Chapter 495: Return to Snow Village

Chapter 495: Return to Snow Village

Near the training grounds of the Castle, a group of players gathered in discussion.

"What? We're meeting the King tomorrow?!"

Cereal Killer, alongside the other members of the guild exclaimed in disbelief while staring at Minerva.

Looking at the expressions on their faces, Minerva laughed and said, "Great news, right? and since we're meeting the King of this Kingdom, there's a huge chance this quest might actually be connected to the Main Quest! We just has to do this right and we'll see if my expectations is spot on"

"Then what are we still standing here for, guildmaster? There should be something we need to do, right?" said someone among the crowd of players.

Minerva nodded and replied, "Yeah, let's go shop some clothes"

"Shop some clothes? Ohh! I understand, it's inappropriate to meet the King in our current attire!"

The members around her looked at each other before one of them realized the reason behind the purpose of purchasing clothes.

The members of the Flame Rose Guild immediately left the castle under the lead of a castle attendant who led them to a nearby luxurious shop that only the rich can go to.

And like every shopping with the company of women, this guild activity turned into a shopping spree and it took over two hours before the girls were satisfied with their purchase, while on the other hand, it didn't even take ten minutes before the men were satisfied with the clothes they bought that were very fitting with the concept of this game world that's very similar to the middle ages.

While that was happening, Solitary Tempest had left the city and was at a nearby hunting ground trying to raise her EXP bar and at the same time, increase the proficiency of her Skills.

Minerva had tried to invite her to their guild so that Solitary Tempest could also participate in the Unique Quest with them, but the latter refused since she currently doesn't have any plans of developing in Ovron Kingdom, and starting over at a new location is a hassle for her.

She'd rather go back to her home Kingdom after this since she also has a Quest she had pushed aside when she participated in the Undead Rising Event and she had to go back soon since those Quest are nearing the end of the allocated time.

Solitary Tempest is currently standing on top of a small hill while talking to someone through the private messaging.

[Solitary Tempest: I'm heading back soon, probably after I come back online]

[Minerva: Alright, I'll see you at Snow Village then?]

[Solitary Tempest: Yeah, I'd really love to join the Unique Quest but I only have a week left on my Night King's Quest so I have to finish it as quickly as possible]

[Minerva: I understand. You don't need to explain so much, you already helped us a lot on the way here]

Deep inside, Minerva is a little envious of Solitary Tempest since the latter was able to get a Unique Class and got accepted as a disciple of one of the most powerful NPCs in the game.

Following the end of their conversation, Solitary Tempest took out a parchment from her [Inventory] and tore it in half.

As she did that, a light quickly enveloped her before it shot to the skies and disappeared towards the distant horizon.

[Teleportation Scroll

A few moments later, the beam of light appeared from the distant skies and landed in the middle of a familiar village square and Solitary Tempest appeared with a superhero landing pose.

"Finally back" Solitary Tempest muttered to herself as she looked around her surroundings.

Her sudden appearance drew some eyes on her, but she just ignored them and started walking around.

There wasn't much change to the village except that there are now more players coming in and out of the place with a couple of commercial buildings like inns and houses were built to accommodate the growing population of the village.

A sign of growth for the village as the walls were even expanded outwards and resulted in a lot of vacant plots.

"Sister Tempest"

Suddenly, she heard a tender voice calling out to her from behind and when she turned around, she saw two kids excitedly waving at her with smiles on their faces and beside them, is the familiar old man of the village, the Village Chief, who is currently overseeing the village in Shadow's absence.

The two kids were Mara and Ant, the two children of Sonya, the Frost Dragon and whose identity is also that of a Druid who had been living in seclusion and mingling among the humans in this village until Shadow came and disturbed her somewhat peaceful life.

"Mara! Ant!" Solitary Tempest called out to them with a smile as the two kids ran towards her and hugged her excitedly.

"We missed you! Where have you been?! You have been away for so long!" Mara complained with a pout and Solitary Tempest couldn't stop herself and pinched her cheeks because of how cute Mara looked.

"Uhng..miss you.." Ant uttered softly while softly pulling on her clothes.

Solitary Tempest chuckled and replied, "Well, I have been out adventuring. News about the Undead Horde must have reached here by now, right?"

"Good afternoon miss, welcome back and yes, the village just received the news yesterday night about the Undead Horde from the other side" greeted the old man with a slight bow.

"Hello Buckley, it's good to be back"

Solitary Tempest smiled at him and also replied with a greeting.

"You joined the fight against the Undead Horde? Quick, tell us about it sister! Pretty please?" Mara alongside her brother showed pleading looks on their faces and tried to become cute as possible since they had recently learned that adults are weak to cute things.
