Chapter 1090: Chapter 531: The Bold Bull and the Fiery Mouse

On the road, Li Ang checked the communication devices previously given to Lily and Diao, but there was no response.

In the woods, quite a few magical creatures were startled by Li Ang’s arrival. He figured out that they had already been frightened before him, and someone else had already scared them.

"What’s going on?"

As he continued forward, he heard sounds of a conflict ahead.

Several students dressed in short robes and holding magic staffs were casting spells at a figure in the woods, but few of the spells were lethal; most were binding spells.

In Li Ang’s view, these Mistrem students were already considered elite for their age, all around Tier Five, capable of casting a binding spell in about three seconds.

"Truants gathering! You have severely violated Mistrem’s school regulations. Come with us to the disciplinary committee!" a mage student shouted.

The figure in the woods responded with a giant stone that was hurled their way.

The mage student raised his staff to cast a spell, using the Object Control Technique to slow the stone’s advance.

"Watch me!"

A student in the back completed a large-scale Slow Magic after a long preparation time. With a point of his magic staff, a massive clump of mana formed as ice. It exploded instantly, spreading out like the birth of stars from the spell’s original point, freezing several trees in an instant and covering the ground with a layer of frost.

"Frost Nova! Let’s see how you dodge this!" the casting disciplinary committee member exclaimed happily.

This move was indeed impressive, Li Ang nodded inwardly. If the opponent were of ordinary level, they would have been slowed down.

As the cold spread towards the figure, the figure in the woods stomped on the ground as if releasing Earth Magic, causing the entire ground to upheave, and the surrounding trees to topple over with the upheaval of soil.

"Hyaah!"

The short-statured maiden shouted loudly, the sound waves creating a shockwave under the enhancement of magic power, causing a shudder in the four students who besieged her.

This ability is common among powerful warriors and is also seen in some Horned Race individuals, considered a racial talent of theirs.

Taking advantage of this momentary delay, the maiden raised her leg and kicked forcefully, sending the toppled trees flying towards the mages.

The fallen trees originally had lush canopies, entangled together, not easy to be moved, yet the power of the impact on the tree trunks was unimaginably huge. Even though the branches forming the entire canopy bent and shattered under the force, the trees’ advance was not stopped.

The trunks moved like defensive traps in a siege battle, blocking the entire front and flanks, rolling towards them.

Seeing the tree trunks about to crush him, the foremost disciplinary committee member raised a semi-circular magical shield composed of polyhedrons, only to be engulfed by the storm of rolling tree trunks and wood chips.

This person should be fine, Li Ang thought. The defense spell, known as Bouncy Magic Ball, is a strong defensive magic before reaching the Excellence Realm, hard to master, but it can deflect attacks of equal tier magic in a short time, so these tree trunks couldn’t harm it.

The tree trunks formed a broken wood vortex centered around the Bouncy Magic Ball, and the three behind took the opportunity to cast the Flying Technique. Li Ang noted their armbands allowed them some leeway in bypassing school regulations, allowing them to fly in the no-flying-zone campus.

In the woods, the small figure suddenly jumped into the air, charging towards them with a loud shout.

Leaving the shadows of the trees, the appearance of the Horned Race girl was revealed. She had a baby face full of childish charm, and a pair of mighty horns raised skyward, appearing formidable even among her kind.

Her inherent traits as a female of the Horned Race, like the giant horns, were equally eye-catching and hard to ignore. She chose an extremely wide mage robe uniform, the hems cut short, making it look a bit bulky on her.

This girl was undoubtedly ALulu, her eyes now reddened, shouting hoarsely, dragging a club made from a log, with movements suggesting she intended to hit someone hard.

"Get out of my way!"

At this moment, she evoked the intimidating image conjured by the word "Powerful God."

Presumably, this was also the reason for the "reversal", as her usual soft and innocent demeanor was entirely absent.

Seeing her charging towards them, the three disciplinary committee members hastily activated the Flying Technique to dodge. Fortunately, ALulu relied on jumping to fly, unable to change direction mid-air, allowing them to evade her attack.

ALulu dragged her voice as she landed back in the woods. The three in the sky regrouped, and one of them said, "Too ferocious, this truant gathering, how about..."

"It’s actually the transfer protest association," came a brand new female voice suddenly.

"Who?!"

The three of them looked in different directions but found no sign of the speaker, growing even more frantic.

"Watch out!"

The disciplinary committee member below used Qi Explosion Technique to shake off the logs pressing down on the Bouncy Magic Ball, loudly warning them.

A fiery meteor suddenly appeared in the sky, flickering like demon fire on a summer night. Even though the mage students noticed it, their eyes couldn’t keep up with its speed.

"Who is it now?!"

"It’s the magical star from the truant association someone mentioned earlier!"

The four raised magical shields and gathered together, wary of the fiery spark swirling chaotically in the sky.

The spark sped past them, leaving behind a flame impact, the exploding orange flame star resembling a blossoming flower.

The Disciplinary Committee members panted heavily as they used Water Magic to douse the flames, but the fiery tails trailing from the sparks refused to be extinguished. Slowly, they coalesced in the air to form a cute, blue-haired young girl with beast-like ears.

