Fantasy Lord: Beginning with Daily Intelligence
Chapter 713 401: Comprehending the Law of Time
Consciousness continually ascends.
"Splash!"
The sound of illusory waves rises once more, and in the next moment, layer upon layer of waves instantly appear in Thor's vision. At the same time, his consciousness inevitably sinks, and in the next moment, he feels as though he is amidst the waves.
Along with each surge of the waves.
One by one, visions begin to emerge.
"What is this?"
Fragmented and scattered visions appear, bringing a hint of astonishment to Thor's expression.
But soon, this trace of astonishment transforms into horror.
Because at this moment, within those layers of waves, there are visions.
Within those visions, he is present too.
Scenes of him walking in the Demon Beast Mountain Range.
Scenes of him reaching the depths of the demon beasts.
Moreover, scenes of him fighting continuously on the Yulan Continent.
Each vision, fragmented and scattered, unable to see the full picture.
Yet precisely because of this, Thor's heart trembles uncontrollably.
Because everything in the visions has not yet been experienced by him.
But it is something he is destined to go through.
"Time!"
"Could this be?"
Thor murmurs to himself, his heart agitated suddenly.
Suddenly, as if he had thought of something, his gaze instantly shifts behind the waves.
"Splash!"
The phantom waters flow again, layers of waves covering, and compared to the front, the waves behind appear much smaller, while the visions become increasingly clear.
As Thor's gaze focuses, the first thing he sees is a familiar scene.
It's a scene set in the Northern Territory of the Tulip Kingdom.
Back then, he was amidst the Divine Ruins where deities had fallen.
Strands of the Death Law were continuously entwining on him.
Almost identical to his memory.
And as he keeps looking, he sees more scenes from Sela Kingdom, Macedonian Kingdom, Natural Forest, and Canaan Academy.
Time seems to be engraved in the river at this moment.
Even when Thor subconsciously looks into the distance.
He can see more distant events.
For instance, his figure during the chaos in the Northern Territory.
Or the conflict of the Northern Alliance on Eagle Ridge.
Or his figure stepping into the Northern Province.
Scene after scene appears, both familiar and somewhat unfamiliar.
And precisely because of this, Thor's mind instantly immerses into it entirely.
Threads of consciousness ripple, countless forces intertwining.
For some unknown reason.
Thor suddenly takes a step.
"Splash!"
The illusionary waves flow, and in the next moment, the entire ephemeral river begins to churn up layers of waves.
Thor feels a resistance.
But just in a moment, the resistance completely disappears.
Thor's figure moves as if walking on flat ground, treading through the illusory waves.
As he walks, the surrounding scenes transition from blurry to real.
Thor sees more, even witnessing his own past.
Until his figure arrives at a juncture within the illusory river.
His figure finally halts.
His gaze inevitably falls onto the juncture, onto the layers of illusory visions.
The scene within the visions, Thor still vaguely remembers.
It was when he went to a small town of the Dressrosa Family to purchase the Fruit of Life.
Shaking his head, he moves forward once again.
The next moment, a faintly remembered vision appears.
Thor's heart stirs.
Instantly, his figure seems to cross through time and space.
Suddenly appearing under a vast open sky.
The morning sunlight spills across.
Dressrosa Castle.
At the training grounds, young men clad in knight armor, wearing barrel helmets, are shouting. Each face is resolute, sweat flows unceasingly, yet none slackens. As the eagle fledglings of Count Dressrosa, they must demonstrate their worth before reaching adulthood.
Otherwise, even the lowest level of knight status might elude them.
Once they lose knight eligibility, their status equates to the Free People, no longer protected and cherished by the Kingdom's laws, nor blessed by the light of the Goddess of Life.
This is something none can tolerate.
However, evidently, even if intolerable, some ultimately cannot become knights.
"Stop!!"
"Rest!!"
During the training, after a while, Knight Commander Michael's sonorous voice rings out.
"Clang!"
"Thump!"
One by one, sounds hit the ground, and the eagle fledglings of Dressrosa Castle sit down heavily, struggling to remove their helmets. Thor clearly sees a slightly younger him doing the same.
At this moment, he too is gasping for breath, feeling as if his lungs might burst.
Of course, just like in his memory, others are no better off.
Each one is trying their best to calm the bursting sensation in their chest post-exercise.
Some even sit cross-legged, seizing every moment, trying to see if they can condense the Life Seed.
"The past?"
Whispering softly, in the next instant, Thor only feels a powerful pull rapidly dragging at his consciousness, the surrounding scenes quickly retreating.
When he regains his senses again, his figure has clearly reached the river's end.
Indeed, the end.
In theory, this river shouldn't have an end.
But now, there it is.
"Is there no more?"
"Does it start from my arrival!"
