Viernes once again unleashed his Gold Dragon Magic.

Countless golden arrows of light materialized across the sky before raining down over the entire area surrounding Gold Owl.

It was an indiscriminate attack, forcing Ultear, Erza, and the others to divide their attention between their opponents and the barrage from above.

The two beams collided high above Gold Owl, and the violent shockwave spread in every direction.

Cracks raced across the guild building below, while dazzling light illuminated the sky.

Meanwhile, Lucy and Capricorn had already dealt with Sai, who could easily be called the weakest combatant among Gold Owl's forces.

Sai had attempted to use Bond Alchemy on Lucy again, but the technique required time to take effect.

Capricorn seized that opening, rushed into close range, and buried an uppercut beneath Sai's chin, launching him into the air.

Lucy immediately followed.

"Capricorn Flying Kick!"

Her foot slammed directly into Sai's stomach while he was still airborne, sending him crashing back down and knocking him unconscious.

Viernes threw back his head and roared.

Like a tornado tearing through everything in its path, it swept up rocks, leaves, and clouds of dust before surging toward the spatial rifts surrounding the battlefield.

Ultear leaped out of one of the openings and retreated with several quick backward jumps.

"Ice-Make: Ice Wall!"

An enormous wall of ice erupted from the ground.

Even that, however, struggled to withstand the colossal eight-colored tornado.

Ultear had no choice but to activate her magical crystal spheres.

Part of the incoming Magic Power was dispersed into the surrounding air through Arc of Time, while another portion was absorbed by her Dragon Slayer Lacrima.

A trace of disdain appeared in Serena's eyes.

He spread his arms and roared toward the sky.

His body transformed into eight gigantic elemental dragons, all of which surged toward Ultear at once.

The serpentine elemental beasts roared as they descended, looking ready to tear her apart between their jaws.

Raizel's battle with the Gold Dragon God had become even more violent.

Man and dragon continued climbing higher as they fought, until thunder and flashes of energy filled the sky.

The entire region around Gold Owl was bathed alternately in golden, blue, and red light.

Even with the surrounding area being cleared, however, the shockwaves from Raizel and Viernes's battle occasionally spilled down toward the ground.

Viernes transmuted an enormous metal sword several dozen meters long and swung it at Raizel.

Magic Power gathered around the Grey Sword in response, extending it into a massive blade of energy.

The two weapons met.

Raizel's energy blade sliced the gigantic metal sword into several pieces, but rather than disintegrating as he had expected, the severed sections began plummeting toward the battlefield below.

"Watch out!"

Raizel immediately fired several blasts downward, shattering the falling pieces into smaller fragments.

"We've got it!" Kagura called back.

She instantly activated anti-gravity magic, stopping the debris in midair before gradually lowering it safely to the ground.

Above Gold Owl, clouds churned like storm-tossed waves.

Lightning occasionally split the darkness while golden, blue, and red light flashed through the mist.

High in the sky, Raizel and Viernes faced each other.

Several areas of the Gold Dragon God's body had already been scorched black, while frost coated portions of both wings.

Viernes could no longer conceal his rage.

With a furious roar, he beat his wings and charged directly at Raizel.

Irene raised her head slightly and smiled with effortless elegance.

"He won't get the chance."

Both of them could see the situation clearly.

Raizel had been suppressing Viernes from the beginning.

It was almost as though he possessed some form of supernatural instinct—or could somehow predict Viernes's attacks before they happened.

The Gold Dragon God had unleashed several different forms of Dragon Magic, yet not one had managed to land a meaningful hit.

Omnimon X brought the Garuru Cannon across the Grey Sword.

The two weapons aligned.

A colossal white beam erupted like a raging torrent and struck Viernes head-on.

The Gold Dragon God's enormous body instantly lost control.

He plummeted from the heavens.

Viernes crashed directly into the Deltara Mountains.

The impact collapsed the mountain peak and devastated several kilometers of the surrounding landscape, leaving behind an enormous circular crater that looked as though a meteor had fallen from the sky.