Her Mage Robe exposed her back for better cooling, a typical style for her race. Unusually, she was cloaked in a billowing Flame Cloak, the rising flames resembling her wings.

"Is this the first time seeing her, is she from the Beast-Earkin? Why does she feel more like an Elemental Creature?" a student shouted.

It’s Othella, what has she turned into? In the woods, Li Ang enhanced his vision with Spiritual Enhancement to observe the situation in the sky.

"How many waves do you plan to send before it’s over? We’ve already said, our demand is to let us transfer schools; otherwise, we’ll strike." Othella smiled, her tone flippant, in stark contrast to her previous shivering and shrinking demeanor.

Once she gained confidence, she no longer gave off a sneaky feeling but instead appeared bright and cute, even with a bit of a bewitching aura.

"Mistrem was already allowing school transfers; it’s just your grades are frightfully low. Can someone really score that low?" a member of the Disciplinary Committee said.

Othella’s body trembled, and her eyes twitched.

"Hmm, we’re academic failures, it’s true, isn’t it? But in terms of combat power, none of you deserve to stand before me."

She raised a slender tree branch, flames wrapping around it to transform it into a Flame Bow, aiming it at the Disciplinary Committee and firing a Flame Shot.

"Come on, until I’ve exhausted my last spark, I’ll fight for our school transfer to the end. Let’s see if you have the ability to subdue me," Othella said arrogantly.

The beast-eared girl swiftly drew her bow and shot arrows, raining Flaming Arrows down like rain to cover the sky. Each was no weaker than a shot of Fire Attribute Magic, and the Mage Students struggled to hold on, nearly collapsing.

These Disciplinary Committee members were naturally unable to withstand the power of a Sub-grade Star Soul, layering who knows how many Accelerations on themselves as they fled quickly towards the edge of the forest.

"No wonder Jack doesn’t come here anymore, these crazy women, run!"

The fire rain that Othella launched set the forest below ablaze. Just before becoming a raging inferno, Mistrem’s Repair Array was triggered, summoning downpouring clouds to extinguish the fires.

Othella stood mid-air, looking towards the forest where ALulu stood among scattered wood pieces, meeting her gaze.

The beast-eared girl descended, heading toward her partner: "Those professors still haven’t come."

ALulu snorted: "They’re just a bunch of irresponsible cowards, unwilling to meet our demands, so they only send random folks our way."

The two of them headed deeper into the woods, with Li Ang following behind them.

He roughly understood their situation.

Whether due to personal will or because of the reversal, now the two of them had united into a school transfer alliance, trying to force Mistrem to bypass transfer restrictions to meet their demands, not hesitating to cause a scene to achieve this.

However, it wasn’t clear exactly how they were causing a scene; it was only known the Disciplinary Committee was in conflict with them.

Meanwhile, Li Ang felt that this "reversal" had implications.

The reversals happening in Mistrem and even Thousand Tower City did not transform everything into their opposites one by one. The academy they were in functioned in a manner closely resembling what Li Ang was familiar with and hadn’t turned into complete chaos, nor had it shifted from learning Magic to studying Combat Skills or the like.

Reflecting on people Li Ang was familiar with, the reversal primarily manifested in personality changes. Not everything was completely reversed; for example, Dorothy was still, uh, quite indulgent in certain matters.

Othella had her usual blue-haired state and her blazing Star Soul state. However, she was merely wearing a Flame Cloak now, and her hair hadn’t changed color, indicating she transitioned from a timid personality to her current arrogant and unruly one.

Meanwhile, the combat skills of the Mouse and Xiaoniu hadn’t changed.

Moreover, alongside the personality changes, memories seemed to have altered too, as if there existed a "school story" script. If Li Ang hadn’t broken free, he might still have been acting according to it.

Based on the memories in his mind, in this script, "Li Ang" was only focused on studying Magic well, indifferent to those around him, even somewhat evasive.

The reversal, concerning personality and skills, sought to achieve the effect of...

As Li Ang was pondering, he realized he had already been surrounded.

From three directions, stood ALulu, Othella, and Diao.

Othella sat on a tree branch, swinging her legs, while ALulu carried a large wooden club on her shoulder, a wary look on her face.

Li Ang glanced at the brown-skinned young girl who had entered the city with him. She too was covered in change memory and didn’t recognize him, only holding onto a tree warily.

Did the Forest Spirit report my presence?

If not for Diao being here, by lowering his Spiritual Activity, ALulu and Othella couldn’t have noticed him.

Xiaoniu raised a wooden club and pointed at Li Ang, shouting, "Who are you! Are you with the Disciplinary Committee?"

Her stern expression combined with her childish features made her seem like a small animal pretending to be fierce.

Li Ang lingered his gaze on her face for two seconds more, which made ALulu feel her authority was challenged, her eyes reddening and breathing heavy.

"Speak up! Do you want to feel the force of my blows?!"

Seeing how she’d lash out at the slightest irritation, Li Ang quickly displayed a friendly demeanor.

"I’m here to join you."
