Chapter 497: Tied Up!
Chapter 497: Tied Up!
Solitary Tempest's eyes quickly lit up when her eyes laid on the map!
"What a detailed map!"
'How did that guy get his hands on this? Did his master possibly give it to him? How come I didn't get one?'
Looking at such an exquisite item, dissatisfaction towards her master arose inside her, but it was immediately snuffed out a few seconds later since she already had an inkling that he was quite unreliable during the time she spent with him learning his craft.
"Yes, this would help you a lot in your travels m'lady since you would be able to avoid all the hazardous areas on the map," Buckley replied while pointing at the hazardous parts on the map that were indicated with a skull legend drawn over them.
"This is the battleground of the tribe of Ice Trolls and Orcs that mostly inhabits this mountain range" Buckley continued while pointing towards a drawing of a long mountain range.
"I know, we were able to reach this place before we parted ways" Solitary Tempest nodded while keeping in mind that the place will be very dangerous to a lone traveler since even their party before had faced a few dangerous encounters with the monsters living on that mountain, most specially the Orcs that lives there.
'I also need to avoid encountering the Thunder Bluff Tribe once I get there' she reminded herself as she was reminded about the danger of that particular tribe of Grey Orcs.
Of course, it wasn't only them that she had to worry about, but also the other monster tribes that reside on that mountain range, like the goblins, hobgoblins, trolls and the like.
"Uhhh…are you going there by yourself?" Buckley asked while he slowly rolled the map before handing it over to Solitary Tempest.
Taking the map from him, Solitary Tempest looked him in the eye and said, "Yeah, why?"
Buckley wanted to say something, but he swallowed his words in the end.
"Nothing m'lady. I wish you safe travels"
Solitary Tempest was about to leave when she remembered something, "Right, something big might happen later. So make sure that no one leaves the village during that time if you don't want anyone dying"
"What do you mean?"
"You'll know when you see it"
She didn't elaborate further as she also wasn't sure if the monster horde would pass by their village.
An hour later, Solitary Tempest had already traveled far from the village.
She's traveling the same way that she and the others had trekked through before, but this time, she's all by herself.
"It's cold" she muttered as she tightened her grip on her coat, trying to keep as much warmth as possible since the torch on her other hand could barely keep the cold away.
"This will be the last time I'll venture this far by myself. He's online, but I can't reach him, something must have happened to him"
While Solitary Tempest is on her way to Mount Rasborg, Shadow on the other hand is currently tied upside down on a tree and he has been dangling like that for the past few hours now.
Not long after the monster horde had started to move out, Shadow knew that he couldn't stay long in one place so he tried to leave and ignored what he saw.
So he slowly and stealthy climbed down from the tree he was hiding at and rushed towards the direction of where his objective is, that is the large volcano in the distance, Mount Rasborg.
With the absence of monsters, the journey was smooth but it didn't take long for a mishap to happen!
One moment he was running, but the next moment, he found himself tied up and hanging upside down from a tree!
Within his line of sight, is that familiar green haired woman whom he saw talking to the red haired man earlier and she had been in the same position since then!
She hadn't once talked or even moved at all!
She's just sitting there with her eyes closed like she's meditating.
Shadow had tried everything to escape, but all his efforts were in vain. This is the most "precarious" situation he had gotten himself into since he started playing this game as he can't even talk, much less send a message to his friends.
Thankfully, he can still receive messages from them, but he is bored as heck right now!
'Just what does this woman want?! This is really frustrating!'
Shadow was slowly losing his cool since he can't even leave the game on his own terms and since his time limit is approaching soon!
Since this would be the first time that this is happening to him, he's worried that something bad might happen if he got forcefully logged out by the game!
'I wonder if the monster horde has already crossed the border? But since I still haven't gotten any news about it from her. There's a high chance that the horde is still bolstering their forces before leaving' questions kept swimming inside his head, questions that he himself is the one answering in the end.
Half an hour later, devastating news came.
[Please be advised that your time limit in the game is approaching soon, you have ten minutes to finish all your current activities. Failure to do so will result in the system forcefully kicking you out of the game, any losses suffered during this time is not the company's responsibility!]
Glaring at the woman, Shadow wriggled his body like a worm. He wanted to yell, he wanted to shout!
But like before, it was all futile as he can't even let out a groan!
'Just what does she want to accomplish by leaving me hanging like this for hours?' he thought. He thought of everything that the woman might possibly want in doing this to him, but nothing came to mind at all.
[You have been kicked out of the game]
Without any warning at all, the game just kicked him out and as the last stream of his data is slowly disappearing. Shadow calmly gazed at the woman and thought, 'I won't forgive you if any of my equipment disappears after doing this to me'
As Shadow slowly disappeared before her, the woman finally opened her eyes and stared at the dangling empty rope and muttered, "Interesting, so the news of people of unknown origins suddenly appearing all over the continent is true. It seems that guy also wasn't kidding when he told me that a human had actually made it this far, and surprisingly, that man seems to be that person's apprentice"
"Hmmm..the Sea Race and the sudden appearance of people of unknown origins. Chaotic times are once again encroaching upon this land" she muttered before she once again slowly closed her eyes and went back to what she was doing earlier.
Back in the real world, Michael's game capsule slowly opened up as he slowly sat up from it.
Rubbing his temples, he muttered, "I hope I don't lose anything valuable"
Exiting his game capsule, Michael grabbed his phone and sent his girl a message.
[I just left the game. Something happened to me so I wasn't able to send any reply back earlier. I'll tell you more about it later]
Ding~!
The sound of a message coming from outside the game rang in her ears, and when she looked over, she saw that it came from Michael and quickly read it.
"How unlucky can I get?"
She had just finished reading his message when she saw something in the distant skies that made her stop in her tracks.
