Chapter 65 The Work Of The Talented.
”Ha!”
Boom!!
Standing in the middle of a newly constructed private training room, was a beautiful dragon woman with gorgeously tanned skin, almond eyes and brunette hair.
Lisa was currently training to work off her urges again and had just blown a hole in the wall with her electricity.
She paid this no mind as the runes engraved in the walls would soon repair the damage and make it as good as new.
Among the three of Exedra’s wives, the separation undoubtedly hit her the hardest physically, as the addictive touch of an incubus plus the nearly insatiable lust of a dragon left her extremely needy.
It’d been over a month since he’d left and it wasn’t getting any easier.
So on nights like tonight where it was particularly bad and she had abundant energy to burn, she’d often end up in here trying to make the most of the last gift her loving husband gave her.
Frustrated that her spells didn’t have the power she wanted them to have, Lisa decided to take a break and sat down against the wall.
Everyday without fail, she would train with Bekka from morning until noon, then she would go and ask Lailah to help her understand spells for an hour or so before she and Mira would go to find Yara for a class on mastering their affinity.
Lisa’s lightning affinity was incredibly versatile and destructive so learning how to use it was slowly becoming the highlight of her day.
It made her feel connected to her husband in some strange way just because she knew they shared the same affinity now.
Although there are a few thousand beings with the lightning affinity so her logic is a little flawed.
“Alright!”
Lisa felt she’d rested long enough and rose up from the ground again.
She picked up her weapon that was leaning against the wall a few feet away.𝒩𝐎𝑣xt.𝒞𝐦
She’d been using a simple training spear that was on the verge of breaking due to all the abuse she’d put in through.
Whilst her mastery of the spear was nowhere near her husbands level, she did possess some talent and thus was picking things up quickly with Bekka teaching her everyday.
Taking out a neatly written letter from her pocket, Lisa marveled once again at her husband’s strange and amazing powers.
< Lisa Clearwing Draven >
< Ancient Hellish Lightning Dragon of Virtue. (Unique Species.)
< First Stage Conditions
– Master lightning body.
– Gain a noble dragon’s pride.
– Survive in a natural lightning storm.
As Lisa looked over the tasks her husband left to complete during their time apart, she once again felt an embarrassed blush burning her cheeks as she read the list.
“I-I am not ancient!” She cried to no one.
While she knew her husband didn’t care about such things, being reminded of their more than 100 year age gap didn’t help her pride too much.
When Lailah first told her and Bekka about their husbands unique ability to see evolution conditions, they couldn’t believe it.
If it got out that he possessed this ability, every evolved under the sun and moon would hunt him down seeking to exploit him.
The trust he’d placed in them to share this information was monumental.
Reading over the list again, Lisa’s eyes shone with determination.
This was the first time her husband had asked anything of her so she couldn’t let him down!
She would make sure that upon his return he would be able to look upon her and see that she had accomplished everything he’d asked of her.
It was the very least she could do for him for making all of her dreams come true.
Lisa gently folded the note back up and placed it into her pocket before closing her eyes to focus.
Among those with certain affinities, there are those who are particularly talented and can change they bodies composition to become that of their element.
And among that minute pool of individuals, those who can do it with the lightning affinity are far and few.
To perfectly meld oneself with such a chaotic and intense element like lightning would usually bring disastrous consequences for those who took the process lightly or were simply untalented.
It would be extremely difficult task for her to master this before her husband returned but she simply had to do it.
“I will never let your faith in me go to waste!”
Her eyes became a bright gold and her body began to crackle with electricity.
–
The next day, Lisa was heading down into the city on her own to run a special errand.
While Yara and the other wives protested fiercely, Lisa simply wasn’t used to guards or fancy carriages so she’d rather keep things simple and not draw so much attention.
Although wearing a simple green sleeveless summer dress, she was eye catching enough that her effort was moot anyway.
Upon arriving in the city, Lisa headed directly to a weapon shop that was owned by a friend of hers.
The reason for this sudden outing was that Bekka had recommended that she get a weapon made for her that also suited her powers.
She couldn’t use the training spear forever after all.
While Yara offered to commission some dwarves for the project, Lisa insisted she had someone in mind already.
Ring!
“Welcome! How can I-… Lisa is that you?!”
A sheepish smile spread across Lisa’s face. “It’s me Val.”
Standing behind a counter lined with weapons was a hybrid woman with a shocked expression.
Valerie Dord was a rare half human half dwarven woman.
Even though dwarves and humans typically did not get along, there were a few rare cases.
Despite her heritage, she was actually tall for a human woman but possessed an extraordinarily defined physique that was the trademark of dwarves.
She had long black hair and skin that was tanned from working on the forge for hours on end and wore a pair of simple black glasses.
Valerie quickly hopped over the counter and rushed to give the dragon woman a big hug.
“I haven’t seen or heard anything about you or Mira for so long I thought maybe he’d-“
“No, he didn’t find us don’t worry.” Lisa quickly returned her friends hug and eased her worries.
“T-then were you hiding from the SnowScales?”
Lisa simply shook her head.
“Start talking shithead I was really worried!” Valerie’s concern quickly changed into anger seeing as her long lost friend was taking her sweet time telling her where she’d been.
Lisa paid no mind to her friend’s fiery nature, as she was already used to it by now and smiled instead. “I got married.”
“…eh?”
Valerie who was considered to be a sharp woman by most, felt her brain completely shut down when she heard her friend utter the three words she never expected to hear from her.
–
“You married the fourth prince…” Valerie asked as she rubbed her temples.
“Yes!” Lisa nodded happily.
“And he even adopted Mira..”
“Without bating an eye!”
“And now you’re living in the castle..?”
“It took a lot of getting used to but it’s lovely!”
Lisa excitedly told Valerie a brief summary of events since she’d married Exedra as well as the reason for her showing up today and the dwarven woman was absolutely taken aback.
Rubbing her temples was no longer helping her shock so without uttering a word, she walked towards the front of the store and changed the open sign to closed before she brought out some expensive liquor and some glasses.
“We’ll get to your weapon later but for now I have a lot of questions.” Valerie’s then poured a glass for the two of them.
Lisa could only smile bitterly as she saw the state of her friend.
“Is it true what they say about him?”
For the first time since they’d been friends, Lisa’s face curled upwards into a smile of obsession that Valerie didn’t recognize.
“He is everything they say and so much more.”
