Fantasy Lord: Beginning with Daily Intelligence
Chapter 714 - 401: Insights into the Law of Time (2)
Muttering to himself, Thor’s expression carried a trace of confusion.
His gaze involuntarily turned towards the void.
"Splash!"
The illusory tides rose again.
Thor’s consciousness continued to spread, yet it seemed impossible to find the end of this extension.
As if the future held no place to return, nor could the path to its origin be found.
Time always remains the most mysterious existence.
After pondering for a moment, Thor felt it and then took steps to return on the path he had come.
He did not choose to continue exploring.
He knew clearly that with his current strength and abilities, he was not qualified to delve into these mysteries.
Compared to this exploration, he was more curious about the distant horizon at this moment.
His figure moved.
Thor quickly arrived at the position he had just been.
He glanced at the distant illusory sights.
The next moment, Thor was about to step toward the distance.
Yet, in an instant, he was stunned.
Because at this moment, his steps seemed to be filled with lead, making it extremely difficult even to lift his foot.
In comparison to stepping backward, the front seemed to be an insurmountable chasm.
"Splash!"
"Boom!"
"Rumble!"
With a loud roar, the tide surged into massive waves at that moment.
It seemed like merely his intention to step forward had caused the illusory river to sway violently.
Even this mere thought seemed unbearable.
"Unable to go to the future?"
Thor’s eyebrows furrowed slightly.
His expression was filled with a trace of puzzlement.
And just in his confusion.
"Buzz!"
A ripple emerged from his body at that moment.
"World matching in progress."
"Match failed!"
"System updating."
"Special permission activated."
The mechanical voice suddenly rang, causing Thor to be slightly taken aback, his expression showing a hint of amazement.
He never expected the system to respond at this moment.
Moreover, Thor quickly noticed something unusual.
That is, his body seemed to be able to move again.
Yes, it seemed it could move.
With a stirring in his heart, the next moment, his consciousness stepped forward again.
This time he finally took a step forward.
And it was just a step.
"Boom!"
The entire world sank slightly.
The next moment, the entire illusory tide surged in monstrous waves, and Thor felt his consciousness sink. When he came to his senses again, he found himself seemingly returned to the Demon Beast Mountain Range.
But unlike before.
He was still overlooking the scene, just as he was before.
Below.
An identical version of him was advancing with the Knight Order.
And within his field of view.
On the other side, a large Knight Order was simultaneously advancing towards his direction.
"Natives of the Yulan Continent!"
Thor murmured softly, a bit surprised.
And amidst his surprise.
The two groups collided.
The battle erupted instantly.
The carnage spread; this Knight Order’s strength wasn’t weak, with over two thousand men, led by three Divine Domain beings.
However, compared to Thor, it wasn’t much.
The two Divine Domains were dealt with by Thor in less than a quarter of an hour, and not a single one of the remaining two thousand knights could escape.
When the battle ended.
Thor’s consciousness was once again elevated.
In a daze, he found himself once again above the tides.
At this moment, the tides had risen to massive waves.
Simultaneously, Thor felt that resistance again.
However, this resistance differed from before; it was just resistance, lacking the feeling of immobility.
After a moment’s hesitation, Thor stepped forward once more.
"Boom!"
With his movement, the tide surged into waves, no longer mere ripples but waves.
The enormous tide almost covered Thor in an instant.
Yet a formless ripple enveloped him, preventing the tide from immediately engulfing him.
And he stepped into it once again.
"Kill!"
"Damn it!"
"Why is there an Abyssal aura here?"
"Protect the Ancient Tree of Life."
"Ahhhh!"
Grievous screams echoed in his eardrums; the moment Thor’s consciousness returned, he found himself staring in awe at the scene before him.
The dark sky, the bloody earth.
Flames spread throughout the forest.
Knights scattered in disarray.
Fear inevitably spread.
Thor’s consciousness condensed, realizing the forest had fallen into a sea of fire.
At the center, a massive ancient tree swayed, emitting green light covering the surroundings.
Yet it was futile, as flames and bloody aura continuously tainted the surrounding world.
Suddenly, Thor recalled something, his consciousness instinctively looked towards a spot guided by an unseen feeling.
There.
Two figures stood in the void.
And just as he saw them, Thor’s consciousness sank again.
When he came to his senses once more.
He abruptly realized he was back in the void once again.
And at this moment, his body could move.
"This!"
Muttering, Thor’s expression was still somewhat dazed.
It was unavoidable; he just experienced something unprecedented.
Something never imagined before.
Traversing the past, stepping into the future, leaving his consciousness dazed and unable to recover fully.
Yet in his daze, unsure if it was an illusion or a dream.
"Splash!"
The illusory tide flowed again.
The next moment, Thor’s consciousness was drawn, instinctively looking at the distant tall ancient tree.
At this glance, his pupils constricted intensely.
Because at this moment, surrounding the towering ancient tree was the same illusory river he had stepped onto before.
His pupils shrank intensely, his inner heart stirred uncontrollably.
After a while.
Thor took a deep breath.
He stepped forward.
His figure treaded the void, as if walking on solid ground.
In a moment’s time, he stood before the gigantic tree.
And now he saw the countless silver-moonlit fruits on the ancient tree.
"Moon-Gazing Fruit."
Thor murmured softly, his expression holding some doubt.
Though he had never seen a Moon-Gazing Fruit, he understood it, and the scene before him seemed a bit off.
Especially recalling his recent experience, ripples stirred in his heart.
Though this ripple did not last long.
Thor thought for a moment, then stepped forward.
Without attempting or probing.
He had a feeling that even though the Moon-Gazing Fruit had undergone inexplicable changes, there was nothing more suitable for him than this.
Though just a tremor, Thor still chose to trust this feeling.
"Splash!"
With his step, the illusory river surrounding the tree surged into waves.
Yet it was merely waves, with no other changes.
Thor felt the same.
Approaching the tree, Thor’s gaze fell on the numerous ripened Moon-Gazing Fruits.
And like the tree, the Moon-Gazing Fruit was surrounded by faint strands of aura, but this aura was negligible.
Thor’s heart stirred.
Then his body slowly floated upward.
Gradually arriving in front of a Moon-Gazing Fruit.
And as he reached it, his pupils constricted once more.
Because at this moment atop the Moon-Gazing Fruit, there was also an illusory long river.
The river flowed, stirring up waves.
And for some reason, Thor felt his mind and consciousness seemingly being drawn again.
No, not just his consciousness.
But his entire soul, even his entirety, seemed to be drawn in.
Almost instinctively, his right hand reached out and touched it.
"Splash!"
As Thor’s right hand touched, the sound of the illusory tide surged upward.
In a daze, a hazy image of the illusory long river appeared before his eyes; he seemed to step onto it once more.
