Fated To Three, And I Broke Them All

Chapter 469: 469-While He Is Missing, We Suffer
Jaguar:
Few Hours Ago:
"Theodore, do you even realize what you’re saying? You’re accusing my mate of cheating on me!" My voice cracked as I confronted him, struggling to believe what I had just heard.
"Keep your voice down. I’ve already made enough of a mess by shouting," Theodore grunted, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles kept cracking.
His jaw was tense, his teeth gritted as he struggled to contain his anger.
And honestly, I couldn’t blame him. The news we had just received was devastating, especially when we were already so distressed over what had happened last night. Now, on top of everything else, we were finding out that Ragnar and Verity had been pulling the wool over our eyes for quite some time.
And to think Ragnar had always acted as though Gigi was the only woman he had eyes for, it was even disgusting.
"But now that I think about it, it all makes sense," I hissed, throwing myself into Theodore’s chair and staring at the floor, unable to wrap my head around everything.
It was too much information to process, too shocking and absurd for my mind to make sense of.
"His attention toward Gigi had been decreasing. He acts like such a decent man in front of her, but the moment he’s alone with Verity, he suddenly wants to be a bad boy and indulge in things he knows are wrong," Theodore muttered, pacing around the room as his frustration continued to build.
Meanwhile, my own mind was burning with anger, and the more I thought about it, the harder it became to control myself.
"Do you think this was his way of getting back at us?" I suddenly asked.
Theodore stopped pacing and turned toward me, his eyebrows drawing together.
"Getting back at us for what?" he questioned.
"For having to carry our burdens since childhood. I always wondered how someone could be so good to us without ever expecting anything in return. Maybe he was just waiting for the right moment to stab us in the back," I snapped, lifting my gaze to his face.
Theodore seemed to consider my words before slowly nodding.
"And we were such fucking idiots that the moment we got a little closer to Gigi, we started drowning in guilt. But look at him! He doesn’t even seem to feel guilty about what he’s done. He never bothered telling us anything, and if Verity hadn’t come clean, he would have continued lying to our faces!" Theodore growled, finally losing his temper and driving his fist into the wall.
The sudden impact made me look up, but before either of us could say anything else, the door swung open and Gigi hurried inside.
"Hey! What’s going on?" she cried, immediately rushing toward Theodore and reaching for his injured hand.
"Stay away from me!" he shouted, jerking his hand away from her.
Gigi recoiled, visibly hurt by his reaction, and I couldn’t help feeling bad for both her and Theodore.
After all, taking our anger out on Gigi was wrong. She hadn’t done anything to deserve it, but I could understand why Theodore was reacting this way.
She was Ragnar’s mate, and while we had been going out of our way to look after her, Ragnar had been fooling around with ours.
The sheer unfairness of it was enough to make anyone lose their mind.
"What happened? Did I do something wrong?" Gigi asked innocently, looking between us with confusion written all over her face.
Theodore and I exchanged a glance, realizing that she still had absolutely no idea what was going on.
And for some reason, seeing her standing there so unaware only made the anger inside me flare up again. The desire for revenge began taking hold, and I found myself thinking about how easily I could make Ragnar suffer for what he had done.
If it had been any other woman, I would have personally handed her over to Ragnar on a silver platter without a second thought.
But it was Verity.
Ragnar had certainly made us pay a heavy price for all those years he had spent taking care of us.
For a moment, I was tempted to tell Gigi everything myself, just so Ragnar wouldn’t get to enjoy his life in peace while we suffered because of his betrayal. But before I could act on that impulse, another thought crossed my mind, followed by my wolf’s mocking voice.
"Yeah, sure. Go ahead and tell Gigi everything so she can break up with Ragnar and leave him free to be with Verity. That would be a brilliant idea, wouldn’t it?" my wolf sneered.
My entire body stiffened at the thought, and I immediately abandoned the idea of telling Gigi anything.
When I looked up, Theodore was already regretting the way he had lashed out at her.
"I’m so sorry. I didn’t realize it was you," he apologized, his expression softening as he looked at her.
"But what has made you so angry that you’ve completely lost control of yourself?" Gigi questioned, reaching for his injured hand.
She quickly pulled out a handkerchief and began wrapping it around his palm, carefully tending to the injury.
"Trust me, if I told you what happened, you’d be just as furious," Theodore muttered, still struggling to contain his frustration.
The moment he said that, Gigi’s curiosity seemed to intensify, and I knew I had to intervene before he ended up revealing something we would both regret.
"Ragnar is missing, and you know how much we brothers love him," I quickly explained.
Theodore turned toward me with a confused expression, but I gave him a look, silently warning him not to tell Gigi anything about Verity.
"But where could he have gone? How can Ragnar just disappear like that? He would never do something like this," Gigi questioned, her concern growing as she looked between us.
Watching her worry so much about him was seriously getting on my nerves, especially when she had absolutely no idea that her beloved mate, her precious boyfriend, had been busy fucking other men’s women behind her back.
"Don’t worry, Gigi. You should go home. We’ll find him," I assured her, offering a faint smile.
Whether Ragnar wanted it or not, one thing was certain.
Gigi could never find out what he had done, and their engagement had to go ahead without a hitch.
In fact, I wanted them to get married as soon as possible.
"I’ll go check on Lady Lucille instead," Gigi uttered, planning to leave.
