moyuan twitched a finger, and a burst of Wind Ability seized Qin Siyan, forcing her to her knees.

"You... you dare treat me like this! The Qin Family won’t let you off!" she shrieked. "Chu Moyuan, you simply don’t know what’s good for you! Was it this female who seduced you—ah!"

Chu Moyuan applied more force. With a loud CRACK, Qin Siyan slammed hard onto her knees. She gasped in pain, staring wide-eyed at Chu Moyuan. His strength had increased again.

Qin Siyan glared viciously at Qiao Suluo.

Chu Moyuan protected Qiao Suluo tightly, pressing her head firmly into his chest. He didn’t want Qin Siyan to see her face, fearing she might seek revenge. This female was a lunatic without a shred of reason. But he absolutely would not allow his wife to suffer the slightest grievance.

Qin Siyan glared at the female in Chu Moyuan’s arms with vicious jealousy. She had never seen Chu Moyuan like this. He had always been cold, arrogant, and untamed, his bearing noble and clear, never bowing his head to anyone. Even when he was on the verge of death in the Underground Beast Fighting Arena, he hadn’t begged her for mercy, let alone bowed before her. He remained unmoved even when she threw temptations his way. But the harder the bone, the more she wanted to crush it.

Who would have thought her father would actually arrange for Chu Moyuan to go to the Ancient Secret Forest? By the time she found out, Chu Moyuan had already departed. When only half of the team her father had arranged returned, everyone said Chu Moyuan was dead. She never expected to see him here. Therefore, Qin Siyan still felt that Chu Moyuan belonged to the Qin Family—and to her.

"Chu Moyuan, you dare offend my Qin Family. You’re dead meat."

Chu Moyuan’s gaze turned even colder. Sending down another wave of oppressive aura, a trickle of blood spilled from the corner of Qin Siyan’s mouth, rendering her completely unable to speak.

Hearing Qin Siyan’s threats, a flash of killing intent crossed Qiao Suluo’s eyes. Leaning against Chu Moyuan’s chest and holding him tightly, she whispered, "Mo Yuan, let’s not stoop to her level. We’re in public; we need to stay calm."

If they killed or crippled her, the Qin Family, being the local tyrants, would relentlessly pursue them to the death. That would be quite troublesome. Thus, Qiao Suluo decided to use someone else to do her dirty work. She had wanted to deal with them earlier, but after returning from the Ancient Secret Forest, she had been busy with so many things that she had forgotten about the Qin Family. Since this girl had jumped out to remind her, she would proceed with her plan.

Hearing Qiao Suluo’s voice and feeling her tight embrace, Chu Moyuan knew she was timid and assumed she was frightened. He instinctively softened his voice. "Don’t be afraid." With that, he looked at Qin Siyan. "Miss Qin, the next time you force my hand, it won’t be this simple."

Then, he led Qiao Suluo away.

Qin Siyan remained kneeling on the spot, her face turning alternately blue and white with rage. Sensing the oppressive aura vanish, she ground her teeth. "Find out who that cheap female is for me.

"I want them kneeling on the ground begging me."

She would not let today’s humiliation slide. She was Miss Qin. In Nanhe County, there was nothing she wanted that she couldn’t get. Besides, the mysterious VIP her father had mentioned had already left Nanhe County; the Qin Family no longer needed to be restrained in their actions.

Because of the episode with Qin Siyan, Qiao Suluo lost her mood for shopping. After simply buying some ingredients, she headed back with Chu Moyuan.

When they returned, Que Hongjin hadn’t come back from the academy yet. Only Bai Qianluo was home, having already made many plush toys.

Qiao Suluo looked at the more than thirty plush toys in shock. "So fast?"

Bai Qianluo gently explained, "After awakening a superpower, my hands move faster no matter what I’m doing."

Watching Bai Qianluo sitting there quietly doing needlework, Qiao Suluo felt a sense of plain, gentle beauty, as if he were a classic ink wash painting. She stared blankly for a moment before snapping back to reality. Stepping forward, she pressed down on his hand and took the items from his grasp. "Take a break first. I bought some meat; we’re having barbecue tonight.

"I’ll also make some flatbread to wrap the meat in."

As for seasonings, she could just take them out from her spatial dimension. She remembered promising to send Tushan Feishang some food, and he had given her the Green Spirit Fruit. Other foods wouldn’t be easy to deliver, and since he had grown up eating delicacies in Qingqiu Mountain, he might not like ordinary fare. Therefore, she decided to make barbecue. The concept of barbecue didn’t exist in this world yet. The wild beast meat that Beastmen usually hunted and roasted was quite bland. Her barbecue, wrapped in small flatbreads and sprinkled with seasonings, would taste much better.

Bai Qianluo set aside his work and joined Chu Moyuan in helping to cut and skewer the meat. He looked at Qiao Suluo, who seemed a bit preoccupied, and asked, "Did something happen this afternoon?"

Qiao Suluo didn’t hide it from him and recounted the incident.

Bai Qianluo’s cold eyes darkened, flashing with dangerous killing intent. "Don’t worry. I’ll handle it."

Qiao Suluo looked up into his eyes and immediately realized what he was thinking. "Don’t. Don’t go kill her; it’ll only dirty your hands.

"I heard that Eldest Young Master Qin is in poor health, and he isn’t Qin Siyan’s full sibling. The two of them have a terrible relationship. I plan to meet this Eldest Young Master Qin. If I can use him to get rid of Qin Siyan, it’ll solve the problem once and for all."

That way, they also wouldn’t have to worry about the Qin Family retaliating once they found out.

She continued, "I now have the Wood Element Ability, which makes me valuable to Eldest Young Master Qin. I should be able to persuade him.

"If not, we can think of another plan."

As she spoke, Qiao Suluo appeared exceptionally calm, her eyes brimming with wisdom—a stark contrast to her usual demeanor. Both Chu Moyuan and Bai Qianluo’s expressions shifted.

As if recalling something, Chu Moyuan said, "When I went to the Ancient Secret Forest, I was looking for a medicinal herb called Blood Bone Grass. It’s said that Patriarch Qin was seeking it to prolong Eldest Young Master Qin’s life.

"I heard people in the team mention that the Qin Family even invited the Valley Master of Medicine King Valley to treat Eldest Young Master Qin personally, but to no avail.

"Eldest Young Master Qin’s ailment is a congenital weakness from the womb. Curing it won’t be easy."

Qiao Suluo’s expression flickered. She wondered if she could ask Gu Songlan about Eldest Young Master Qin’s specific condition. After all, knowing the enemy and knowing oneself was the key to victory.
